    I have the same problem. But i wondered in the beginning of this video you measured the old PS is 12v, but in the end of video the voltage of the new PS is 24V ???Please help. Thanks. I measured my PS is 11.96V so i think my PS is working fine.

    • @jonastriesanything
      @jonastriesanything  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, 11.96 V is basically 12V.
      The power supply I used in testing was 24V. That’s why it showed 24V.
      In my case, 24V was ok to use since I have 8 cameras with extended wires. Needed more power to maintain all of them.

    So, I’m having same issue. My Current power supply is 12 v. To both unit and cameras. Was yours 12v originally.?

    • @jonastriesanything
      @jonastriesanything  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The original was 12v.
      I ended up just using the 24v power supply and that seemed to fix the issue.

      @@jonastriesanything Yes, thanks for the reply, only to find out that the strip it was in was not working but still going to make sure of all the other plugs I tried you trick though, only to discover no light on that main snake plug (rectangle box that you speak of and point to in your presentation.

      @@jonastriesanything Our cameras are back up and running, Thanks once again for this clear and precise demonstration. t was the 12v power supply that feeds the octopus wires.

    Hi I'm having the same issue, does that power supply plug into the DVR?

    • @jonastriesanything
      @jonastriesanything  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are two power supplies. One for the DVR and the other for the camera wires (octopus connector). This one is for the camera wire.

    hi! I had same issue. I have ordered the new power code. and tried.. but still black screen...... what should I do?

    • @jonastriesanything
      @jonastriesanything  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you connect a monitor to the DVR, do you see a black screen?
      If the voltage is good for each line, then check if there are any errors relating disk drive or other parts.

    Where do you buy a new power supply from?

    • @jonastriesanything
      @jonastriesanything  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Amazon. Just search for security camera power supply.

    So im wondering if this is the same reason my outside cameras act funny at night and go all fuzzy then go clear and then just record in black and white instead of colour.

    • @jonastriesanything
      @jonastriesanything  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, exactly the same symptom that I had. Camera goes blurry, then black after. Caused by faulty power supply not supplying the right amount of power.

    • @carlosribeiro3821
      @carlosribeiro3821 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jonastriesanything that's so weird cause I had these cams up for over a year and just last few months they act up.

    • @carlosribeiro3821
      @carlosribeiro3821 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Dancerboxer might aren't black, I have 2 of them get pixelated at night. And then one of them just stays back and white outside and the rest are colour.
