I subscribed. I guess I feel a relation to you. I took 0.75 mg of klonopin for 6 years. I went on and off about 3 times in that period. I did taper, but still. I know coming off that many times made all this way harder. I'm currently exactly 8 months off and honestly feel awful. Every day is hell. The worst part is pretty much nobody can relate to it or understand. When ppl see someone with cancer, they know it's very very bad. But they don't realize that benzo withdrawal can be just as bad or even worse. I think that's where a lot of my internal anger comes in. Not having 1 person who really really understands in my life. Haven't been able to work since january 2023. I'm honestly only still alive cause of my mom. Our bond is too close and she understands as much as she can how I'm feeling. Wouldn't be here without her.
Thank you for sharing that. I’m sorry to hear you’re going through a tough time. It is so hard when we feel alone. But you’re not. Remember that! And also that your life is precious and you have something to offer to the world. Sending good wishes
Thanks for answering! That was a quick reply haha. I'm doing my best to stay positive and keep going. The amount I know now about medications and just everything, I wish I knew before I ever took anything. But can't live with regrets. Just gotta use my knowledge for when I'm healed from withdrawals. @@casseyklie
Hi. So the medicine wasn't working as effectively anymore. It wasn't doing much and I definitely hit tolerance withdrawal. I was having withdrawal symptoms while on them. Also, after the 2nd time I got off and got back on, it felt like the past withdrawal stayed mildly while on the same dose again. Lots of issues. The healthcare industry is awful and they don't tell you anything about tapering, withdrawal, side effects, etc... We need to raise awareness. @@alessiaamanda9435

I was prescribed clonazepam as an emergency med for my PNES recently. Thank you so much for sharing how difficult this was for you. It is valuable information for me because I will make sure I am not depending on it.
Im glad i can be of help! They were quite active in December averaging to about every second day. So far ive had 3 days this month which I guess is close to every second day but instead of having multiple in a day ill only have one. I do take ativan every once in awhile if its really bad. Which i guess you could say is kind of the same as taking a dose of clonazepam. As long as your not taking it everyday i think youll be ok! Ill take an Ativan maybe once every 2 weeks.
The first thing I noticed is how much coherent and faster you’re speaking (coming down from the 1.5mg video). Go YOU!!! 🎉 I’ve been on 10 years. I’m at .5 and am going to start trying to come off. So nervous.
Awe thank you for noticing! Yes I go back and look at my old videos and it was crazy how drugged up I was. So glad to be feeling more like myself 💕 you go this! You will have ups and downs but it does get better. Sending you so much strength and love!
I was on this for anxiety after a lot of chemotherapy, and not being able to sleep, I went to some other doctors whom advised me to get off of it, which I did, and didn't have too much trouble. I was on Hydrocodone, 10/500mg, 6 per day for 10 years and decided that was not healthy, so I stopped pretty much cold turkey, and that was very hard, but I got through it. I think what your doing is great, art, meditation, dogs, etc. that's what I am doing now, I am sorry your having issues.
I have been on clonazapam for 20 years and tried to taper off once a while ba k with the help of my Doctor. I take .5 twice a day but when i finally had reached the last quarter piece after about 3 months tapering my Doctor congratulated me and about two days later it was lije a brick in the face. Started getting the absolute worst withdrawal symptoms so bad that i felt i was dying. I gave up and had to realize it had beat me. My current Doctor says it must have been i came off of it too quickly, especially when i been taking it so long. I guess when I'm ready i will let him help me taper off taking longer this time.
It took me two years to wean off the same dose you're on. Then another year for the brutal insomnia to go away. The last .25 dose was the worst. I took that at night and after stopping the insomnia set in. Also, restless leg syndrome. If I started to doze the RLS would kick in and wake me up. I slept one to two hours a night for about six months. It improved slightly then got 75 percent better at the one year mark after complete cessation. By the way, I took the Klonopin for 27 years. Hang in there.
Awe. Monty, Montey? is sooo cute! Anyways, CONGRATS to you. I'm trying now after 17 years and it's hell. I've been up since waking up yesterday at 7pm. I took a nap around 2-3pm and still can't sleep. I felt so horrible, I hurried up and took my meds at 7am instead of 12pm because I couldn't handle the mental pain.
I just started clonazepam… & Wellbutrin .. this was recommended for my bi polar / anxiety attacks .. only 0.5 for the clonazepam and that shit hits you hard 😐
Yeah thats why I have very little memory from when I was on a high dose. Its tough because it does the job but it does come with a down side. But use this time to maybe do whatever sort of healing you may need and deep dive into looking for other ways that you might be able to help yourself. Best wishes 💕
I have been on a small dose 0.5 over 20 years. It saved my life in a way because I was getting daily panic attacks before but as you get older they want to get you off and it’s scary.
I was on clonazepam twice a day for refractory epilepsy for a while and lorazepam (sometimes it required up to 5 mg) a few times a week for years to stop seizure clusters. Thankfully it didn't create any issue and I was able to just stop taking it after the lobectomy when i was no longer having seizures. But I was definitely nervous about it. I still have a running prescription for it ever since, but I do NOT take that shit lightly. I'll only take a small dose when I *really* need to. So while I personally never developed any issue, those things still scare the hell out of me. I have had problems with alcohol, but thankfully I managed to dodge that one.
