This is breathtaking, I love the colours. This would look amazing on an acrylic pour canvas in contrasting colours. Wow
What in the....ALL of my favorite things all at one time - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL.
THIS is what the internet was made for 🙌🏽😂
My heart is bursting with excitement right now 💕 I cannot wait to try this!
I see a table top in the near future!!
I’m sure that sounds overzealous but no worries I’m a professional artist & have many years experience in all arts large & small : from jewelry/lapidary to remodeling homes lol. I have been looking for a way to incorporate geodes into my living room (coffee table) bc I just got done remodeling my kitchen (after a kitchen stove fire, so please be careful!) & I made & installed amethyst, citrine, Smoky quartz, & Celestite crystal cluster cabinet pulls on all 40 of my kitchen cabinets!
I’ve always been a rock hound & absolutely obsessed since very small. This video came at a PERFECT time. I can’t thank you enough for thoroughly demonstrating how you created & removed the mold - & so cleanly.
You just earned a new sub, dear!
thank you so much for watching! I would love to see those cabinets!
I love how u explain everything thank you .. alot of videos they dont tell u where they get the glass and what they use to put the mold on just this one video really
Helped me more then any of the others thank you☺️💞
Thank you! Glad I could help!
One of the best videos I've seen so far about free form resin geode! Thank you for the details!!

So embarrassed to admit I watched the entire thing again - just for relation! It's just fun to watch you creat magic - also I couldn't remember HOW or IF you got that middle silicone out! I was sure it would stick!😅😂🤣THANX! (I watched for Relaxation! Not Relation- - not getting weird on ya!)😅😅😅😅😅
lol too funny thanks for watching, and yes i got it out lol
Very nice
Thank you
Very good on your design, the one thing that I would consider is adding like sand to the outside of the geode, like real one's. look like. But thats my ideal. Maybe add just a little sand to the edge of your glue at the end of your project to make it look like the real stone. Your thoughts are very creative, keep it up.
Thank you , I have actually made a few like that.. I mixed the sand with resin and dyed it with mica powder... In this tutorial i was trying to keep it simple... but mabye i the next one i will do that... Thanks for watching
Love, love, love this! Great tutorial! Question: how do you know how much resin to mix up?
thank you so much! honestly just learned by experience, I also have a lot of molds so if i mix too much i just throw the extra in a mold
Very nice, love it! Have you tried mixing simple acrylic paint (ex: Apple Barrel or Artist Loft, with resin and making a geode?
Thanks you1 Yes i have when i first started resin.... They work but they are not the best
Amazing
Thank you
great work...but what do you do with them afterwards??
Thank you! This one sold the customer has it on display in their house. It's art you can display it on a stand or hang it in a shadow box ...
You are a great teacher, I LOVE your work❣️ Thanks so much for this project video❤️
Please tell more about the Posca Pens - are they permanent, what colors are best to use, etc?
posca pens are not permanent , you can wipe them off with alcohol.. which is good if you make a mistake... to make them permanent you have to add a clear layer of resin over them
Just found you today. Omg! I’m in love! I don’t see list of prod. In the comments? I’m interested in the crystals in center of you geode? I’m going to try this soon. Tu for a great find, you. Going to watch more your videos right now.
thank you , I got them at michaels
This is so so beautiful and you are a true artist. May i suggest that you wear a mask while you're drilling - see all that dust? you're breathing it in. Just a safety thing. Your art is outstanding.
Thank you and when not filming I wear my mask the whole time, but when filming its hard because I cant talk .... But thanks so much! I appreciate your concern and everyone should really keep there mask on!
Gorgeous! I've been wanting to try this. How much resin do you think you ended up using?
thanks for watching, im not quite sure... i made this a few months back... I will have to watch the video and count
I looked on your facebook group and on here for what you used and where you bought your crystals and colors for the resin. I can't find it anywhere. What am I doing wrong? love the colors.
Hi, Im sorry I need to update my items list in the description box.... The Holidays have been crazy... I used purple crushed glass from Michael and i bought the quarts crystals on ebay i believe ...... If you have any other questions you can message me directly on facebook... I will help you as much as i can :)
@@resinfanatics Thank you so much!!!!
@@resinfanatics im Malaysia loads of art supplies not available and very expensive .. I usually get my supplies from amazon. So if i knew what to get i could a tually follow ur tutorial
Can you reuse the mold and do you have to seal it somehow to the plastic again and if so, with what? Thank you and your art is gorgeous!!
Thank you! I wasn't able to reuse the mold and no sealing needed
truly beautiful i would love to try it and am from Malaysia .. what do i need t order from amazon can you kindly give the list of materials colors used for this piece .. i would truly appreciate it .. thanks again ... i love it so much
my email is tyagemcreations@gmail.com
hi, I just posted amazon links of all the items i used in the description box... thanks for watching
hi ,,crystal from,,, se nd me please link
looks great with the silver ,but will it come off in time??
Nope hasn't yet
Good very good
Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial! I am going to love making these, hopefully. Lol.. I have been collecting these for years, the real ones and this is going to be a blast! Making them how I want! One thing tho... I have never used resin. Does it come in liquid and then hardens if set out?lol. Let me know befoe I go and get all of these supplies. So, please let me know about the resin? Is it one step process that is a liquid or is it ×qql mixed product that I have to do? I feel pretty stupid but I'm just not familiar with resin. Lol. Thank u again!
The resin i use is two parts... You mix them together
This is by far the best geode I have seen! Most of them just look like huge pepto bismal colored vaginas! Lol. Yours is very realistic and beautiful! Great tutorial, just enough talking to describe what you’re doing and no outside nose distractions. Very well done!
LOL thank you so much!
Best comment EVER 🤣😂
Você é uma artista incrivelmente talentosa.parabens vou ser sua pupila. Tenho só 8o anos amo muito pintar
Fab tutorial ..how much would you sell these for please?...
more, or less, than a natural geode?
Thank you, I sold this one for $75

