Love this movie. Subtitles enhances. The daughter is actually hearing impaired in real life and is a tremendous actress. Highly recommend watching quiet place 2.
She's Deaf. "Hearing impaired" is an outdated term that makes a lot of Deaf people uncomfortable. To refer to all people with hearing difficulties, they prefer "deaf and hard-of-hearing" (which can be abbreviated Deaf/HoH).
Not sure what happened but there's supposed to be subtitles for the sign language...

Millicent Simmonds is the name of the young actress who plays the girl Regan. She is actually deaf from a medication overdose when she was 12 months old.
You’re best reaction Biss. When the father sacrifices himself for his kids you could feel the love he has for them. Exceptionally acted movie Emily Blunt is a fantastic actress
Math is very important. Calculating how long your available food will last, figuring different ways of cutting wood to build things, converting recipes especially dividing when reducing a massive recipe. Math is something we all use in little ways, quite often.

I think it’s a testament to the directors skill, the practicality of sign language, and Biss’ social intelligence that really allowed her to still basically experience the full effect of the film even without subtitles. Most of the exposition was visual and she had no problem picking up the emotional cues. What a very interesting reaction!

Yeah, where's the subtitles? When I watched this movie, there were subtitles for when they were doing sign language.
He didn't say he loved her even more. He was saying he had...always...loved her.
I can't get over the storyline and production of this. You know when it's a monster movie typically you come in and don't expect that real high cinematic caliber yet this delivered it. And as others said the second one absolutely steps that quality up in all ways.
Can you imagine what it's like to see this film in a cinema (press screening) with just 8 people. You could have heard a needle drop. And then this perfect sound design. I have never jumped so high in my seat.... The emotions that are conveyed wordlessly... a great film.
I literally left my popcorn untouched, because I didn't want to hear the chewing over the sound design.😅
This movie had me so stressed out the first time I watched it. You did a good job trying to interpret the sign language without the subtitles I think the sequel is just as good if not better. 😊

This movie is one of my top movie theater experiences of my life. I saw this at release and the packed audience was quiet and embraced by the setting of the movie from start to end! It was so immersive in such a crowd of people all keeping quiet like we're there!
A small masterpiece of a horror film and all credit goes to Star and director John Krasinski... 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩The actress who plays his deaf daughter is actually deaf. The SEQUEL Biss? Is just as good and also directed by John..

I thought that the daughter didn't want to try the new hearing aid her dad made because he had made others before that didn't work and she felt like it was her fault or that she was disappointing him each time.

Biss, this was such a good movie and reaction, I hope you watch the second one soon! There’s a movie that I think you’d love if you ever see it suggested a bunch of times and want to give it a shot, it’s called Silent House. It’s a really good movie that might be a challenge for you to figure out the ending like you usually are able to with movies.

You should download subtitles for this. It mentions all their sign language conversations which is important for details of the movie.
In fact, You should download subtitles for EVERY movie / series / anime that you watch so you don't miss anything like names, spelling and pronunciation.

It's an absolute amazing movie.
I'm surprised this did not have subtitles. I could have sworn it had them by default, but I guess not?
I suppose we are meant to experience their situation by having to interpret gestures and signs, read lips, and strain to hear the hushes whispers, or as I cal lit "listen louder".
On the plus side, I'm pretty sure A Quiet Place Part II (which includes how the invasion started ; everything prior to "Day 472") has more audible dialogue, so not as much "listen louder" required.

For future reactions in Halloween please react to the movie "Lost Boys" (1987) and also "The Frigthteners" (1996), both of wich offer you a "comic Horror" you will like. Also as a mexican fan of your channels, I don't know if you are familiar with tradition of "Dia de Muertos" Day of the dead wich is celebrated on November 1st and second. For those days I recommend you to react to the movies: "Coco" and a Classic Black and white (with subtitles because is in spanish) called "Macario" (1960) firts mexican movie nominated to the oscars. You will surely like it Biss😉😁

You should probably watch this again some time with the subtitles on. So you know what they are saying in sign language. You did ok on some of it, but there was quite a lot of dialog and a lot you guessed wrong. It's not that she doesn't want to hear, it's that he's trying to fix it and hasn't been able to. It never works and she's tired of trying.
Would be nice to see a reaction to the movie ,,No one will save you,, Amazing movie as well :) ... only two words are ever spoken in that movie, the best female performance this year for me.

Please react to the sequel, it's just as good (if not better). It progresses the story in a satisfying way, while giving you a little more context for background about the monsters.

This movie made her wrinkly and deaf.
The pump of the shotgun is so much better than a smirk. Shotguns are the best. This movie is great. Emily is great in this and "Sicario." She is a strong woman instead of a weak man facing even weaker men.

The more I thought about it the more I just have to say that man these parents are pretty horrible for multiple reasons, like they are not good parents.First reason is obviousley the kid killed at the start does not fully understand whats going on, he is climbing on shelves,putting batteries in toys, like he does not understand so first mistake is why were the parents walking so far away and letting him tag along in the back by himself, unsupervised thats number one.Number 2 is exactly what you said Natalie about having a baby, like they know babies make sounds and cry, so sex is more important than survival?I mean they already have half the brady bunch, so 3 kids was not enough they had to risk their lives and have another baby in a world of no sound, thats about as careless as it gets and its not like it was a child born before the creatures showed up, they went and created another baby knowing about the creatures, just bad parenting all around
