Fantastic video series Jerry, as a new MG4 Essence owner I have found these very useful for all feature on the car! Keep up the good work...! I do have one issue I am hoping you can help with, under the Vehicle menu > Settings > System > Upgrade > Detect New Versions > the error warning states "Your car not registered, please contact after sales for more information".
Hoping you will have come across this issue before and can point me in the right direction.

The system update is yet to be finalized by MG as far as I know. We have to wait and see how this goes. At this stage, don't worry about the update.

Dose the Greeting Switch read out my custom message or just display on screen ?
With the hotspot function, where does it come from dose it cost to use it ?

Thanks for the comment. The greetings read out your message. Hotspot is not for internet connection. It is for people in the car to connect to each other for games or something
Great video as always Jerry. You mentioned online updates are available in NZ and Australia. Is this confirmed? I tried updating a about a week ago and it said something about not being registered.
I have the same issue but assume they may wait for the first car service visit to allow OTA updates seeing these are new to Australia
No confirmation on how it is updated at this stage. I will post it on the channel if I find out later
Hi Jerry, thank you for another great video. Under convenience - I like to have the doors lock automatically - does the automatic door lock stay activated when you turn the car off/on? do you need to set it everytime you get into the car?
Thanks for the comment. You don't need to set it every time. Once you drive off to 15km/h, it will lock.
Hi Jerry. I have added some favorites so I do not have to go through the entire list of al avaiable channels when using the right joystick. But if I start the car, the joystick only switches between all available channels. Is there a setting I need to use to default the radio to the favorites?
Not sure. I thought the joystick only go through the station list not favorites.
Hello Jerry, I saw all you videos about the MG4, Is the One pedal mode present on all the models?
I ordered the MG4 luxury.
It is available for all MG4 in NZ & AU but do check this with your dealer.
Hey Jerry.. me again as I go through your whole library 😅 Is the data limit imposed for the hotspot documented anywhere? Likewise for the "Online Entertainment switch" ?
I actually don't know if there is a limit or not. At some stage, MG NZ told me there is no limit. You will need to pay yearly subscription fee from the second year.
Do all MG4 variants have sim card build in? For weather en traffic info. Or just on Essence? On 26:53 so there is OTA upgrades for the car (only Essence)?
All MG4 in NZ & AU have sim card. Weather info is only for Essence. No news for OTA updates just yet.

work in a no mobile coverage area for the inbuilt sim?
Yes, that’s correct. It relies on GPS.
Hi Jerry is it possible to move the main screen tiles to different positions.
Not possible
Hi Jerry, did you manage to set the time correctly? When I select Wellington as the time zone it shows as GMT+0 instead of GMT+12.
Search for SUVA at this stage until MG fix it.
@@JerryPanandCars Thanks, I found the same solution although I’m still an hour out even setting DST (daylight saving time).
@@craybro That might be SUVA doesn't have DST or setup. You have to adjust it manually.
Hi jerry, my navigation system showing only black or no data. Do you know how to activate?
Settings, activation, or settings, private notice. Otherwise you will need to see the MG workshop

Yes for NZ & AU version

I have a Quistion, WHY will the Car not remember the last used seeting.. I want my car to start default in "ECO" and "adpativ regen", why will the car go back to "NORMAL" and regen level 3. next time the car is used. its so stupied.
