They 100% planned this considering Norse mythology is all about cycles and repeating events. And even with what you said, Norse mythology can be divided by the prose Edda and of course the Poetic Edda meaning a lot of the stories actually come from poetry.
A thought about Love: Whenever she first appeared, her appearance in the water reflected that of a being made of stars. That reminded me of a Marvel character called Singularity, who I know is a new-ish character who appeared in the A-Force books.

The Star Brand has a fun caveat though: The user doesn't have access to that limitless power at will. The Star Brand only ever makes them just strong enough to overcome their opponent. While a user would be on the cosmic scale when fighting Celestials or the likes, when faced with some Hawkeye, they're at most somewhere around peak human.
For some reason I feel like the Star Brand will be used for something less important and small scale, such as to explain how a certain Squirrel Girl can beat Thanos lol

I think they may have overlooked it because the character of "Mistress Love" doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do with the new character. Their powers/abilities are notably different (Mistress Love can manipulate emotions and the only power we've seen from the kid is a laser blast) and Mistress Love is an "Abstract Entity" as old as existence itself, whereas the kid "Love" is very clearly supposed to be the resurrected spirit of a dead girl who is only now infused with some kind of cosmic power. These characters don't really have anything in common other than a connection to Eternity and the name
My guess was that Eternity transformed into Love, granting Gorr's wish but not entirely. Simply because of the first time we see her is a reflection of Love's silhouette looking similar to Eternity.
Based off of her cosmic reflection when she was first created I think she might turn into a character known as Singularity. She’s a v powerful younger character who goes on to be a member of the A-Force during secret wars. This could play into the whole star brand thing but I definitely think she fits the bill for Singularity

In one of the comics Gore actually has a child with the exact same backstory as the daughter. I mean he's a dude but that's like the only difference I'm surprised matpat didn't know it.

No I think this is a little different… two characters both live action being made by the same company is a bit confusing, which is different than there being past iterations. I mean there’s tons of Hercules’s already. I get what you’re saying though
The difference is that they’d be in two franchises under the same company. Those examples you give of Batman and the Spider-Man’s are all technically variations of the rights bought under certain companies. And even with spider man Marvel worked with Sony to make it canon that their alternate universe variations. So who is to say Disney won’t make the Live action Hercules the same way? 🤷🏻♀️

I understood that it was setting up the next phase and the future overarching villan of the next fue phases what I meant was that it seems like they are setting up a team for after the end of the next overarching villan as if we take the years that it has taken to finish the infinity saga that means that the child actors set up now will be teens at the end of the next overarching villan and then they have set up a new team. TL:DR I think that marvel have a team set up for the end of the new avengers.
There's another potential character from the comics that wasn't mentioned who also resembled love, that being singularity. when she showed up in the movie, her reflection was that of a young cosmic girl which highly resembled the look of singularity from the comics. singularity has the ability to rewrite reality on a cosmic level, which introduced captain hydra a few years ago in the comics. It would be insane if she is what resets the multiverse at the end of secret wars in the MCU
I agree. When I first saw her reflection, I thought that she was supposed to be Singularity, and I honestly still think that she’s Singularity. Or will become Singularity in the future.
What about singularity? In the reflection in the water she looks exactly like her with the same flowing hair. Not to mention the cosmic abilities. She also has teleporting abilities and relations to the multiverse which really fits the theme of Phase 4. Singularity is also young in the comics fitting the new avengers theme (America, Ms. Marvel, etc.)
Spoilers When Love was first reborn, her reflection (in the water) is very similar to a comic character named "Singularity" from the "A-Force" title. Story wise there's nothing that I know resembles what it is in the movie but her design and powers are pretty similar.
I was thinking Gorr's daughter when she's brought back could be the actual entity Love (Mistress Love) from the comics and that's why they call he Love in the movie. Not that she's going have the same "powers" Ms. Marvel has already laid the ground work for having different power sets for characters.
I think Gorr wished nothing bad will ever happen to his daughter again when she gets revived, so she now has super powers that will protect her no matter what.

