FINALLY... A True DETAILED and explained "How to change your air filter" Other videos show the change, and Yes, I KNOW How Difficult the change can be, but during other "how to" videos they are Edited and then, like Magic the re-insert either has been done (not videod) or you see the last final push and you miss in seeing the real effort you use to change it... Yours Does NOT, THANK YOU🙌!!
THANK YOU for the clear, detailed instructions and the grest video quality. This needs to be the first video to pop up in the results list for any search related to a Ford focus cabin filter. Wish I had found this video a month ago. At least I can change my filter now, thanks to this video. 🙌
I love you close to the end you just play some random rock music and casually mention the very hot coolant hoses that run to the heater core. That was funny.
I would hope they have everything mirrored on right have drive cars. Check the passenger side foot panel and see if it appears to be the same steps as this one but just flip flopped!
If you have a preferred scent you like. Not necessary though. Also don’t completely soak the filter with too much spray because the filter will become wet and get moldy.
@@TonyTheTruckGuy cool deal. Yeah was just making sure there wouldn't be no remnants of dust, etc that might've got left behind that the old filter didn't pick up.
You're lucky that you have it so easy. I've a set of taped up cables running in front of the air filter cover so now I'm struggling to get the filter past the cables. My main issue is that there is a single thin cable running to the dashboard but this has been taped to the main cluster and I don't feel too confident about separating the tape to disconnect the dashboard cable.
If you mean disconnecting those 2 big connectors, then that might help slightly, but unfortunately the top of the filter also hits on something 😂 just a little annoying is all
@@TonyTheTruckGuy I just changed my filter, and indeed unplugging those connectors made it significantly easier. They just swing out of the way, allowing the filter to line up much better with the slot.
Before you start you need to have a #5 torx screwdriver. If you’re going to remove the glove box too you’ll need a #20 as well. Other videos I’ve watched on this subject start with removing the glove box to open up the area. To do that you have to remove a flat piece from the end of the dash then remove five screws. You have to kind of pop the compartment loose but it slides right out once you do. It does make it easier to see things with the glove box removed but no less difficult to do. Getting the filter out is easy since you can just grip it and rip it but putting the new one in without damaging it is nearly impossible. Before you put the new one in give it a squeeze and watch it spring back-it will give you an idea of how far you can bend and squish it to get it in. If you’re buying one on Amazon spring for one with activated charcoal. It’s only a buck or two more and it does help control odors.
That’s what I was tempted to do, it the little voice in the back of my head said “that cover is going to rattle and drive you nuts if you don’t put that screw back in” 😂

Exactly haha. I try to make it more realistic. Thanks for the feedback!
Right on, now I know I have to clear my schedule and put on my rage-proof overalls before I undertake this simple (ahem) procedure.
Best video on the tube regarding replacing this filter, imo. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! Glad I could help!

Omg --- THE DETAILS AND HELPFUL TIPS!!! 😍🥰😍🥰
Very good instructions. I was able to change the filter thanks to your video. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
So if its right hand drive, does that mean you'd have to do it wth the pedals in the way ?

omg why did ford literally make changing everything on this car model soo freaking difficult? 🤦🏽♂️
@@evergIow So you take it to them haha
Great video ! Would you also recommend to spray some canned air inside where the filter is housed before putting in the new one ?

It's just tape, you can do it haha.
"Are you too good for your home??" 😂😂
Hi , I have a message tire pressure module for my ford focus 2015 1.5 L echo boost .. do you any suggestions…?
@@AmrYoussef-s5o You would need to good up a scan tool and see what code it is throwing to begin any kind of diagnostics.
Can't those two adjacent cables be unplugged from the fuse panel in order to make more room to get the new filter in?

@@douglasskaalrud6865 Thanks for the details, Douglas.
When you put the new filter in discard that screw. You dont need it. The plastic tabs will hold the cover in place.

@@TonyTheTruckGuy i mist have lost the screw or opted not to put it in a few years ago.
No rattle.
