- Picked up this JD400 parts tractor that had not run in a decade or so. After looking it over i decided to give it a shot to get it back in service. I will have more videos on the 400 soon. The governor replacement is the same on the K482. Serial# 122291

How do you know when the governor goes bad on a 400?
@@ThatMowerMan the points will stop working if it fails or it will over rev is what ive seen.
@@JnP-Restorations so when it over revvs, does that mean the govener is about to fail? Thats what mines doing. (Over reving.)
@@ThatMowerMan i would say yes. Id mark it and remove it. Split it and see if it’s getting ready to grenade on you.
