This video is so helpful, I am in the UK, going to use a Co-wheels MG4 car, and I have never droven one before, was a bit nervous, now I have some idea how is works and i feel a bit more confidence to drive it, thank you very much Jerry!

Jerry your videos are of amazing help. We have had our Trophy (UK), for a month now. Really pleased with it. One question. As you say, if you take your foot off the gas the accelerator, the vehicle slows down, particularly in one pedal mode. Do the brake lights come on to indicate to a vehicle behind you that the car is slowing down?
Thanks for the comment and support. Yes the brake lights will come on when the vehicle is using regen brake including one-pedal.
perfect Jerry! not too much talking. I really needed this today as after two days with my MG4, I am getting used to all the settings. One thing I am wondering is: which setting (if any) will have the car stop in traffic and then go again? For example: with One Pedal on, at a traffic light the car stops but does not start again when the car in front goes until I press the accelerator.

It only automatically resumes under ACC / TJA if you use the MG Pilot features. Under One Pedal mode, you need to control the driving on your own.

Hi Jerry. Thanks for the great videos. Does the MG4 have over the air updates? If not does MG have a support page showing what the latest versions are and what has changed in each version?
They don't tell you the latest version. Most people will not need to do every update as updates will mostly only be minor bug-fixing. The MG4 over the air update thingy is still not straight answer as far as I know.
Thanks Jerry! My 51 doesn’t have OPD and is on the latest software (R05), my dealer has no idea what I’m even talking about!
Now it is time for them to do a proper update for it :D
OPD is only available on Model Year 2023 cars. If your car doesn't have a rear wiper it is an Model Year 2022 and will not have OPD
Thank you for the video. One question though. How come one pedal driving mode is set to off when you start the car. How can I make it persist?
As mentioned, it stays off when it restart. Not much I can do.
Can you explain the SOS on top of the ceiling of the MG4?
It’s not available in NZ. I assume you press and hold the button to call emergency
Question: when I do preferred settings on Custom mode, my mg4 only keeps it for that current drive. Once I turn off and get back in, I have to redo those preferences on custom mode. Does it not save these settings??
No, it doesn’t.
"Does the MG4 coast when the brake pedal is released? Does regenerative braking only activate when the brake pedal is pressed? Other way is neutral ?
Regen brake will activate once you release the accelerator & the brake force is changeable between low to high to adaptive.
Why does the MG ZS EV not carry the Hill Descent button?. Why is that switch blanked off in the MG ZS EV?. Thanks

I just got my mg4. I have an issue.
The car drives itself in reverse and drive without pressing the pedal.
How do I turn that off ?
Check with the dealer.
I find I cannot release the parking brake without pressing the black "P" button with my foot on the footbrake. How come he says you don't need to touch that button at all?
All MG EVs are like that. Handbrake gets released automatically.
Are all your doors closed?
What is the default setting for auto hold
For NZ & AU version, it will memorise whatever you set last time.

drive mode and regen braking? no they don't stay on how you set.
but next time you turn on the car, it has fogotten what tit was set to. its wired like it has a default each time that called "Normal" and "regen 3", but why i want my MG4 to boot up in "ECO" with adaptic regen activ. its so stupied it dosnt remember..
Please note that this is just a tutorial not a review or judgement for any feature in this vehicle. I cannot change it even if the feature feels stupid for some people.

It has a lot more than B mode in the energy recovery section.
