you dont know what you've got till its gone....saw Gary Moore several times, from his 'rock' days to his blues days.......still one of the best tones i've heard live..period!!!!!!!!!!!!
While others switched to sweep picking for super fast soloing , Gary took the hammer-on/pull-off techniques to the ultimate speed level ! He had a lot of muscle power in both hands as well.
i saw him, inspired me, fuck!! why the best must go on? RIP Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, DImebag Darrell and Randhy Roads, long live to rocknroll!!!
Amen to Paul Lander's testimony. I couldn't have said it better.. I feel the same way too. All my life I wanted to watch him play live. Now.....Well t least he gave the world his "Still got the blues...Story of the Blues...Midnight blues.... " Still get's the folks to get off their warm seats and get on the floor....
"Give us a nice note..." - BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!
My dream was to see Gary live, but it wasn;t meant to be : (. The man sure did leave an impact though, what a fantastic guitar player who never stops making shake my head in amazement.
He was an incredible player. I just started checking out his music. One of the musical traits which I dig is that he takes songs from the greats the allmans, stevie ray, BB king and he does his own twist on them. Obviously, you here the original players sound and style, but he changes a couple of notes and the tempo and it sounds great. Do yourself a favor and if you haven't, listen to "Supernatural" his take on santana. Man, it's the sickest tone and phrasing I have ever heard. Rock on!
Love it when he changes for the other guitar and put it on quite loud for the interview man and Gary is laughing, great moment to me, and the part just before, yeah Gary WINDFINGERS, you're right, my mate to say so keep on saying it
It is his signature model...he gave his specifications to Gibson to produce the Garry Moore model but not that there are two different variations of his signature model: one being much better than other other...research it is case you are interesting in buying one.
Yeah, Gary is someone that u can't put to common insults like if u say "he plays fast with no emotion" then show them that thats not all he does, and u can't say he sucks in technique such as fast playing which most does to musicians like BB King cause he too can play fast
+stjarna 3 I wish more players could understand that!! The biggest thing to me is the little things like subtle tone changes, eqing, playing with different picks or even playing without, hitting some notes harder than others,,all about dynamics!
Victor Volpi Well, I hit some hard times. But I didn't really play it too often, as great as it sounded and played, I have too many guitars. I generally prefer Fenders over Gibsons for electric guitar. Even my favorite guitar sounds by Gary Moore was the Strat sound on 'We Want Moore'.
Super lame to destroy the solo at the end of the video. Do you understand how music takes you on a journey and to remove the highest part just doesn't make any sense.
What a great friendly and talented guy he was.
Probably the fastest blues player out there and an awesome singer yet so humble and polite
5:20 The greatest hammer-on ever!! His finger speed was insane.
Why don't you go and dress and speak like Gary too
Shawn Lane.
Wow he just picks up that explorer and a blazing Pentatonic run at 5:23. He was super fast but still meodic and emotional. Great metal player also
steve coscia indeed. I have always been impressed by this particular lick. Such a great guitar player. RIP
Just love the meodic style.
What did you expect? To see him struggling with the guitar 😂
Gary was one of those “10,000 hour” guys. The guitar just gave way to his sorta miraculous hands.
you dont know what you've got till its gone....saw Gary Moore several times, from his 'rock' days to his blues days.......still one of the best tones i've heard live..period!!!!!!!!!!!!
All would be guitarists should listento what he said, it's not how many notes but how YOU express them!....this is pure gold, we will miss him dearly.
Fastest fingers I've ever seen . Wow, I really think he is top 5 most impressive for me
Paul Lander the 2 at the top of my list, sir
even better than the shredding guitarists, right. those guitarists can not pull that much of emotions like Gary Moore
While others switched to sweep picking for super fast soloing , Gary took the hammer-on/pull-off techniques to the ultimate speed level ! He had a lot of muscle power in both hands as well.
Thanks exactly what Joe Bonamassa said about Gary once...one the fastest ring or middle fingers!
The saddest thing its we never seen him playing with Stevie Ray
I have always loved his playing style, sound and songs. R.I.P
i saw him, inspired me, fuck!! why the best must go on? RIP Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, DImebag Darrell and Randhy Roads, long live to rocknroll!!!
A Master of his craft. 🎸🎶🔥
incredible talent, gone too soon! RIP Gary. we gotta jam someday!
Best guitarist of all time, I was lucky enough to meet him.
2:36 Holy shit!! That note sustaining sounds so amazing.
so fast but tasteful, better than anybody else at heavy blues rock.
What a groove monster Gary was! All alone is my favorite way to hear him.
Thanks. Got his signature Les Paul like this one.
My God he was off the charts.
"Anyone can play notes.."
99% of 'music' right there.

