How to remove and install fly screens

This is how to remove and install fly screens. I will show you 2 of the most common types of fly screens and how to remove and re install them without causing any damage. They are very easy to do it yourself once you know these two different styles as most flyscreens will have the concept or procedure involved. Different types of windows will require different types of screens, after knowing how to remove them safely without causing damage you can replace the mesh with ease. I just had a quick one for ya - My fly screens are fairly similar to the second type in your video, except the frames are timber and no real channel to sit in, they just go inside the timber frame basically.
All the windows are awning.
My question is, how on earth do I get them in and out without scratching the timber? I just painted some of them and they're leaving some deep scratches sometimes...
Could this also be a paint issue? I.e. Primer not used/ suitable...

Mine are identical to those really old ones you showed last. Quick question please. I need to measure and make new frames for them, but how should I measure? Do I need to do something smaller so it'll fit in easily or do I just take measurements from the outside and try get closest to the inside Sils?

Thanks for the great video. I can't get my screen in no matter what I try. Is it possible Stegbar made the screen a few mm too big? I can get most of it in but it just gets stuck right down in the last cm of the bottom corner. Too scared to push too hard in case I ruin the window frame.

Most new houses and high rise buildings need to be all removed from the inside of the property which means the window needs to come out for access. If you ever come across it you will know how to remove them 👍

They are definitely much more difficult to remove and install, especially in high rise units where everything has to be done from the inside. 👍