She is basically a cosmic force like Lady Death, Eon, The Living Tribunal, The Watchers, The One Above All (basically the king of the celestials), Infinity, and ETERNITY. She is just on a lower tire than those whom we saw as statues in the gate to Eternity

It's worth mentioning there is also a character in the comics named Love, with a connection to Eternity. She's one of the abstract entities-- like Eternity, Death, Infinity, and Oblivion, but not quite as powerful. She's more Eon-level of power. However, she typically appears in a couplet alongside Hate. It's not unusual for MCU to drastically alter characters though, so it's entirely possible they're using Love as a vague inspiration for a character destined to become an abstract being or something like that. Alternative theory: Kobik. Surprised this one wasn't in the video, actually. In the comics, Kobik is a Cosmic Cube that's grown sentience and takes the form of a small female child. Probably most famous for returning Captain America's youth (and making him HYDRA in the process, thanks to some meddling by Red Skull). Now in MCU, Cosmic Cube has been kinda adapted but with very different rules and was even renamed the Tesseract, so it wouldn't really make sense for the Tesseract to birth Kobik. But a child born from Eternity, who in the MCU is specifically used as an unlimited power that grants wishes? Yeah, that sounds like Kobik...
What I took from the ending of the movie is a memory from a character introduced in the comic A-Force called Singularity, who is a cosmic level being that even has the same appearance as “Love”’s reflected cosmic appearance.
Noticed you didn't bring up Kobik, a little girl personification of THE Cosmic Cube (apparently not the first time a cosmic cube has done so with the name Kubik previously). However something else you overlooked is that Love being the child of Eternity may be a Protector as well. One that has powers of Enigmatic Force... What I'm getting at is Love could be a version of Captain Universe.
I'm gonna say this I really liked Gor as a villain, also since eternity showed up I'm now curious if they'll bring the one above all into the series, it would be interesting and I personally would be fine with it as long as he doesn't do much like in marvel since he is "god" and doesn't intervene much since only a handful of people are even aware of its existence (I'm pretty sure spider man is one of them)

Ima be honest, the story was a bit wonky but taika was trying a lot of new stuff and it felt very unique like ragnarok and I hope he will do more stuff in the mcu! It was really fun to watch though

In norse mythology odin whispered something into the dead baldur's ear and it is never said what it is he said, and my mythology packed brain saw a parallel when jane whispered something we didint hear into thor's ear. Gorr had a daughter and wife at the beginning of his arch. They died due to famine. They were sort of resurrected via the symbiote then his daughter melted away when she became aware.
I am a huge fan of The Star Brand. I did not know they brought it into 616 for a second time. I thought that the Collecter had isolated it when that dimentions Earth had been brought into the main time line. There was a big cross over event called "Starblazers" centering around Wendel Vaughn aka Quasar. Thank you for telling people about one of my favorite comic book concepts. I just want to say, I know that this isn't exactly greek mythology, but Herakules wasn't actually a big god, he gaurded the Rock of Gibraltar and was kinda left there after becoming a god, though he was the god of strength and heroes.

I am going to do this every time somebody calls Hercules a Greek hero. He is Roman, not Greek. The Greek version is Heracles. I know it makes no difference to the video as a whole, and they are effectively the same character, but it's a nitpicky thing that always bugs me.

Oh my goodness, thank you. I was so happy to see Heracles in the film but when they used his Roman name I just got so annoyed, especially since they seem to be teasing him to be a new big bad, I really feel like they should’ve gotten his name right. I do wonder whether they knew his Greek name and just went with the Roman one as it’s more well known, or if they just couldn’t be bothered doing research.

One thing I really liked in the movie was just spotting two cool looking Celestials just chilling in Omnipotence City. For me it really helped bring things together. Made me realize how big the MCUs universe is. Everything interconnects.
I'm surprised you didn't mention that it's actually Heracles in Greek, but we know him by the Roman name, in large part thanks to the animated Disney movie. So I guess it's not a surprise that the new Disney movie also called him Hercules, even though it was freaking ZEUS himself who was calling his son. If ANYBODY was going to get it right, it should've been him.
This is definitely a fun thing to explore in the future for the MCU. Herc's intro to the universe was absolutely perfect. I was expecting him... But I just didn't know when so that is going to be fun.
With the characters of Eternity and Infinity being thrown in the MCU now, their connection to Galactus could be the gateway to that character. However, the scene in which Love's reflection can be seen has a shocking similarity in appearance to the Marvel character of Singularity. This character is depicted as a young girl in the comics and even seems as if it could be connected to the Multiverse of Madness film given her comic book origins
With morgan stark also existing Marvel clearly has very long term plans for the Avengers. With amadeus cho as a future hulk and peter parker a mentor to the team

