The thing about that is that matter can be created nor destroyed ,so even though Thanos said he DESTROYED the stones it's still 100% possible that the matter of the infinity stone are still floating around ,but only in concept.....maybe
Well, he did say they were "reduced to atoms." So, theoretically, you could pull the atoms together to recreate the stones.
The problem is, even by Marvel standards, that's ridiculously impossible and impractical.

Watching this now, a year later, you know how accurate matpat's assumption about the MCU's ambition was! Look at Spiderman No Way Home now. For those who watched it, you know it topped End Game! Marvel keeps beating its previous records and keeps building new storilines on its way to achieving its ambition. ALL HAIL KEVIN FEIGE! And matpat for predicting this a year or how many ever years before these movies come out. I LOVE MARVEL and I LOVE MATPAT for making these super interesting and deep theories!

Graviton could have easily been a very powerful force for good but his desire to "save the world" inevitably ended in its destruction. Its disappointing, I honestly like the idea of his character. An individual with the power to manipulate gravity.

@@Getroy RDJ didn’t do it for money he played a role for a bankrupt Dom then boom started MCU. His character arc was coming to an end along with his contract, the money paid to him rose because he became a less risky actor. Keep in mind he played the role for 10+ years too, he said he’d come back too if they had more stories to tell that would further his character arc.

@@futuramayeah By reducing them to atoms, they still exist, but cannot be used by anyone else. Since in order to use them again, one would have to collect all the atoms of the infinity stones and recombine them. Which needs the snap itself to be possible in the first place.
So in order to use the snap, they had to go to the past when the stones were still in a 'usable state'.

Thanos did not “destroy” the infinity stones he reduced them to atoms meaning the stones are actually there own element (like Ca, N, O etc) so the exist but as one or he made stones as small as the atoms. Meaning you can recreate or make them bigger again. It’s just a theory a film theory

They’re made of atoms, so technically the atoms do. So yes the atoms of the stone keep the flow of time, because without the atoms the actual stones wouldn’t exist.

The battle was the final battle in Endgame.
Nor is there "only 1 timeline." He is the new sorcerer supreme, who cannot see past their own death. He had to look into a surviving outcome that led to one he actually came back in to even know "it worked." So in other words, any character that died could've lived if an alternative winning route was taken.

I really like the idea of book theory and manga etc. However I feel like it is much harder and time consuming to do so much reading even with an audible sponsorship every episode. Comics might be easier at time but there’s also so much in a series. I just don’t want matpat to be so tired out and having to deal with so much work. No hate towards this comment, again I would really love a book theory, but I don’t want matpat to be overworked.

The “Earth 616” deal is that they specify the planet, Earth, then the Universe, 616.
Also, when Thanos destroyed the stones, he said that they where reduced to Atoms, meaning that they where still there but just waaaay smaller

Thanos didn’t “destroy” the infinity stones, he atomized them. While they aren’t able to be used by anyone they all exist.

well Thanos stated first that he "reduced them to atoms" and a few minutes later that he "used the stones to destroy the stones" so it depends on your definition of destroy. when something explodes for example, the atoms that make it up don't cease to exist, they're still somewhere in the universe (usually on earth) just in varying degrees of disassembly so as to not resemble the object they used to be part of. so again it depends on how you define "destroyed."
