- To continue my series on how I play each class I bring you, The Shadowknight. I'm not very experienced in this class, but I enjoy playing Goblyn, my troll SK. In this video I do my best to explain some spells, skills and strategies.

I believe SKs are the bast pullers in game, the really good ones can also use their pet in breaking up camps as well

Another suggestion, just trying to help. Put your spells close to your target and extended target window. As a tank you have to snap aggro and having the distance across the screen for click targeting (when hotkeys aren't used) is way too far away. Keep your character's health, party health and spell gems close so you don't have to traverse your screen if you have to make quick decisions. You won't use bandolier all that often unless you're a bard, so perhaps swap positions. Note that on your character's health window, it's showing the aggro percentage, that should be focus.
I always pull with darkness then FD, adds will walk back but named or whatever target will be snared. Do that until you seprate the group down to what you want your party to enagage. The best stratgey is to bring 1 to the group and off tank it for a minute until the mob the group is killing drops, then collect the experience while in range and drop agro to the main tank with FD again. Go pull the next one, split the camp as before and get it back in time for the last one to die. Rinse repeat. Once you master this you can grind XP. If you only have one tank (you) then it will just go slower if you have no one else to pull.
I used a tank merc while down there with my SK. With a bit of smarts was totally doable and sped up the killing a lot, and with use of FD could spread damage against my "team" out.
My suggestion, take it for what it's worth.... front load your videos with a quick overview of the spell types. Additionally, use a slightly higher level character. There are things like the auras, tank skin, advanced pet info (when you get the SK dedicated line of pets, they can hit as hard as necro / BL pets) and perhaps go into rotation / mechanics. I love your content, and it's great to watch, but there are intricacies on how to play a SK that are not covered. Reading the spells is a good thing, but there are stacking issues, strategies for mana reclamation and damage burn cycles that would make these videos more informative. Jolt is a spell used to take over aggro if someone overburns. When you first pull you'll be at 100% aggro unless you have an elixir type heal on, so go ham and use jolt to bring the attention back if you've lost it.
As a SK you need to finesse and that means really learning your class at a deeper level than spell and item descriptions. Pet pulling, swarming entire zones solo, killing mobs that would kill you with a single hit.... there's another level of SK gameplay not represented here. I've played since '99 on and off... haven't played in a while. Was interested to see what SKs are doing now but I don't think this is representative.

Always use a tank Merc up until at least 65 even into 70’s . But I’m a tank you say I need a healer WRONG no you don’t Tank mercs are in solo tank mode up into 70’s . Meaning they hold agro and tank and do not require healing by you they have ungodly Regeneration , Mitigation and Avoidance not only that but they have better dps then you on top of it. The only thing you have to do is Zone or Camp out and back in to update its level when it starts falling behind in levels, like when your Merc cons blue to you not white
Im curiois about eq again as an original player who left in GOD. My original shadowknight still exists and I even won a pvp gm event with her back in the day. So I don't want to start again but the game seens so different now.

the little window is the health of your targets target not the aggro
The window you were referencing to confirm argro increase is actually the Health of Targets Target there is a agro meter that does show your aggro % tho

You play your SK much differently than I do mine. Begging? Really? SKs hold aggro as if it came with a handle. Begging is something Warriors should be worried about. (It does work but not reliably. You have to FAIL the begging attempt several times for it to generate aggro. I remember getting killed by Lashun Novashine eons ago (1999) when I kept begging him even after he gave me a plat.). Always nice to see how others do it though.
I practice the begging skill with all my toons. It's like a dangerous addiction. LOL. I also got killed by a guard because I was begging from them, It's when I realized that begging causes ago. I was a high elf enchanter. LOL. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.
Pull with snare or voice. Spam voice, clinging darkness, and taunt. Until you gey AE hate, its all about keeping 100hate in the xtar list. Click, repeat.