FILM THEORY IDEA: did Aladdin make the wrong choice freeing the genie? When you think about it, even if a genie is free, they have ultimate power, which they could easily use for anything, even say? World domination? So maybe the genies SHOULD stay prisoners? If say jafars genie was set free he would most definitely not be as humble as to simply just travel the world like genie.
I'd suggest you try reading some of the mythology regarding jinn and ifrit-- my favorite is actually about one that takes the form of a chimp who goes diving for pearls but is super sketch. Basically, according to mythology, yeah, you should probably keep most of them imprisoned because they're not always good. (Just thought you'd find it cool that the existing mythology really lends credence to your theorizing, I always find that exciting!)
While my theory love goes to the Star-Brand idea, the Disney crossover idea could really go the distance, and while I'm not saying I'm in love with another live-action remake of a classic animated film, if they pull this off Disney's rep could go from zero to hero for a lot of people.
Yes but that's been outside of Disney and usually smaller stuff. The only time they got involved with Disney is for Marvel stuff. So why return to Disney and specifically that project. You missed one; Singularity. Rewatch the movie and look at Love's reflection when she is brought back to life. That is 100% a one-to-one live action recreation of the fairly new Marvel character Singularity.

When I was young and I was seeing the original avengers I always thought "wow like 6 or 7 superheros coming together ought to save the world from a lot..." every time they added another one after that I thought it was insane and now I can't even keep track of all of them and adding another one it like "eh, do they also have infinite power or whatever? Sure isn't gonna save them from everything. They need teamwork and love or something." Crazy how far superheros have come to basically being simultaneously an anime with children's show morals and that making sense to adults that don't watch anime or childrens shows.
When I first saw the movie and saw the wish at the end with eternal, I thought "what if someone close to iron man who if they could, would wish to bring him back to life, got the wish, he could be reintroduced to the mcu" they could use that as a way to bring him back

I feel like the post credit scene was also a bit of a meta commentary on the movie itself because the whole time I was watching the movie all I could think of was how much more silly it was than previous movies and how some fans might think of it as a disappointment, especially because it was the first 4th sequel to a solo movie in the mcu.
I COMPLETELY forgot that Stormbreaker's handle was Groot's arm. It explains the sentience and actual emotion it seemed to show during the movie

I think they may have overlooked it because the character of "Mistress Love" doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do with the new character. Their powers/abilities are notably different (Mistress Love can manipulate emotions and the only power we've seen from the kid is a laser blast) and Mistress Love is an "Abstract Entity" as old as existence itself, whereas the kid "Love" is very clearly supposed to be the resurrected spirit of a dead girl who is only now infused with some kind of cosmic power. These characters don't really have anything in common other than a connection to Eternity and the name
My guess was that Eternity transformed into Love, granting Gorr's wish but not entirely. Simply because of the first time we see her is a reflection of Love's silhouette looking similar to Eternity.

Based off of her cosmic reflection when she was first created I think she might turn into a character known as Singularity. She’s a v powerful younger character who goes on to be a member of the A-Force during secret wars. This could play into the whole star brand thing but I definitely think she fits the bill for Singularity

The difference is that they’d be in two franchises under the same company. Those examples you give of Batman and the Spider-Man’s are all technically variations of the rights bought under certain companies. And even with spider man Marvel worked with Sony to make it canon that their alternate universe variations. So who is to say Disney won’t make the Live action Hercules the same way? 🤷🏻♀️

What about singularity? In the reflection in the water she looks exactly like her with the same flowing hair. Not to mention the cosmic abilities. She also has teleporting abilities and relations to the multiverse which really fits the theme of Phase 4. Singularity is also young in the comics fitting the new avengers theme (America, Ms. Marvel, etc.)

When Love was first reborn, her reflection (in the water) is very similar to a comic character named "Singularity" from the "A-Force" title. Story wise there's nothing that I know resembles what it is in the movie but her design and powers are pretty similar.

I was thinking Gorr's daughter when she's brought back could be the actual entity Love (Mistress Love) from the comics and that's why they call he Love in the movie. Not that she's going have the same "powers" Ms. Marvel has already laid the ground work for having different power sets for characters.
I think Gorr wished nothing bad will ever happen to his daughter again when she gets revived, so she now has super powers that will protect her no matter what.

