Great review, Dan, thanks. I have one, too, and love it, although i mostly use mine on 240v because i have it. One important point you missed, though.....you CAN control the amps and voltage separately if you want, and i agree i prefer this. All you need to do is press the control button and it gives you manual mode. I'm like you and rarely read the manual i guess....lol. Thanks for the video, though.

I randomly purchased this welder from Amazon, due to needing a flux core welder in the middle of a project and my transformer mig finally quit feeding wire.
    - Holy sh!t this Bestarc 145 is very very impressive. It tripped the 10amp circuit breaker on the power strip I had it first plugged into when trying 100amps. I plugged in the 240v and this thing just works. The flux core wire that bestarc provided, works amazingly with this machine and is the best flux core wire I have used, compared to Lincoln, Vulcan, etc. I love the top compartment for the wire spool. Easy access to change wire, and the feed button is very convenient. My best flux core welds ever. Haven’t tried the lift Tig function. It will burn up a 1/8” 7018 rod right through 1/4” plate no problem. Fan is automatic and variable and loud when working working hard. The synergy function is a first for me and I’m sold. It just works. I did manually turn it down as low as possible to spot weld up some 24ga sheet metal. I got in on sale for $135. I satisfied and surprised.

I watched a video on this Bestarc 145 welder and he was plugged into 240 and welded 2 3/4" peace's of flat iron together on the flux setting.

Nice video-thanks. To get the wire tip closer to the work and you are using flux core wire, I think you can leave the nozzle off since you are not using gas. Looks like a nice unit. I have one of the small buzz boxes but stick only and I like the 120V capability. Would be a lot more useful with MIG like this one you reviewed...thanks for the info. 🎇🍻

@dansproshop I just ordered one mainly for exhaust work ..I'm a welder by trade ...al I do is weld ..mig tig and stick ....I weld pressure vessel's and hull plates for submarines and aircraft carriers . Hopefully this little buzz box will cut it ..alot of machines like this do not penetrate like they should

@@weld4200 I think would be just fine for exhaust work

What a cool thing that I never knew existed! This might be what I need when JB Weld just won't handle it. If I need real structural welding, I'll take it to my nephew who does it for a living. I know my limits.

If you push in on the knob, it takes it out of auto mode and you can adjust the voltage up or down -3 volts to +3 volts..

Great video! Can you do another one showing us 240v and/or stick?

You know you're from Pittsburgh (Yinzer) if you're just trying to eke out that last inspection sticker. If you know you know.

@dansproshop the lucky people are outside the one county radius that don't need emissions stickers.

Your filet weld was better because you were pulling your weld not pushing it like you did before

I saw the cut in the video I saw the small bird's nest you tried to hide it but I saw it. You should have left it in everybody makes that mistake at least once
