Is there a future for iMT? Thniking about HTK+ IMT and confused between this and Magnite CVT Turbo. Which one do you reccomend for a family of 4? Yearly drive less than 4000 KMs and mostly in city.
With average life of cars as 1st user being a min of 3 yrs and up to 7 yrs, I would go for a top spec of lower car just to get best of tech and safety features. In time by the time I get to change my current car, these features might be available as standard or in mid specs also
Interesting price comparison between the fully loaded Sonet and slightly less loaded Seltos. What’s the difference in mileage for the Sonnet Turbo DCT and the 1.5 IVT Seltos?
Sonet vs Seltos is a doubt that shouldn't rise honestly. You buy a car based on your needs. If the need is for daily commute, city runs, second car, etc sonet just makes sense. Especially the top end model cos if your driving it daily it better have all the comfort features!
@zigwheels i think a car with all the loaded feature is the best option to buy..because we should not feel regret about the features we miss after we bought a car.. What you say @zigwheels..?
Looking at the old Sonet, I would've leaned towards the Seltos. The back of the old Sonet was a bit off, but now it's a no-brainer. At the 16-18 lac price range, I'm definitely going for the top-notch Sonet X Line.
seltos ivt cost 19.30lakh in my city and GT Line sonet which I booked waiting for delivery this month cost 16.80 lakh with more features and the matte paint on the X line is harder to maintain when the car gets abit old
Could someone confirm the facelifted Sonet supports the full-screen Android auto in the 10.25-inch versions(X-line, GT-line), I could see a full-screen Android auto in this video, which is not supported in the pre-facelifted model.
I have a budget of 16lac max,im considering sonet Htx diesel automatic,we are family of four, both kids under 5. Looking at it from perspective of one car to do it all. Highways, weekends, holidays to the beaches where streets are narrow and being small in size its easy to navigate anywhere it goes(as opposed to a bigger car) Also i feel this would do well as my primary vehicle in the city where i use it for 3-4 days a week.
If you are OK with loosing certain gizmos, then I feel fronx seems a better option, and with the latest crash test and in real world fronx seems to do better and at 13lakhs with some discounts, turbo zeta looks a better option for me, and you get that mild hybrid tech too, so that the lag at the bottom end is greatly reduced
Yes do a comparison between a fronx manual vs a venue / sonet imt or a manual, I feel that mild hybrid takes the fronx in front when launched and the sonet might take over due to its better power, but drivability wise the fronx might be better, which is what is what I feel. And fronx is lighter too. So that 100hp is enough to keep the fronx flying.
@@cosmicpebble-s7zexactly as I said a manual vs manual, will be a good idea, as for a auto it's a torque converter vs a dct, I feel a dct in a sonet is laggy or not the same as the dct in a Verna or a seltos
I will go with the Kia Sonet 1.5 U2 CRDi GTX+ diesel automatic for the reason is best in class features and the same engine & gearbox tune as Seltos, Carnes, Venue, Creta, Alcazar its load is in small packs which is favourable in City and highway both so why spend extra on Taxes by buying upper segment car 95% of Seltos features are available in Sonet its wise & smart to go with Sonet which I am doing.
Kia service needs lot of improvement some service centres in Chennai swapping spares between cars I myself faced this issue and Hyundai service is always the best.
Just booked the GT Line sonet for 16.80 lakh automatic and was looking at seltos too but the ivt version is 19.30 lakh round 2 lakh extra which i didn't want to spend on a car which had less features than sonet
It’s not any different. The front seat has been scooped and the seat base angle has been changed, but the difference isn’t that noticeable we’d say. So yeah, still not the most spacious cars around.
The seat size & cushion on the seats of Kia - Both Seltos & Sonet.. Still remains worst in class!!.. Adding on is the stiffest/ lumpiest ride quality in the class as always.. Thanks to hatchback like limited suspension travel!.. So comfort wise.. The Kias remain the worst in class respectively.. The tough/ long travel suspension of Nexon & XUV300 cant be matched by anyone still 🤷♀️
So the Sonet has cemented itself as the premium offering the the sub 4m crossover market so kudos to Kia for that. However this car for all its features and flash is not practical for a small family despite the split fold rear seats, let me explain. That boot was bad before the facelift and its slightly worse now especially if you have a small child. A sensible stroller(think a 3 wheeler with a food tray) will take all of that boot with maybe a small soft bag on top, but the parcel shelf will have to go. Additionally that rear seat is too cramped for a child seat and a passenger(and btw isofix is a necessity if you have a child seat because playing seatbelt origami every time you have to load the child and the child seat in is a big problem), so for instance if one parent has to stay with the baby in the back its going to be difficult to straddle the baby bag in the back and tend to the baby if lets say for instance the baby throws up. Point is this car is best if youre a family of two and you dont have to carry large objects. p. s they should have scrapped the 1.2 and used the 1.5l NA instead as that is a better lower end all round engine, but I guess it would pump up the base price and Kia still needs to give the illusion that this car is still in the price range of the segment.
@@brokeguy5607dude, dont look at litres, that measurement doesnt amount to anything when you have to load actual things in the boot. When you load things like strollers(im talking proper 3 or 4 wheel strollers with tables, not those thin 3d printed ones)you will. Have problems getting them in because of the boot height and width.
@@brokeguy5607 the Brezza does a decent job due to its squareish boot that is taller than the competition's so you could put the stroller in vertically.
@@mindfreeze0838 If stroller is a prerequisite for you to buy a Sub-4m Compact SUV, then I suggest you shell some extra money and buy a stroller which can be easily folded 🙏 . Those models barely costs 6k.
I really wish the hatchback segment is resurrected like the VAG group did for sedans a couple of years ago. I seriously couldn’t buy this jacked up hatchback madness. Being a proud Virtus (car) owner, I would like to see proper hatchbacks on the road instead of these so called sub-compact suvs!
One thing I noticed in virtus is my budget is 15 lakhs, but in virtus, the base without reverse camera itself costs 14 lakhs and next highline goes directly to 17lakhs, I think they have to get their pricing right