Can we make coasters like this?..and can i place a hot soup bowl on that coaster ??
Yes you can! But depends on the resin you use and the heat resistance... this is the best heat resistant up to 475

Ok thanks a lot .
Are the crystals glass or plastic? Were they expensive? Love this!
they are real quartz crystals, they are not expensive I got them on ebay! Thank you

The links to all the items i used are in the description box
😍😍😍
What kind plastic paper undergeode?
plastic shower curtain from the dollar store
Beautiful! I must agree with the ones that said you can't hear you. The music is too loud and very distracting!
Thank you but there is no music playing in the background... This is only my 8th tutorial they get better as i go.....:)
ha, ha... what music.. you must have your radio on too loud.... this is one of the best I have seen... thank you
I don’t hear any background noise 🤷🏼♀️😂😂 you do great girl!
where can i get the confetti??
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BCWBB2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B001BCWBB2&linkCode=as2&tag=paintingsfr0e-20&linkId=4f199d673d48a74eeff16df1a905d06b
It would be really helpful to spray paint the background while, especially with the translucent colors, hard to see on the dark cardboard... Just my 2 cents.... Love your work though
great idea thank you
Does it break by hand
no it does not, its very strong
Beautiful! Those crystals look like sharks teeth.lol
they do a bit lol... Watch out it bite :)
👍💖💖💖
please mention crystal link or send me thanks
I got them on ebay, just look up small quartz crystals
It would be helpful if there were captions. I can’t hear you even with my volume all the way up
sorry about that... im not sure how to add them i will look into it
I was under the understanding that you had to sand cured resin to create a tooth for wet resin epoxy to adhere to cured piece. You did not do this, why? It's a beautiful piece but I'm getting confused by the not sanding part
i only sand if they is an imperfection... you do not have to sand every time you do a layer
Please tell me you were wearing a respirator when you did the sanding. It is highly toxic and can give you terrible breathing problems. Not kidding one bit. And I want you to be able to continue making such pretty art
Thank you yes I wear my respirator
Why not pour the resin thick so it can be sanded down and be polished with buffer the surface should be level to the highest feture so it looks like cut geode this looks super fake.
Because it was the first one I ever did... Wasnt going for super realistic was going for fun
I can't hear you, need more audio, love your work but you speak too softly.
I will definitely work on that thanks for watching
