Martin is a client of mine, I was really excited to see him finally get a signature model. Should've happened ages ago, if you ask me. I picked up synths and guitar at the same time as a kid and my guitar collection contains a Gretsch simply because of Martin. The Cadillac of guitars!
I have so much respect for Martin. As a songwriter, as a singer, as a guitarist, as a human being. He gave so much joy and tranquility to the world with Depeche Mode and his/their songs. If there were a soundtrack for my life, lots of their songs would be on it for sure. For example i just thought of One Caress, and i've had goosebumps.
"One Caress" is indeed a hauntingly beautiful song that can give anyone goosebumps. It's amazing how music can evoke such powerful emotions and memories. Depeche Mode's contributions to music and culture are undeniably significant, and it's clear that Martin's talent and humanity have had a profound impact.

Absolutely! Martin Gore is a legendary songwriter and the creative force behind many of Depeche Mode's greatest hits. His ability to weave poignant lyrics with captivating melodies has earned him a place in the pantheon of music greats. Songs like "Enjoy the Silence," "Personal Jesus," and "Strangelove" showcase his genius and have left an indelible mark on the music world. The Nashville guitar story is a scene in the Depeche Mode 101 documentary film - Martin picking up a ton of country cassettes at that shop as well… their next hit to be released the following year… PERSONAL JESUS!! Thank god for gretsch guitars and county music… they inspired Martin and a whole lot of amazing bluesy riffs that found their way into DM songs over the next 35 years
I love that scene, with the older lady behind the counter bagging up his cassette tapes and asking if he wants a “good ol country sticker” to go with them…she had no clue who she was talking to…he was very polite as he was “just getting into it”….(meaning country music) I’ve owned numerous Gretsch guitars as a song writer and loved them all, but I was definitely inspired as a 15 yrs old kid watching 101 to love these guitars because of Martin.

Billy Duff from The Cult used a Gretsch Withe Falcon ....and of course Malcom Young the best rhythm guitarist off all times...Love this signature from Martin Gore one of the best songwriters from 80s and beyond
The first song I ever learned on guitar was "World Full of Nothing" by DM. I memorized where Martin was putting his fingers (chord formations) when he came out and performed that song solo with a guitar on the 'Violator' tour at Dodger Stadium.
I enjoyed this interview because it’s in his own words and not been mixed up by other people doing the interview. Great to hear it all how it was in his own words. Very interesting polite gentleman.
I just started my Jazz journey with a used Epiphone Wildkat custom shop (in Pearl) but my friend just got a Gretch. If i upgrade one day, it may be to one of the amazing Gretches. That color grabs you.

I love Martin talking about his guitars and music. Great man!
Such a genius, so many great songs. Loved Dépêche Mode mix of guitar- electronic music.
It makes so mich sense giving that Gretsch a center Block! I had that exact model without center Block and I had to sell it because it would feedback like crazy at band levels
so deserving - his riffs are absolutely essential to their music
Мартин ты Великий музыкант! Как мы ждём твоих новых песен!!! Вдохновения тебе и сил и здоровья!!! В России у тебя больше поклонников, чем жителей на твой Родине. Всех благ тебе и всего наилучшего...
A living legend finally gets his own guitar
What I love love love about Martin is his total honesty and genuine nature. He knows he’ll never be a virtuoso - and he never wasted his energy trying to be.
The most important thing; in his own words:
Find your unique voice.
Billy Duff from The Cult used a Gretsch Withe Falcon ....and of course Malcom Young the best rhythm guitarist off all times...Love this signature from Martin Gore one of the best songwriters from 80s and beyond
OMG, now I will be lusting after this guitar! I can't believe they are just now getting around to doing a Martin Gore sig!
Such a great artist. This guitar is a dream come true
The first song I ever learned on guitar was "World Full of Nothing" by DM. I memorized where Martin was putting his fingers (chord formations) when he came out and performed that song solo with a guitar on the 'Violator' tour at Dodger Stadium.
That’s a GORGEOUS guitar🤩 Congratulations to Mr. Gore
Martin Gore es una leyenda, genial reconocimiento!
Plus belle leçon à enseigner et merci pour la sincérité et l'authenticité des paroles et l'amour partagé de la musique
What a beautiful sound his guitar has! I can understand why he loves this brand!