She is basically a cosmic force like Lady Death, Eon, The Living Tribunal, The Watchers, The One Above All (basically the king of the celestials), Infinity, and ETERNITY. She is just on a lower tire than those whom we saw as statues in the gate to Eternity

It's worth mentioning there is also a character in the comics named Love, with a connection to Eternity. She's one of the abstract entities-- like Eternity, Death, Infinity, and Oblivion, but not quite as powerful. She's more Eon-level of power. However, she typically appears in a couplet alongside Hate. It's not unusual for MCU to drastically alter characters though, so it's entirely possible they're using Love as a vague inspiration for a character destined to become an abstract being or something like that.
Alternative theory: Kobik. Surprised this one wasn't in the video, actually. In the comics, Kobik is a Cosmic Cube that's grown sentience and takes the form of a small female child. Probably most famous for returning Captain America's youth (and making him HYDRA in the process, thanks to some meddling by Red Skull). Now in MCU, Cosmic Cube has been kinda adapted but with very different rules and was even renamed the Tesseract, so it wouldn't really make sense for the Tesseract to birth Kobik. But a child born from Eternity, who in the MCU is specifically used as an unlimited power that grants wishes? Yeah, that sounds like Kobik...

What I took from the ending of the movie is a memory from a character introduced in the comic A-Force called Singularity, who is a cosmic level being that even has the same appearance as “Love”’s reflected cosmic appearance.
Noticed you didn't bring up Kobik, a little girl personification of THE Cosmic Cube (apparently not the first time a cosmic cube has done so with the name Kubik previously).
However something else you overlooked is that Love being the child of Eternity may be a Protector as well. One that has powers of Enigmatic Force...
What I'm getting at is Love could be a version of Captain Universe.
Also, Deadpool has a bit of personal history with Kubik as well.
I'm gonna say this I really liked Gor as a villain, also since eternity showed up I'm now curious if they'll bring the one above all into the series, it would be interesting and I personally would be fine with it as long as he doesn't do much like in marvel since he is "god" and doesn't intervene much since only a handful of people are even aware of its existence (I'm pretty sure spider man is one of them)

I am a huge fan of The Star Brand. I did not know they brought it into 616 for a second time. I thought that the Collecter had isolated it when that dimentions Earth had been brought into the main time line. I am going to do this every time somebody calls Hercules a Greek hero. He is Roman, not Greek. The Greek version is Heracles. I know it makes no difference to the video as a whole, and they are effectively the same character, but it's a nitpicky thing that always bugs me.

I was so happy to see Heracles in the film but when they used his Roman name I just got so annoyed, especially since they seem to be teasing him to be a new big bad, I really feel like they should’ve gotten his name right. I do wonder whether they knew his Greek name and just went with the Roman one as it’s more well known, or if they just couldn’t be bothered doing research.

One thing I really liked in the movie was just spotting two cool looking Celestials just chilling in Omnipotence City. For me it really helped bring things together. Made me realize how big the MCUs universe is. Everything interconnects.

With the characters of Eternity and Infinity being thrown in the MCU now, their connection to Galactus could be the gateway to that character.
However, the scene in which Love's reflection can be seen has a shocking similarity in appearance to the Marvel character of Singularity. This character is depicted as a young girl in the comics and even seems as if it could be connected to the Multiverse of Madness film given her comic book origins

I'd suggest you try reading some of the mythology regarding jinn and ifrit-- my favorite is actually about one that takes the form of a chimp who goes diving for pearls but is super sketch. Basically, according to mythology, yeah, you should probably keep most of them imprisoned because they're not always good. (Just thought you'd find it cool that the existing mythology really lends credence to your theorizing, I always find that exciting!)

Yes but that's been outside of Disney and usually smaller stuff. The only time they got involved with Disney is for Marvel stuff. So why return to Disney and specifically that project. I don’t know why but when I went to go watch the movie and they mentioned that love was a child of eternity reminded of that character in the comics known as mistress love who is the embodiment of love and when I walked out of the movies I was thinking what a coincidence that they introduced a new character called love who has I’m guessing cosmic power that is called a child of eternity. This theory might be a stretch though
I don’t think Disney would let Marvel use their version Hercules at the same time they plan to make their version of Hercules. I love the idea of the Disney version and Marvel version being the same one. That would be amazing!

When I was young and I was seeing the original avengers I always thought "wow like 6 or 7 superheros coming together ought to save the world from a lot..." every time they added another one after that I thought it was insane and now I can't even keep track of all of them and adding another one it like "eh, do they also have infinite power or whatever? Sure isn't gonna save them from everything. They need teamwork and love or something." Crazy how far superheros have come to basically being simultaneously an anime with children's show morals and that making sense to adults that don't watch anime or childrens shows.

I feel like the post credit scene was also a bit of a meta commentary on the movie itself because the whole time I was watching the movie all I could think of was how much more silly it was than previous movies and how some fans might think of it as a disappointment, especially because it was the first 4th sequel to a solo movie in the mcu.
