I appreciate you posting this video. I couldn’t find how to get the speedometer cable off and your video explains that well. Got mine out pretty quick. Now to find out why my gas gauge isn’t working properly. Thank man.
Thank you for pointing out the small little allen wrench on the side of the side mirror cable no video seem to point that out and I have been looking for the longest appreciate you!!!🙏🏽

That bolt in cable is not for the tach - its a speed sensor input for the ECM. Hence its mounted behind the speedo. The tach is wired through the flexible circuit board.
Where is the fuse box located? My son has an 86 ss and we are wondering if he just blew a fuse. Unfortunately I am in a different state otherwise I would get down and look for myself. If someone could let me know I would appreciate it. Thanks! Be safe everyone!

Glad you posted this! You saved me a bunch of time thinking I needed to remove a lot more than I did to get the whole thing apart.
I couldn't figure out how to disconnect the speedo cable, thank god for a simple video.

The cable you talking about goes to speedometer, not the tach.

Controla las bujiya de RPM. Revolutions del motor.