Insanely talented and deeply missed.
Absolute amazing!!! He was a beast! Love him
That was a amazing video . Thanks mate. Gary Moore is the best =)
you know you've achieved greatness when you have stagehand switching out guitars for you in an INTERVIEW
Amen to Paul Lander's testimony. I couldn't have said it better.. I feel the same way too. All my life I wanted to watch him play live. Now.....Well t least he gave the world his "Still got the blues...Story of the Blues...Midnight blues.... " Still get's the folks to get off their warm seats and get on the floor....
apart from being recorded with a potato peeler this is a great clip of the Legend Gary Moore.

Awesome when Gary change to the Explorer. Wow thats fast =)
He's not dead.. he teaches God how to play the guitar!
Never ever use the name of God for no good talking.
Vibrato Maestro! Genius
Love it when he changes for the other guitar and put it on quite loud for the interview man and Gary is laughing, great moment to me, and the part just before, yeah Gary WINDFINGERS, you're right, my mate to say so keep on saying it
ACcording to me, One of the best guitar lesson on YT!!
the world we live in doesnt deserve them ..thats what seems to make the most sense
they just wanted to share their worlds with us. and most are now gone, i hope more come.
God of guitar 🎸R.I.p
Gary Moore was one great guitarist, R.I.P.
God Bless America that's amazing.
America?????? America never appreciated Gary.

God of Guitar forever!
Holy shit 👍🎸
生音がここまで聴こえてくると言う事は相当ピッキングが強いね。
Eddie や Yngwie の時代以前、速弾き石器時代的の神的な存在だった。
pay attention to last words: " take care" :OOOO
watch the Fender dvd Gary had best tone playing Red House no surprise
I jizzed when he started shredding on the white Explorer.
That was one of the intro solos to _End Of the World_ off Gary's 1982 album _Corridors of Power._ (th-cam.com/video/8Q0IVkyQ1OI/w-d-xo.html)
WOW!!!
gary simplemente el mejor guitarrista
@SuperlativeGuitar Totally agreed.
what model Les Paul is he playing without the binding
Gary Moore Standard from Gibson USA (not custom shop) line
It is his signature model...he gave his specifications to Gibson to produce the Garry Moore model but not that there are two different variations of his signature model: one being much better than other other...research it is case you are interesting in buying one.
A genious
My God Gary is the God on Guitar.
Is his les paul a studio model? It doesn't have the binding on it. Great tone.. And then he transformed in van halen.
That wee phrase that starts at 6:07 is hilarious lol
R.I.P GARY MOORE
@SuperlativeGuitar Very True Blows Clapton and the rest of the big shots away Gary is the one who wasnt really known But by god could he play
That Explorer is beautiful
yup thats Neville Martin from guitarist right there!
5:19 For a second there, I thought there was a hummingbird caught in the strings 🚒
Yeah, Gary is someone that u can't put to common insults like if u say "he plays fast with no emotion" then show them that thats not all he does, and u can't say he sucks in technique such as fast playing which most does to musicians like BB King cause he too can play fast
that shred on 5:21 you never can beat XD i mean Ever
whats the nsame of the first song he plays
If you can genuinely play.. a good guitar like that one is never gonna be "a one trick pony"
+stjarna 3 I wish more players could understand that!! The biggest thing to me is the little things like subtle tone changes, eqing, playing with different picks or even playing without, hitting some notes harder than others,,all about dynamics!
R I P
.....
Shit he's goood
shows guitar tone is mostly in the fingertips
and what a tone from gary
To me guitar tone is an overall sum of its parts. Guitar, amp, speakers, player, etc. that’s just my opinion
Wow what amp is he playing thru ?
Possibly a Marshall 1974CX, but I'm not entirely sure.
A little orange one ;)
Its a IRISH thing.Like all famous IRISH Musicians..Bring it on!!
Why, oh why, did I sell my Gary Moore Les Paul :(
Yeah man. Why??
WHY, WHY....TELL US...
I had to build my own Les Paul because I couldn't afford the real thing!!!
5;20 HOLY SHIT! moore is the master!!!
dat sustain!!!!!!
thats one his signature models gibson put out
@F4TB0Y69 By Jove! correct.
Super lame to destroy the solo at the end of the video. Do you understand how music takes you on a journey and to remove the highest part just doesn't make any sense.
5:19 that's insane!
Hahahahahaha! I agree, totally.
