you could have saved time and money and just went to the UP of Michigan again ! LOL in Marquette they had snow storms every week this season ( 12 to 18 inches at a time) and they have snow caves too ! we always wanted to go to Alaska but we are just too old now ! so glad y'all made it
how beautiful. so glad you got to see both places. the kids looked like they had a blast. and you both had a great time and thank you for sharing that beautiful place. God bless you and have a safe wonderful time.
Yes Marissa, the cold and the snow are a package deal. You know it it's getting cold when the snow squeaks under your feet, and you don't lick your mustache in cold weather. I hope you guys were having fun in the snow. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.
As someone that grew up in Pennsylvania, and had snow nearly every winter of their life. It’s so funny (in a good way) to see all of you in the snow and the cold.
Marissa & Nathan’s Most Excellent Adventure. Yes, moving snow is a daily reality for some of us but at least the stuff we move in my area isn’t there for more than 5months & a lot of those times it melts almost completely. Then it starts over! It’s April and the snow is gone💃. The cold wind makes enjoying the snow harder. Also diminishes enjoying the warm rays of the sun after months of cold. It looked amazing, love ice sculptures!
When I lived and taught in Fairbanks the kids would play outside until below minus 20. The kids were tough! During fire drills we would grab coats on the way out and then huddle like penguins.
You all are so brave! I’m complaining because I am still waiting for the temps to get out of the 40’s in PA and you are in sub-zero weather! Absolutely beautiful scenery you are showing and I can stay inside in the warm and still enjoy it!
Ice caves I have been to are smaller than that one need to get there someday. Once it is below zero and the wind starts a face mask is really helpful. Nice you are having fun and JJ is understanding gloves are good.
I think Bob Ross was originally from Florida. He was sent to Alaska when he was in the Air Force. Lived in North Pole, about 15 miles south of Fairbanks.
Thank you Nathan and Marissa for thus video and taking me on this adventure. It was fun watching and seeing the ice cave and the ice sculpting. Hope you have a great week and see you soon!
That was super fun to watch. You guys do the best things. I’ve never seen anyone come from Florida during the winter and do such amazing things. Love this
You guys are really awesome. I remember working for a client outside of town, and it got to -52c which is -61F Stepping on the snow made a very loud high pitch crunching noise.
Okay, I was having a panic attack watching you in that ice cave. This has got to be one of my favorite videos. SO BEAUTIFUL. I live in Knoxville and we don't get much snow either. Well, except for 5 inches in March the morning we were packing up to leave for Kiawah, SC for SPRING BREAK. LOL!! Murphy's Law. Take care and God bless!!
How beautiful!! ..but cant believe you didn't throw a cup of water into the air to watch it freeze instantly. You guys are troopers. I am too claustrophobic to get down into that ice cave.
Wow what amazing talent for the ice carvings! And looks like real fun was had by all. Thanks for taking us along. I hope to make it there one day. Stay safe
Coldest I ever saw was -45 F will in Fairbanks. That was without wind chill. When it's that cold wind chill doesn't matter. 😉😉 The most snow I ever saw was about 3 to 4 feet. That was two winters in Alaska.
In the winter, trucking to Alaska we would go 4 or 5 hours and not see anyone else in the Yukon and northern BC. Looks like we may be doing it again. The colder the better, for driving on snow!
This is the coolest video with The ice cave and ice carving that night and it’s just amazing and the music in the ice caves excellent excellent job you guys love love love it thank you for sharing!
How cool!! I was born in Fairbanks, but I do not remember it. I have only seen pictures. It is on my bucket list to visit someday. I will be visiting Alaska by cruise ship at the end of May but will not be that far north. Someday though.
My friends Chadde and Tammy live in Minneapolis and take their GSD pack on walks along Ole Miss and recemtly posted a frozen ice cave near the river. Their site is 1st508th Airborne and also postd their new Lycan Shepherd pups. If ya stop by, say hey for me😎
Epic video!!! So well put together! I love living vicariously through y’all in Alaska. I would love to go one day, but if I don’t get the chance, you have broadened my world. Thank you!
So a few things about the ice cave It is around one mile there 1 mile back. So 2 miles round trip And it is actually accessible during the summer You just have to follow The left side of the river to get there. But it is less safe to go into the cave and a fun fact on that part it did partially collapse this summer. Not to mention it is just one cave within the glacier So if you went past it on the glacier itself you can actually find other Openings. Also if it makes you feel any better After you hit -20 the temperature feels the same. 😆
Thank you for taking me on your journey.. I put my air on n full blast and had my fan blowing on me in my face.. I was freezing.. so I could feel like I was there 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I got to go to the glacier cave last year in October, it looked completely different. It was warmer so the creek wasn’t frozen and the ice crystals weren’t there.
Thank you for "taking us" to such other worldly stunning places. While we watch from the warm comfort of our home. Great video!
Thank you very much!
I generally enjoy all your videos, I truly enjoyed watching the pure joy in this video. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!

This video reminds me of the tv show Alaska off road truckers. Happy to see you enjoy your self even outta your comfort zone.
Goodness! The ice cave was amazingly beautiful! The ice sculptures were fascinating and pretty! It looks like y'all had so much fun!
That was phenomenal!!! Wow the skill it took to do the ice sculptures is beyond amazing 🥰🥰🥰 So happy to see how much fun you are having 🥰
The bloopers at the end were the best. And Nathan doesn't always play fair, does he....... Enjoying the Journey.
I wish I could heart this 100 times! I laughed out loud so many times and had so many childhood memories resurface because of this video. Thank you!!

It is still windy in Fairbanks! But it’s warming up. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
You all are so brave! I’m complaining because I am still waiting for the temps to get out of the 40’s in PA and you are in sub-zero weather! Absolutely beautiful scenery you are showing and I can stay inside in the warm and still enjoy it!
😂
Love it!! Temps are very much like what we have here in Wisconsin! Love the synchronized dive into the snow bank at the end! Perfect timing! Lol
Wow, I know I've said this other times, but this is REALLY your best video yet! Super enjoyable to watch this from my warm house.
Ice caves I have been to are smaller than that one need to get there someday. Once it is below zero and the wind starts a face mask is really helpful. Nice you are having fun and JJ is understanding gloves are good.

That looks like a blast! Even more reason to visit my friend who lives in Alaska!
‘You get beauty all along your drive.’ Interesting. That is the same thing I say about driving through Arizona.
In the winter, trucking to Alaska we would go 4 or 5 hours and not see anyone else in the Yukon and northern BC. Looks like we may be doing it again. The colder the better, for driving on snow!

Bob Ross was born in Daytona Beach, FL. He was stationed in Alaska while in the USAF.
Oh really! Wow!
NONONONO!!!! Lol that low slide part of the cave!😬Momentarily scary!
