As someone who has 5000+ hours or so in World of Warcraft but quit years ago, fantasy influenced Lego Castle is simply GOATED! Keep up the good content! I wish Lego would have an own Castle/Kingdoms theme again with many smaller sets as well

Oh of course! So as you may be aware jet black faces are sort of rare in the lego world, so I was thinking outside the box... I settled on purple skin tone for my Drow. I am using Monkey Kid parts for spider themed dresses and any and all purple/lavender heads. I have my eye on an "Ursala" head from Disney minifigures for my matron. Of course there are many hair pieces in White. Add a few snake whips from various sets.... and I've got "goblin" slaves for the bulk of the forces. I will be adding a drow house mage soon. Lastly my House Weapons Master is a Drider that I have used gray head and hands for along with the spider from a Harry Potter set.
they should try something like forest knights. they're not exactly forestmen but somewhat close. they could have a naturey castle with forests, which could allow for more fantasy creatures to be added to castle
I like fantasy for all the extra elements it introduces. ALso you can keep your mundain elements. As BB says, fantasy era had something for everyone. I'd even go so far as to say they could do a fantasy island reamls theme which also lets LEGO introduce the killer app of pirates, lego sailing ships!
It would be nice to get some ships again! I feel for the Pirates fans in that regard, they've gotten a few nice sets recently but there should always be at least one on the shelves.
Well aren't they actually doing that right now with "DreamZzz"? The villain got a Pirate ship, only it's a fantasy ship with weird wings and a shark mouth in front

I think it’d sell better than any, judging by parts related are repeatedly sold out on “pick a brick” online and “build a minifigure” in stores. I saw people walking out with blister packs filled with knight torsos and wizard parts only. They are that sought after..
For sure, there's a reason why Lego always puts at least two or three medieval/fantasy figures in the CMF series. I agree that a dedicated series would sell like crazy. Thanks for watching!

This video popped up in my recommended and Im so glad. Subbed and going back and watching a lot of your other castle vids now. There is very little appreciation for castle, especially non-classic castle in the lego community and your videos also have a different style to them than most. One thing though, it could be a problem with my TH-cam app or headphones, but your videos in particular are significantly quieter than all others; just mixed way lower. Thank you so much for making a channel dedicated to Lego castle I’ve been trying to get into it but getting into Lego castle on a budget in 2023 isn’t easy since my best bet for sets are the lion knights castle which is really expensive and the creator 3 in 1 castle which is cheaper but still more than I’d want to pay for castle sets I’m probably gonna get the 3 in 1 tho but still thank you for helping me get into lego castle as much as I am into Lego space

I'd love a golem/war forged faction. It's a faction that could be used on both sides without much problem like kids would probably eat it up. They would also allow for really cool builds. And could be another incentive to create new and useful molds, which could improve Lego overall, like connector smaller connection pieces for mixel joints,L shaped bars, pieces with interesting texture and shapes etc
I really hope the next Castle theme is fantasy. I got into Legos with Bionicle and eventually experienced the fantasy era of Castle, and I really enjoyed it. I think a villainous knight faction named "Dragon Knights" who wear deep purple and black, including obsidian shields and weaponry, would be very interesting and could allow people to relate to the villains alongside the heroes, popularizing an evil faction and creating stronger interest in the theme overall. The deep purple creates a sense of mystery and magic while creating something new but still feeling like a natural faction (with their strong primary and secondary colors). Transparently, I just want a purple and black faction with magic and dragons, so it's also a selfish wish.
It'd be great if Lego revisited that concept in the future, especially since the Tournament Knight is so expensive these days. Thanks for watching, as always!
They could easily stick to a light color with blues for a gryphon faction and make a animal mould for it similar to the horse. Even bring in unicorns with a new head for the horse with a horn made separately. "Stud on the head" to attach. And have dragons with the "badguys". You could keep the lion knights and falcons in as well. And give more falcons. Even bring in the Lion mould for statues in all grey I got some ideas for that. So much more is possible and with the insane new brick types and animal moulds you can do so much more.
I would go as far as to make a new faction of bear knights and have them be the bad guys. With war bears cast in black and brown. With a unique top mounted saddle. After all there are 2 studs on top of the existing mould you can make a clip/studded saddle that attaches on it. And have a knight with lance ride a bear. While the other knight rides the new gryphon. 😏

There is a lot of fantasy themes out there, LOTR, Classic with its fantasy elements intertwined, Ninjago (similar) and the upcoming DReams.... I am actually so relieved the Lions knight castle was more of the realistic side. I want more of a pure medieval theme. One can always add to that with characters, but when sets are designed as skull castles and such, is harder to divert from that.
I'd actually only like to have more castle lines whether they include fantasy or not. But if the choice was up to me, I'd definitely make a mixture of classic faction remakes (like the B. falcons & crusaders) with fantastic elements. Because there is simply a huge potential. Maybe an elven tribe among the forestmen? wargs with the wolfpack? Idk! Lego castle Lore is greater than we would've imagined. As long as the price isn't too high anything is welcome

I’m in on the fantasy idea, but would like it to be a little more grounded than 2008 Fantasy Era. For example, the Troll Wheel is fun, but not exactly what I’m looking for in castle builds.

I want to see the original green dragon size mount return. imagine drake riders vs gryphon riders?!? they could do ground mounts too like raptor riding trolls vs panther riding elves! and they could have some big figs for both sides too like trolls and giants/ogres or elementals but make them cool and semi intelligent looking with armor and unique weapons
I don't know what it is, but although fantasy is one of, if not my favorite themes for many media sources and collectables, I really hate it in LEGO castle. The dragon masters theme actually got me to stop pursuing LEGO castle altogether back in the day. For some reason, it was the same way with LEGO space -- I hated the themes that introduced non-human factions.
@@BB2O2 Yes in fact. The Medieval Blacksmith and Lion Knight's Castle are incredible, and thanks to the MOC designers' work found on Rebrickable, the Medieval Castle set is great too. I would love to see the Black Falcons get a similarly large castle for their faction in the coming year.
It would be nice if they can collaborate with D&D and make sets around that and then you can use those sets in campaigns. Win win for both companies imo.
Thanks for your comment, Milos! I'm personally not big on licenses, and I wasn't into LOTR when it was crowding out Castle. If Lego could find a way for them go coexist, though, I'd be down for it! I know how popular D&D is.
The 2007 fantasy era castle sets were my introduction to Lego and one of my old plans was to build up an army of around 50 of the Crown knights

All lego castle is fantasy imo. Trolls, dragons, animated skeletons, and wizards. There seems to have always been elements of fantasy.

If you think about it lego have already made a Griffin like piece referencing the Hippogriff from set 75947 so lego could just re-use that piece

There's a Buckbeak Hippogryph mold from Harry Potter that can be purposed into a gryphon of sorts.
Good point, but I don't know if Warner/HP will let Lego reuse the mold. Some molds are specific to their licenses

Love to see a Raven Knight faction based on the collectable tournament knight mixed in with classic themes and fantasy elements

One dragon offsets the entire non fantastic vibe. Any castle works so well with a dragon raid, it makes no sense there isn’t one in each castle.

Interesting take. A lot of people agree with you but I happen to be a Nexo fan! I wouldn't pick it over more traditional Castle though
