The comment you shared of your mom wishing she could have stayed home just touched my heart!! There are sacrifices to live this lifestyle, but being together as a family makes it all worthwhile. 💕
I’ve always thought yours a beautiful family. And that you’re just regular people. Keep keeping the standards high. I think we all appreciate it. Godspeed in your travels. May He prosper your work, and He will as you honor Him. I hope we will meet somewhere out on the roads of the USA!
My mom was the sole provider for our family of 4. She divorced my dad when I was 1. She worked at the post office for a while part time then worked at JL Hudson’s. Then a gas station then House of Beef as a waitress and then at a milk company called Michigan Milk. She tests the milk. She did work very hard at keeping us all together. She was the best mom to us and father too! I told her that just before she past away last year! Nathan and Marissa that’s is nice how you 2 met. You both do a great job at working and taking care of your kids and being ok the road. I admire you both very much. You are great people. I’m glad God put you together. Hope you have a great day and see you soon!
I came from a family that worked hard too,…. however, I learned what real labor was when I went to college in Jefferson City and dated a local. Her dad was a tobacco farmer among other things. Now that’s hard, dirty work. But I got to say my favorite thing was hanging the tobacco in the barn. Wouldn’t trade that experience for anything!
Love how real your videos are. Juggling kiddos with a job is always a challenge. As a homeschool mom and blogger, I can relate. There were times when I was so focused on trying to help our family financially that I would mindlessly answer my sons as they asked me questions - never taking my eyes off of my laptop screen. I had to be extremely intentional to stop what I was doing and give them eye contact to make sure I was actually HEARING them and not barely listening to them. The struggle for balance is never-ending!
Lol that wasn’t a vacuum, that was a blow dryer for the dogs after their bath! Haha! That place looks AMAZING! The margaritaville campground I mean. Wow! I love that they do the fire pits so everyone can gather together at night and meet other families and make friends. Very cool idea.
Yes! Be home with your kids they grow up too fast and its over too soon. I can relate to your sweet mom Marissa. God Bless from a Great Gran in MN who retired last April after working 34 years full time and raising 4 birth and 17 adopted children, now ages 14-46.
It’s wonderful that you include your children in your workout. We really wanted to go to Tampa, but we are in Texas. Saw some pics of you with our TH-cam friends.
Great episode you all. Marissa your PK and a nurse. My wife is a PK and a nurse. I grew up on a dairy farm then join the police later in life. You guys got this. Live the Margarita Ville park. Expecting Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet to walk out.
As always y'all are wonderful to watch and inspire my life to be better ,proud of you two on your journey keep living and enjoying all you do ,you make my life worth living !
I am an older man living in florida. I have traveled a lot in my time and lived in 7 states. I am alone now. No family and divorced but your show makes my day. I feel like your family and i get all involved in what you guys do. I know one empty life you have made a difference in. Keep up the great work and love that family and stay together. I hope you also have a journey with Jesus.
Off Topic, sorry didn't know where else to ask this question, and I figured it is important to the average park vacation family. Parks having ticketed reservations just to enter. Some having time staggered entry. Not even showing up first thing in the morning will get you in. If you don't know the new rules, you could drive all day to find a national park that you used to just drive in for a day hike or picnic won't be available.
I worked for 45yrs. in IT . Hard work and dedication to doing the best job you can pays off in the long run. Now my wife and I have the time to go, see, and do the things we never took the time to do. We love your videos and enjoy the journey with you.
I really loved your video this time. I loved the back story of your journey and how yall grew up. It's really inspiring. I wish we could have done that when raising our daughter but my husband is a big machinery mechanic. We couldn't travel. We didn't have much but love and bills. I drove a school bus to look after my daughter because I didn't have help. So I really enjoyed watching this video. We need these inspiring stories in our lives. Thank you for being you. Drive safe. I look forward to each week your story.
This was SO good, SO important that it should be shown in schools and colleges and churches especially to young people. True; everyone won't want or be able to make a living on the road. But the lessons you shared can be applied almost anywhere. Thank you!
I hear you! I work from home most of the time and the kids come in and out....but it's definitely not as challenging as working/living in an RV. Kudos to your family!
Such a great reminder. We’ve been rv life for almost 4 yrs and lately we’ve been feeling the Imbalance of work/play. Need to re-prioritize our family/adventure time over the grind. Even while on the road….
Love this video. Balance is very important. Wish I had done this when my kids were young. Being a single mom that worked a lot didn’t leave as much time for them as I would of liked. What an amazing adventure and gift you re giving yourselves and your children. Thank you for sharing.
Just saw where Camp Margaritaville is planning to expand this concept and open a number of new parks like this over the next couple of years. The one in Pigeon Forge is really popular too.
You guys are doing a great job raising your family and sharing adventures and experiences. I was struck by your statement of having to always assess where you are to make sure you aren't just getting back into the workaholic lifestyle. It is so easy for driven people to fall back into the 12 hour work days and neglecting the most important things in life. From a fellow Tennessean, you guys are doing great!
I really loved that camp ground. It had a lot for kids. Which I think is great for you and others. Can you send some warm weather up to Michigan. Lol. We are going to get a lot of snow on Tuesday night through Friday. I really enjoyed this video. Sending many prayers and love to your family.
Looking from the outside in, i think ye pretty much do balance work and play, but ye are the only ones who can truly know what works. We took time out from the rat race to rare our children, take the chances, do the great adventures, because they grow up so fast, it was worth it. Can i say wow JJ is the head off his Daddy in those childhood photos especially the last one. Loved the toilet note 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for sharing.
You are living the dream. And you share it with so many people. It is lovely to join in on your adventures. Thank you and God bless. Wow quick peek at Nathan as a little kid, it’s JJ. 😁♥️
Nathan wants to talk work/life balance, but Marissa shows that perfect shooting form at 9:21 that never leaves her - where’s the discussion on that? Great video, good approach to a relevant topic.
Oh my goodness!! We made it in the video! (Talking to you guys at the meetup) So great to meet you after watching for years. Love that you guys are just exactly who you seem to be on video! See ya on the road one day.
Nate, one of the pictures of you at a little boy reminds me of JJ and another looks a lot like Hensley. Love your videos and your travel adventures. Take care and have fun with your kids while they are still young. They grow up too fast.
Auburndale-y’all came to our town! That margarita like campground just went in and has almost doubled the rates of everyplace else in the county overnight. It was crazy!

Marissa : "I scored on him", and I thought this was a family channel! I know it really is. Sorry I missed you guys at the Tampa show there was only what, maybe 15,000- 20,000 people there.
