Im on week three off venlafaxine my psychiatrist didn't wean me properly the withdrawal was so hard but i got through it thank goodness 🎉 What helps me now is a clean diet no sugar carbs and low salt & taking a supplement called ashwagandha has helped tremendously. Im finally starting to feel again ! One day at a time we'll recover ! ❤
Hang in there. I’m only half way through but I know about the emotions thing. I find that all my emotions and love for music gets crushed by medication. Good luck! If you can exercise or go for long walks I find that super helpful also.
Good luck! I'm on Cymbalta, which is similar. I've gone off before but am back on for pain management. I had brain zaps going off, but it wasn't horrible. However a dear friend had a horrible experience getting off her SNRI. Getting off these meds is different for everyone. Wishing you the best.
Always amazed at how similar our stories are. Came off this medicine after 2 or 3 yrs. It was hard. We are currently medication free for maybe 6 weeks now. It's a challenge for sure but we are just taking it 3 seconds at a time some days. Good luck!!!
Hi Cassey, please be careful coming off though glad U doing it very slowly, U might need to stay one 1 med at least if U feel worse, work with DR and a specialist in coming off, it's hard though just be careful U don't get worse, therapy may help also, take care and I'm happy for you 😊
@@casseyklie I have FND and generalised anxiety disorder myself so I relate to everything you say, I understand how hard it can be but know your not alone, I would love to come off my meds and think of it often but am worried about the horrible side effects though I have weaned off meds in past and gone into another, wish you the best and hope U get through the bad days which I'm sure will be many as anti dep and anxiety are so hard to come off so I applaud your courage n strength 😊

Hi Cassey. I hope you continue to heal and feel better and better. Can I ask if you were put on venlafaxine or pregabalin first?
Thank you ❤️ I was put on pregablin first
@@casseyklie Thank you. Can I ask how much you ve been able to lower your pregabalin dose so far?
@@jasongendron8309 so far just 100mg - i decided to take a break from it because the withdrawal is pretty bad so I’ve been focusing on the venlafaxine
@@casseyklie That makes sense. Thank you so much.
I wish I was as brave as you are.
This is my second year taking 150 mg and no clue when will be able to come off this drug :((
It’s really hard to do. Be gentle with yourself ❤️
