Thanks for your video. @RaitisRides, because of your caution about the "dark abyss" I tore the flap off of the filter box. Made an "L" shape out of the two existing folds and placed the short fold (bottom of the "L") under the plastic side panel and the longer part of the fold against the floor. If the screw did drop, it'd fall along the cardboard channel I made and I'd be able to easily retrieve it. My tools are not magnetized. Also, for everyone else, learn from my mistake. It took me a minute or two trying to get the cabin air filter's cover/lid to snap back into place before I finally realized I had the cover on backwards, not upside down, but backwards. lol Joe you've got a new subscriber.
I bought a used 2014 ST and after a couple days I noticed the car smelled real bad. Someone mentioned changing the cabin filter. That thing was so nasty and black. But after replacing it the smell went away and I could now enjoy the car. Didn’t know how much of a difference these made
My ST just hit 25k miles and i was thinking a need to replace the cabin filter. I searched for the placement of the filter and loe and behold Mr. Raiti had a how to video!!
Awesome how-to video joe! Cool to see how to do this on a focus. Seems to be tucked away pretty far. Love how you explain this, don’t lose the screw in the dark abyss! Lol
Great video man, Did mine not long ago it was packed full of dust lol. Damn Australian dust clouds, when it rains there is more dirt than water hahaha.
Great video Joe... I was looking for this video not too kind ago - perfect timing. What’s you opinion, complicated? You do a great job, thanks for this!

Thanks for the video, I bought my Air Filter a few weeks ago and have been to lazy to replace it. With your video I feel confident.

It's crazy how big of a difference this makes. So overlooked so many times. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Great video Joe, I need to do this on my car and it helps to see that you can indeed do it yourself. Love your one liners! Nice job
Lori Givens make sure you find out where it’s located. Every car had it in a different place.

❤love your video’s mate wonderful job from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺.
Hard part was seeing up in there. But overall access to the filter door was easier than others
Not as easy as a Subaru WRX STI.
Yea but who really drives those around here
Joe, you always make your video interesting and funny. Keep it up!
Kogie Kobayashi thanks I really appreciate the compliment! I promise the keep the good content coming! 😊👍🏻

Hi Lori!
Great video Joe... I was looking for this video not too kind ago - perfect timing. What’s you opinion, complicated? You do a great job, thanks for this!
Thank you nice job
Hello Joe. I am going to order my new cabin air filter right now and install it myself. It does not look that tough at all. Thanks for the video!
Hi Philip! It's a breeze! I appreciate you always giving me great feedback and inspiration!
Youll save money doing it yourself cause they wanted 80 bucks to change it out im like nah i bought filter n did it myself no way was i giving them 80bucks to do a simple job
this dude likes to hear himself talk. thanks for the video either way...
Would like to have seen you stuff that filter in there. I'm guessing that is the hard part.
Of course Guy.
Thanks, Bravo.
Who ever designed the placement for the airfilter deserves jail time i thought i was gonna rip it to Shreds before i got it in there
My goodness why would Ford do it so convoluted. Just copy the Japanese and put it behind the glove box.
You would think that would be the way to go. I am sure the next generation Focus will have it there.
@@RaitisRides Umm, what next generation Focus? :-)
Jason Photography the new generation that came out in Europe.
Don't use a screwdriver. You'll strip it then you'll be screwed.
Hah - I get it!
That was probably unintentional too!
JoshJLMG Productions the best ones are unintentional.😂
I appreciate you watching!
Raiti's Rides Haha yup - except for mine! Anyways, ya, no problem man!
JoshJLMG Productions I really appreciate the support!
Raiti's Rides Well you do produce high quality reviews, guides, and tips - so you deserve it!
Do all new cars have these?
jdrracer yes they do.
Where is the air intake for the cabin air?
Under the hood dan.
You could fit a dead body in the glovebox. I guess that made too much sense to put it in there.
How to starts at 3:55
Thanks for your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
Mine fell.....lol Had to get a new one.
Angelo Gonzalez I remember when cars didn’t even have cabin air filters.
That was when one stuck his head out the window for air.
Angelo Gonzalez remember quarter vent windows you could open to draw air in? 😂
Dude your old!..............................................lol
Angelo Gonzalez there are some days I really feel it. 😂
