Well, look who just showed up in my YT feed! Good review! I never played this until it popped up on Switch online. It's not a bad game. Certainly good but not great. Would have been a good rental had I given it a chance back then.
Hey Bracey! It's always a treat when you throw up a video. You're one of my favorite video game channels. Love the old school vibes here. The best things about this game are definitely the box art and character design. It reminds me of old school anime like Fist of the North Star.
Such an obscure and funky game. The 90s produced such interesting fighting games, like Tuff e Nuff for example. I rented this one from Blockbuster and it was cool but it didnt amaze me. Tuff e Nuff did. The music in Tuff e Nuff was really good. U might wanna make a vidd on that game man. I know it’s hard to make videos and keep up w life’s daily demands but your content is fire Mr. Bracey, so you definitely should think about making more 😁

Great to see another review! I too have a bit of a fondness for the also-ran’s of 2D fighters. It’s fun to goof around with a new cast of fighters. I wish the sprites were a bit larger, some of the designs have a nice Fist of the Nort Star vibe. Seems very average overall, with a few fun quirks and meagre roster. If I ever play it I’m gonna main Main ;)
In this (admittedly niche) sort of category of single player focused SNES 1v1 fighters I think Jaleco's Dead Dance/Tuff E Nuff is one of the best. Surprisingly so, as it came out after the first Rushing Beat (Rival Turf), which I thought was a turd. Dead Dance doesn't get a lot of love, but what it does, it does very well in my opinion.
I never know when I’ll see a new RetroSnow video, but I can always look forward to something I had never heard about.
