One day my wife and I were driving somewhere and this song came on from my Ipod. She asked me this was and I said Gary Moore. After the song was done I noticed she was crying. I asked what was wrong and she said "The song is so beautiful". We would drive from the Boston area to Northern Michigan twice a year and if this song came on the "random'" playlist she would repeat. Often she would skip random and just play it twice. I always love the song as one with great guitar playing. My wife passed almost 3 years ago and I just now really listened to the lyrics. My dad always loved the blues. As a kid, I would go out after school to play with my friends, and then come home around 5:00 for dinner. If this song was playing, I knew that dinner was either ready or almost ready because my dad blasted it throughout the house all the time. I got very tired of it as a kid (because I literally heard it every day and I wasn't into blues). Only years later have I come to respect my dad's taste in music. I must say that just this live recording he has an exceptional sweet guitar tone. Tried to find the same recording on Spotify without any luck to hear it without TH-cams compression. There are other live recordings of him that are really good, but this has something the other are missing. Just when he bends those notes to perfect intonation and it's just the right amount of treble so it's sweet but not ear-piercing. Ok, so after that rant; Anyone knows where to find the recording with better sound quality?

Gary lived 4 roads away from where i lived in hove. He used to pop into a pub called the neptune for a couple of beers and listen to the live music. One saturday he turned up unannounced and played for 2 hours to 100 people max, thats all the pub could hold. He was a very humble man who just loved music. A couple of days ago i visited his final resting place in Rottingdean east sussex. The grave is in a corner with the inscription musician. Yes but what a musician. R.I.P
Wow wow what a story!! Thanks for sharing...Im a 60yr old female and man Gary Moore could play the guitar...wow thought hed be a humble guy..thank you ✌
He is such a master of guitar, and he could literally make your heart and soul feel everything he put into each song. Gary Moore, The Lord of the Strings! RIP
The fact that this unmistakeable guitar genius, is not in the hall of fame simply renders that establishment a complete nonsense. R.I.P Gary you were the greatest!
+MrParisienWalkways Certainly the same could be said about his buddies from Thin Lizzy as well. Anyone ever in attendance at a Thin Lizzy show got their ass rocked that night to be sure...
+Carla Fletcher I don`t have the answer to your question, though it could be, as the US does seem to think that the World revolves around IT. What I do know is that Gary Moore was an exceptionally gifted guitarist who touched the souls of millions through his masterful playing and his wonderful melodies.
+MrParisienWalkways I do not remember that Gary Moore ever toured the US. We have people that are great fans of wonderful guitar players. Gary Moore would have been loved by huge crowds in the US.
I hate that I never got to see him live . A superstar gone too soon . This is THE video. I was weeping before it ended years ago ❤❤❤❤❤ I love to listen to it with headphones on , his tone, his voice … perfection ♥️

When humans started making musical instruments, who could ever have imagined that some pieces of wood holding some taught metal strings together, could create such god-like sound. And that human capable of wielding such a device would be the legend that is, Gary Moore.

Grandioso artista, maravillosa voz y guitarra inigualable.
Tak!!! Zdadzam się w 100000000 %. Kocham go. Był geniuszem. Nikt tak nie "płakał" na wiośle jak on. I tak jak wpomniałeś, kolego, niedoceniony!!
Greetings from somewhere in the USA.
Danke.

may his soul rest in peace ❤
Cea mai buna piesa din lume
Amen to that
Wow thanks for sharing that linda
Wow wow what a story!! Thanks for sharing...Im a 60yr old female and man Gary Moore could play the guitar...wow thought hed be a humble guy..thank you ✌
One of the most under rated guitarist of his time.
Love his playing and sad he's gone.
He is such a master of guitar, and he could literally make your heart and soul feel everything he put into each song. Gary Moore, The Lord of the Strings! RIP
I concur with that... WOW!!!!
I have to listen to this Fantastic Guitar and song, at least once an evening. Sometimes more, all depends...
Nicely put. Bravo! 👌💐🙏
I can't play guitar, but I know a master when I hear one.
Великий Музыкант! Упокой Господь его душу! Он радовал нас , теперь радует Бога!
странные у бога вкусы...
❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The fact that this unmistakeable guitar genius, is not in the hall of fame simply renders that establishment a complete nonsense. R.I.P Gary you were the greatest!
RNRHOF is joke anyways.
+MrParisienWalkways Certainly the same could be said about his buddies from Thin Lizzy as well. Anyone ever in attendance at a Thin Lizzy show got their ass rocked that night to be sure...
Is it because he never became really huge in the US ? I often wondered why he wasnt in too.
+Carla Fletcher I don`t have the answer to your question, though it could be, as the US does seem to think that the World revolves around IT.
What I do know is that Gary Moore was an exceptionally gifted guitarist
who touched the souls of millions through his masterful playing and his
wonderful melodies.
The guitar, the voice, the song, the passion,...everything! 👏❤ Rip.
❤❤❤
His voice never falters once, and that guitar is bleeding it's heart out in sweet melodic agony. This is definitely one of the best live performances of all time.
He has absolutly fantastic voice.

Wish I could say the same about the bassist!
Agree. People seldom seem to pay attention to Gary's vocals, but if if one does, the beautiful soul is there raw and plain open.
@@helminenjuha Sooo true..
This music is a masterpiece, a show to cry on, an art to paint, a movie to watch for hours, and everything in between.

+Shu Gao shut up. .
Fuck off
As a guitarist myself, i loved this guy from the 1st time i heard him. Passion and soul like SRV.
I agree, I play too but when I hear him play , I feel like taking all 7 of my gtrs out to my burn pile and throwing them on the pile.
Im a pro musician 40 years,Memphis area......Gary Moore is the best blues git player Ive ever heard, period
They both always had "IT". It's incredibly difficult to quantify or explain but, when you hear it? You KNOW damn near immediately. UNREAL performance here! He wasn't as much as a semitone out on EVERY single bend. My God. RIP Mr. Moore. You are FAR from forgotten!
Absolutely,I coundn`t agree more.
Agree... soul like a mutha like SRV. SRV and Mr. Moore can make me cry like a baby.

Everything is underrated..this is a overrated word.
Един от най - великите китаристи на нашето време !!! Толкова душа има в неговата музика !!!
Jaaaaa!
If anyone doubted, that Gary was just a guitar player, is wrong. Here he shows, that he was aperfect musician and a pure soul!
Wow!
Heis. Giving. Love to. My heart..
You couldn't ever accuse Gary Moore of being passionless. The pain just poured from his guitar like tears from the sky.
Too true. Just pure soul.

Gary moore, maybe the only person in the world that could express all of his emotions in one instrument.
Inolvidable y mítico ! Dónde quieras que estés gracias!!!!

You are forgetting David Gilmore another Legend
Stevie Ray Vaughn
When humans started making musical instruments, who could ever have imagined that some pieces of wood holding some taught metal strings together, could create such god-like sound. And that human capable of wielding such a device would be the legend that is, Gary Moore.
th-cam.com/video/srRhCJfTFSc/w-d-xo.html
Hello I agree
Elf What a top comment , yes , wood and metal strings. Makes one think.
l've wondered that myself. What drove us to make sounds that weren't "necessary" when a lot of effort was just in survival. l'd love to know how it evolved, the real story. l hope that when you die, all your questions get answered. A bit morbid but l have so many unanswerable questions...
