John Deere 400 Hydrostatic Tractor: Changing the hydraulic fluid

Every 100 hours your supposed to change the transmission and hydraulic fluid, and every 500 hours the filter gets changed, I show you how to do that on my 81 John Deere 400. Yours might be slightly different but the premise is the same.

Hello wich oil did you juse and wich filter ??

I used hydrostatic oil, they sell it just about everywhere, the filter should have a number on it, I think I listed the filter number in the video, you can also go to your John Deere dealer and tell them you need the filter for the hydrostatic system and they’ll set ya up.
