When I first saw this intro it was on the mandolorian (season 1) and I was like “oh it’s a bunch of iconic helmets from Star Wars, because of the whole mandolorian helmet being a big deal thing. That’s actually pretty clever.” And then they just used it on everything and it made no sense. Anyway, this was any entertaining rant, good job.
im letting this video be the reason i subscribe, i always thought the intro was offputting and now you made it clear to me why, EVEN THE LEGO STAR WARS GAMES DID THE CYAN TEXT THING
"How to say you’re autistic without saying you’re autistic" 101 😆. But seriously, it’s a valid critisism that I didn’t think of before but I did indeed wonder why the armorer was in the Obi-wan intro.
at first I was like nooo that ls a cool intro, and I still think it is but the more u explained the more reasonable u sounded. genuinely this is a valid argument
I agree with you for a different reason. It feels to me like I've been smacked in the frontal lobe with 200 pounds of marketing, product placement, LEGOs, and a lemon wrapped around a large, gold brick. This is coming from someone who has almost $2,000 of Star Wars merchandise on my coffee table alone.
You do care about this (and rightly so) because through it your subconsciousness feels the lack of passion, love and respect (for GL and the fanbase), which is seeping through this soulless intro as it does at so many other seams and cracks, where Disney fails to hide their emotional and inspirational void.
You're certainly not the first person I've seen critique the opening brand card; it's a perfectly valid thing to find annoying and to criticize as not truly understanding the brand or the shows/movies being presented under it.
I think the edgy shadows intro looks thematic of the year star wars was made and I like the blue and red contrast that is clear symbolism. I think it's a stretch to say it's just like the marvel one. One is impactful and thematic of film and comics and the other is minimalism of film and star wars.
TH-cam algorithm being generous for the day. That being said Star Wars has a defined look that doesn’t need it’s branding just have Lucasfilm Ltd. Done…
Your not allone. If the helmets and sabre coullors matched it would be less anoying but yeah i dont understand why they had to change it to that. Change for just change is always bad
Omg someone finally put into words that shit has always got on my nerves. My head canon has been the intro was made by the same person as the marvel intro it probably actually is but with marvel everyone kinda knew what they were doing with star wars Kathleen or whoever probably asked for the same thing but in the dumbest way possible so the artist delivered exactly what they asked for then everyone in Lucasfilm who can make or sway decisions lacks any sense of quality or attention to detail so we got that trash to serve as the perfect intro for well trash lmao.
I found and loved this channel for the Zelda stuff, but I never really subscribe to channels in general… Which is why I’m going to subscribe for the Star Warsvideo specifically.
What if I unsubscribe and then resubscribe for this video?🤔 Jokes aside though, I had never seen the intro since I'm not very familiar with modern Star Wars, but I immediately got the vibe they were trying to copy Marvel, so I think that's a valid theory... wait why did I watch this video when I'm not even really a Star Wars fan?
My school has used the star wars intro to a channel to teach “pride” and “math,” (or more stuff I can’t think about right now). Our Spanish 1 teacher played a video that talks about “School P-R-I-D-E.” The students use those stupid bitmoji things. I’ve seen them countless of times. They look creepy and weird. I don’t like them. I just cringe whenever I see someone use the Star Wars intro or Bitmoji at school AS A TEACHER to be like the kids. They’re adults. We are kids. That’s it. I’m kind of surprised how no one else has talked about the Star Wars intro thing, (they’ve talked about the bitmoji thing already). Is it just my school/previous school that has done this? The problem I have is this is when you’re teaching: Why waste your time on making an intro? Why not just get straight to the point of the video. It’s time consuming. The music sounds weird in this context and we only had like eight minutes left of school.
1:40 ..i dont get it.. that a perfectly reasonable complain .. the intro is gimmicky and soulless and treating star wars like a product ip and not a story
"Battle of Crait" cheats by switching to "TIE Fighter Attack" from episode 4 halfway through. While I do think the sequel trilogy OST does just fine in the moment, I don't actively notice most of it in the moment, and can't remember any of it after the fact. Partly because I've seen them fewer times, partly because the melodies aren't as strong.
@@brosephlacasquevtuberCrait uses like 4 different motifs, also maybe you should just give them another watch, i personally am not a music person in general but i felt no difference in quality between the ST and the other two but part of the reason you might feel different is the tonal difference between them, as well as the ST building on the OT and PT more as there was more to build on
I can remember Kylo Ren's theme just fine thank you very much. I know John Williams isn't what he used to be but he still has a few tricks up his sleeve when needed.

Broo I have despised this intro from the very beginning! I love how I am not the only one
Dude, I literally sat down to the very first episode of the Mandalorian, saw that, and was like "...ew. hope that's just a Mando thing"
It was not.
im letting this video be the reason i subscribe, i always thought the intro was offputting and now you made it clear to me why, EVEN THE LEGO STAR WARS GAMES DID THE CYAN TEXT THING
People ranting for way too long about minor things that don’t matter at all is my favorite genre of TH-cam video.
I love this Video.
I was just thinking as my wife and I watxhed the latest mando season was
“Fuck I hate the intro thing”😂
Man it's bothered me too but I never thought I'd see a video about this 😂
I know this is something that most people will not care about... But thank you for your service, this has been an annoyance to me as well.

Yet another reason to ignore new Star Wars added to the list.
And subscribed from here just to skew your algorithms.
Woke up and decided to speak facts

Aesthetically, I like that intro.
But your points are valid, I agree on many of them, I respect your opinion, & I loved this video. 🙂
no no, he has a point
I totally agree. I have been annoyed too

I 110% agree don’t worry
i don t agree with you completely but i fine it so funny how passionate about it you are.
I also dont like that intro. Star Wars isn't the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Your not allone.

I have seen a lot of my friends don't liking the intro. But it was the last thing I spected from this video. 😂😂
It just took me SO off-guard.
Hey, like we talked about in the Battle Network stream, it WAS about helmets...
...From a certain point of view.
I've also felt this exactly the same irritation!Glad someone else did too!
I HATE this intro for every reason you have said, but more than that, it’s just so BLAND and LAME!!!

this is the video that convinced me to subscribe. i'll explain why on another video from this channel. not going to say which.
W take

The lightsaber light one actually always agreed me
Late. But an excellent explanation of the current state of affairs. Low effort capitalizing purely on symbols of established elements.

I don’t know. I just like the cool helmets.
Enjoy your subscription 😈
You can’t tell me rise of the resistance and the battle of crait aren’t iconic pieces of music

Jokes on you I didn’t subscribed because of this video just now
