Hey David....just found this old video of you kayaking and this is getting nuts....I live on Cape Cod and we have over 350 beautiful ponds.....and I kayak all of the time from May through October.....I trike in the mornings and kayak late afternoons and play golf on the days that I don’t do one of the previous choices....throw in the model railroading and we have all of the same hobbies. Great minds think alike.....btw..I use Pungo 12 footers...no pedals...all paddling for me! Fyi....I am a retired doctor who just walked away from it all 12 years ago when I was 55 and I haven’t looked back......and I don’t kayak in Florida as I am not fond of alligators and poisonous snakes!

Sounds like we are cosmic twins. Awesome. I'll be posting again soon; almost done splicing together the next video.

David Massey great. Thanks. Going for a long ride here tomorrow morning.... temp will not get over 40. I have the gear to stay comfy. Will send model railroad pix at a later date.new 559 comes in a few days. Might put a Bafang or a Bionx..if it can be found...on it when I get back from Florida. I love your pedal type kayaks....I have the regular type....I live in Plymouth right off the Cape. Will send some pix next spring kayaking around the Mayflower in Plymouth harbor. It is being restored now for the 400 year anniversary 1620-2020 and lots of festivities here next year.lots of history here. One of my videos shows me riding through a 350 year old cemetery on cape cod. A wild tour. Late here. Off to sleep. Talk later. M

Wow. Sounds like so much wonderful history back there in that part of the country. My wife and I have promised ourselves to get back there one of these days. I've never been to the East coast, so that's something to look forward to.
Yes, make sure you shoot some footage when your 559 come. As far as E-Assist, better go with Bafang, only because Bionix is officially out of business as of last year and you may trouble getting service. I don't think any sellers are offering any type of guarantees even if selling the few remaining units.
I'm still in the learning curve phase as far as my Bafang unit, as you will see int he next video. Having fun though. Take care. Be careful out there.

David Massey thanks! Get back East and I will
Give you a helluva tour! I know bionx is out of business and fortunately my system on my Trail is working great and should I need service I have a competent guy. Parts might be a different story . Been doing my Bafang research and it looks like the best option. Will do it in the spring if I think I need it. Certainly don’t need it in Florida! It is also only about 40% of the cost of the Bosch system which catrike is offering. Have a great weekend and a wonderful thanksgiving with family! Going for a very cold ride about 9 am EST. Best wishes. Mark

Looks like you ended up with the outback and your partner the revolution? What a great part oh the world you live in, is that a lake or the ocean.

Yes, she tried the Revolution 11', but found it way more difficult to straight-line than the Revolution 13'. I got the Outback because it's wider and I plan on doing some ocean fishing. Believe it or not, both of those scenes were filmed on the ocean. The water was so flat and still those days it was super natural. It must have been like that when the Lord calmed the seas. Thanks for commenting - take care.
