    Great review. Very lucky to be in the position to own a GT, but have to agree (having also read your review, fantastic webpage by the way) that we’re currently at the mercy of a woeful public charging network. The likes of Gridserve and Fastned are doing great things to improve the situation. For me, I’m lucky in that I can charge from a Hypervolt EV wall box at home for 95% of my journeys.
    As a car though, it’s an astonishing vehicle, thoroughly capable and (800 miles into ownership) has made the jump across from a B9 S4 a very smooth transition. We just need the UK’s charging network to catch up now.
    Just a heads up that currently, I don’t think you can spec the car without the annoying piano black on the centre console or trim around the MMI. You can change the inlays to ‘carbon’ or there’s a wooden finish, but sadly the piano black can’t be changed out at the minute. There is a screen protector you can get from the states for the MMI to avoid annoying finger marks, linked below and with no affiliation and I believe there are PPF kits for the centre console. Audi’s solution? They provide a microfibre cloth to clean the finger marks (so clearly they know it’s an issue 🙈).

    Great review. Not sure why someone trying to find a way to open the hood would get in the passenger side first?

      Admittedly, this was partially John's fault with some misleading guidance.

      For the same reason a Ford Focus has the bonnet release on the passenger side footwell. The car is designed for the European market and manufacturers can’t be arsed changing the position of the release lever. The cameraman going to the passenger side is a valid strategy, although I think the main reason he went there was to look at the owners manual.

    If you press the break it starts the car, I agree it seems unsafe

    Petrol head but doesn’t go to the driver side where all the controls are………

      Hood release on some cars including Range Rovers are in the passenger side over here which might differ if your wheel is on the other side being state side. The segment was based on that it wasn't in an obvious place. Obvious being where all the drivers controls are.

      We tested this with a few people in the office too and almost everyone did the same. Especially having got in and out of the drivers seat a few times (because I can't be seen on the sill) so people assume it must be on the other side.
