Shout- out to Audi Uk press team. Continue to work with Stef to produce more content. I admire audi for giving you the base etron gt. Its nice to see a review with a base car. Too often you guys get given the all singing all dancing top of the range RS car in vorsprung trim with all the options ticked to review. And I understand it. The manufacturers are trying to showcase the halo car in its pinnacle form. But what do you get if you just walk in and go i want ' an etron gt' thats it. And the answer here is plenty. MORE THAN ENOUGH. Dont feel short changed or longing for more. Great video.

Hi, great review! The range is not great, but it's mostly a state of mind. After owning two electric cars for nearly a year, you get used to it. I would love an RS7 and have had a GT for a few weeks, which gave me a taste of that kind of power (As I usually drive an E tron Launch Edition), but the GT was less fun than an RS7. I'm lucky enough to be able to afford an RS7 or RS6 and insure it, but the daily fuel cost would be a killer. That's where the GT bridges the gap, as it feels like a great place to be, and the acceleration makes you smile from ear to ear. Home charging is excellent, and my local Tesla charger is 41p per kW, so a top-up is positive. If the GT did its claimed 303, it would be good; I got the one I borrowed to get to the 250-mile range, which was much more liveable. The GT looks like a tremendous second-hand purchase, but like the E tron depreciation, it is a bitter pill to swallow. Keep up the great work, great to see you channel growing.

You missed a huge difference between the base and the RS or higher trims which is the 4 wheel steering.. Really wondering how big of a difference that makes and if it's worth it.

i have driven both and I have to agree with just about everything you said....but have to say that is a very stock looking etron gt. When i bought mine I looked at a number of them and did not see one that stripped down... IMO, the etron GT is the better option with a nice package...like the Prestige. My car in reality looks much more like the RS Etron in this video on both the interior and exterior. The Prestige package was about 20K cheaper than the RS models, more or less.
    Again, great thorough review.

In practice the difference is much less than the WLTP indicates.
On the motorway, the difference between a model 3 and the audi is maybe 325km on the audi and 400km on the tesla. Is 400 more? yes, but 325 will take you about 3 hours before you need to charge, which is plenty.
I swapped my tesla model 3 (2022, ryzen etc), for an e-tron GT. The driving experience and handling of the Audi is so much better, sorry to say but you are so wrong about it being "near its limit really fast", it can do corners so much faster than a tesla model 3 it's not even funny, it turns so much better in general, it's just a much more agile car - despite being significantly bigger.
The points made on costs will vary from location to location, and sure it's (a lot) more expensive when you use HPCs, not as expensive as you make it out to be, but more expensive, but the percentage of times that you will be charging on an HPC is fairly low, keeping the total costs ...low.

I have ordered exactly this E-Tron GT. Almost only with "basic equipment" with a few assistance systems, same colour & rims.
If I compare the same configuration with the RS, that's just under 36,000 euros (£31,700) difference (without adaptive air suspension) to the RS price.
For me it was just too expensive then, so I'm very happy with the normal "basic" GT without much extras.
