    I find it AMAZING the overall workability of some of these newer 'online' welders. Bought a YesWelder135 for My Grandson months ago and He's gotten better than ME! He likes the stick/liftTIG/flexcore all in one and I've tried it on all different types of metal and SONOFAGUN if I would have had that sucker 30-40 yrs ago I would have made a FORTUNE NOT carrying around the tanks/MillerMatic/Lincoln diesel. Kids aren't getting into the 'trades' like they used to and equipment like this give me HOPE for the future. SMARTER NOT HARDER!!!! One of these Days I've GOT to run down to Lakeside and shake Your hand (I'm up near Port Huron). My Grandson watches Your channel like a hawk and says, 'hey PapPap, I'd learned that on Lakeside..." Truth is, PapPap is learning, too! Thanks!!!

    dang......its so easy to set up the wire now compared to the old machines......i have a millermatic 90 i bought 30 years ago.......and its a pain to figure out tensions on the wheel and feed roller.....and to switch polarity you need to switch out wires inside the case with a nutdriver.....and this has lift tig i see......way better than scratch start

    Revelation of the week for me was going out the last two days to do a structural steel welding job with just a 60 quid Yeswelder stick machine. 13 amp 220V supply. 6013 2.5 rods - it welded EVERYTHING. If I had it years ago, it would have earned me a fortune.
    Have dicked around with all sorts of these Chinese machines - so far my favorite is Hitbox which I have run crazy hours on over the last 2 years - it has never blinked & I love it like I love my dog. The rest, so far, I like less.. Not tried a Bestarc machine yet - I'll get the missus to order me one & give it a proper run around the block. If it survives a month here, then its ok. 8 hours on per day tends to show up which is naff & which is minty. They all get to run Yeswelder 0.8mm flux core wire - to date, that's my go-to material. I love that stuff.
    Which suggests I ought go buy a Yeswelder gasless machine - I haven' t yet... Their wire is brilliant. Their stick(MMA) machines are brilliant - so maybe their gasless machines are the same...or maybe Bestarc are? Who knows. So little time - so many great new welders.

      There's a ton of great welders out there now for sure. Right now I'm just reviewing the cheapest ones. I'll have to give the Hitbox brand a try. Thanks for that. Let me know how this one holds up if you put it to the "test". Thanks for checking it out :)

      @@LakesideAutobody I bought the Yeswelder mma machine pretty much as a joke - it looks like a toy. Was welding girders today at a very serious dairy-farm - used the Yeswelder. It left every expensive genny-welder I used tow around behind the jeep for dead. It fits in the glove-box & cost - I shit you not, 60 quid...
      Give the Hitbox machines a try - I adore mine - it was 200 quid & welds like a little beast. It or the Yeswelder rate as my best purchases to date - I have in the past bought 5k welders & 10k tow-behinds. None were better than these 2 "cheapos". Both paid for themselves in the first hour of work - lol - go figure. Pity these weren't available when I was a kid going welding - they would have made it a different game entirely. I could have rocked up to work in a hatchback with all the gear in the boot. Like I did today.

    I wish i knew of this 2 years ago! I bought the hobo freight fluxcore to do my autobody repairs. It's messy, but my driveway is my workshop, so i dont worry about wind and shielding gas. I like that the bestarc is 3 welders in 1. Looks handy.

    • @LakesideAutobody

    I have a buddy who is a welding snob , lol… these little units that use flux core are great for auto sheet metal , easier to control heat , cause you can have more stick out ….. doesn’t need to look pretty , it gets ground down and body worked

    I don't know if I'd be glad or happy if I was in the market for a new MIG welder. On one hand there's a lot of good options at varying price points, on the other hand there's so many choices it's could be a little overwhelming

    • @LakesideAutobody

      It is both 110 and 220. You can use any welding rod with it - depends really on what you are welding. Miller is great! If you have the $, you can't go wrong with Miller. This will do everything you need though in auto body repair - no question about it. Feel free to ask more ?s about it 👍💯

    Hi Jerry, Well not for me. While you were welding, I was saying to myself man those welds are dirty and full of soot. Does he have the gas on? Then at the very end of the video you said there is no pre or post flow. Was that for TIG or MIG. That machine to me is just a FLUX core welder even though it has other features. Naturally just my opinion. Thanks for the video and review.

    • @LakesideAutobody
      @LakesideAutobody  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're welcome. I actually don't like pre and post flow gas as I try to save on $. However if you like that, the Riland MIG 200 has it - easy to use too. Look at the welds at 8 minutes and 12 seconds. That's pretty normal - I was messing up a bit at first probably. Nice hearing from you as always Danno 👍💯

      @@bducey Yes - I think it was the ARCCAPTAIN MIG200 - I used a YESWELDER .6/.8 roller and ran the .023" wire. Might have used the .025" tips from Harbor Freight too. If you type "Drive Roll .023 .030 .035 .045 Knurled V U Groove Wire Feed/For MIG Welder Parts" into ebay and select type 3 you'll find the roller that will work with this welder. You don't need to change the liner on the mig gun - just the tip and the roller.
