Now we are talking. Taking it back to a time when things were simple. Grab and go till the cow comes home. These are super-quality effects. The Tone Master Twin is the perfect amp for this pedal. Nice job Don!
@@TylerJohnstonGuitar check out their 20/20 lien of wahs and volume pedals. Top notch stuff. It’s unfortunate that the phrase “2020” is so unpopular haha it’s a great line of pedals and respectable pricing given the build quality, features, and that they’re made in USA.
@@thetribalist6923 I’ve been looking for a used Morley to make a video about on my channel, there’s a ton of cool history behind the brand as well. The optical aspect of the pedals is what initially got my attention.
I totally dig the Morley Wah pedals. For some reason, I have a hard time with stepping down to activate. I much prefer to step on the pedal and it is already engaged.
I'm sacrificing my last 2 months Vodka money of the year for this beauty! It's all I need. Wah - Dirt - modulation and delay (I use delay instead of reverb now anyway because no reverb = more Vodka). This is funk in a box.
Love the Concept 👌 Our Guitarist has Sold his HX Stomp and has gone back to a Hot Rod Dulux with a Boss ME-50 on the Floor 😱 ... Seriously it sounds incredible. Sure it's not a Fly rig but he'll lug that amp along for the response and lively feel of that rig 🤘
I love the form factor, but I kind of wish it was fuzz instead of distortion, and phaser or univibe instead of chorus. Maybe they'll do a "70s tones" version later.
As multi goes, this is pretty nitch being all analog and kinda cool. Just the bones, but it's some good bones with some flexibility. For the shiny nickel price an opti-vibe with rate controlled by the wah treadle would been better than the BB Chorus in my mind. GREAT Demo!
Just got mine in. It’s an amazing unit, but I’m having some volume drop when I engage the echo. I am using an EVH 5150 III EL34 & it’s setup up the way Nick mentioned. I have heard some mention having issues when engaging the FX loop on the EVH amps, but mine stays on & I only experience the volume drop when I engage the echo, not the chorus. Hopefully I get it sorted soon.
Well, I have seen it all come back around to when I got my Boss ME-5......went thru a lot of gear since then but here we are again. Welcome to 1985. (in the interim, we went thru rack gear, then a million stompboxes, then modellers - yuk)
Oh ..hey brilliant...Im floored......back in the 70s we had one pedal...wow a must for a pro...thats a real wawa...Did the hendrix tunes and incorporated the univibe...octavia ...fuzzz you know the scene..Jam on please...
It's got its pros and cons to me. Pro: four high quality analog effects at a decent price in one unit is convenient. Morley wahs are their calling card, always sound great. The distortion seems plenty versatile, full three band EQ, with separate drive and footswitch for the high gain setting is almost like having a second boost pedal. The fx loop increases the flexibility a great deal. Only needs one power supply spot. Cons: the chorus and delay, although great sounding have the most basic controls only, seems meager compared to the distortion. No flexibility in pedal effect order (dealbreaker for me as I always put modulation before dirt). And I might be misunderstanding what Don said about the switchless wah, but if it disengages when you remove your foot, then you can't use it for cocked wah sounds. For some players, none of those things will be problems, but there are a lot of options for high quality single effects pedals that would come in at a similar price, so just something to think about.
Hi, Rokam55. The sweepable pedal is just a wah pedal. If you’re needing a volume pedal you would need to add a separate one. The Morley 20/20 Volume Plus is good one to check out. @@redstrat5976 Just depends on how you want to use the volume pedal. If you wanted to be able to use it to control gain levels of the distortion section, along with volume, you would want to run the volume pedal before the AFX1. If you wanted the volume pedal to not affect the distortion at all and act as more of a master volume, you could put it in the FX Loop of the pedal. Thanks! Charlie Davis, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1320, charlie_davis@sweetwater.com
Seems like a really strange way to run the 4 cables. I was always taught to: 1 run guitar into your wah and grit pedals 2 run from output of grit pedals into front of amp 3 run fx send from back of amp to input of first modulation 4 run output of last modulation to fx return on back of the amp
In my research, it looks like the more modern fx rigs like Helix and such use the method the video described. The method I use of for using single stomp boxes.
Sounds very nice. Looks very nice. Choice of fx is very nice. I'm a bit in love... then, I just read it's supposed to be 849€ (USD 828) here in Europe. In my opinion, the US-pricing is ok (given you are Morley), but - sorry Morley, as much as I love your fx... my prognosis: It's not gonna sell well in Europe at the aforementioned price. Btw, is delay really only 300ms max?
