- Hi Guys,
This is a short video to show how my 11" 2015 MacBook Air with 8gb RAM and 256GB SSD running El Capitan starts faster than the newer 2022 MacBook Air with 16gb RAM and 1TB SSD running Monterey.
Bro breathes like darth vader 💀
Bro tired
@@RA-IL bro needa exercise and oxygen 💀
@@usman2131Some people find it hard to breathe through their nose.
@@brendablasthatchyeah fish
Bro is Darth Vader himself
Took so long he started snoring
Lmaaooo
Here’s why:
old Mac OS doesn’t use many resources to start up and it’s loading faster. The os is just lighter than today’s ones
But also the Mac with the newer OS is also more powerful
@@danhutchinsonbackup when the Mac is more powerful it doesn’t mean that the is is lighter.
@@MikhaKey but if the 2015 MacBook Air was running Monterey which it does support it would be slower then the m2 2022 MacBook Air
@@danhutchinsonbackup if an m2 macbook will run mac os X it would boot up in literally seconds. You just tell me jokes.
@@MikhaKey imagine a m2 MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger it would boot instantly
Darth wader behind the camera
Hahaha
Nah that’s Dart Wafer 💀
Blud had trouble breathing 😮💨💀💀 this is why you should never smoke 💀💀😮💨
Bro is breathing like darth vader
Dat breathing though
Bro has arm day and has children screaming at the background 🥶👌
Old is gold ❤
That’s normal, old OS is lighter and demand less resources to boot
But this in an m2 MacBook Air . It feel that this should have at least the same speed with the huge performance increases
@@xxthr0wnshadexxthats not how it works
@@creamcrate but this is a heavier OS, with a more powerful processor, while that's a lighter OS with a less powerful processor. I feel like that's how it should work.
It shouldn’t be
@@creamcratethat's how actuallly it supposed to work, because in The macbook air 2015 theres an i9 5th gne processor of 14nm fabrication process and clocked at 1.6 ghz but boosted upto 2.7 ghz and 1900 million transitors, but in m2? Its tsmc's 5nm process and literally there are 20 billion transistors. If your resources increase simultaneously your Tech is also increasing, but idk what type of weed apple was smoking during m2 manufacturing. It should've be atleast 10% faster than the i5 from 2015. Literally 8 years of gap, it shoud atleast percom similar (too hugely compromised if we see the price apple is taking).
Bro was breathing hard by pressing a power buttong
Umhhhhhhhh umhhhhhhh umhhhhh😅😂
This is why, old OS don’t really use as much resources as the newer Operating Systems so, the lesser the resources, the faster it is.
We do they always have to add bloat
My 2014 macbook air has a 10 second startup with Mountain lion
Omg the sound you make.
sick tank top dude
I can't believe that people still use boot time as a speed measurement 🤦♂️
Fr it's way more dependent on your hard drive speed and how light your OS is I've seen people using it for comparing GPUs 💀
i am using the old mac i have install big sur on it and it works like a charm
EL CAPTAIN 🏴☠️🦜
i thought it was El Captain until i looked at the name more clearly
@80721 oh no I was wrong😅
@@80721it was el capitan
Something endearing about those old Airs.. if it wasn’t for the terrible displays I’d have one.
Did i just hear someone get beaten up
You can put Monterey on the 2015 Macbook
the macbook air is WINNER!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, the quality of MacBook Air M2’s speakers is so impressive!
Bro went “a mimir” ☠️☠️☠️
I feel like it does it to give it more time to load so it isn’t that laggy when it loads I would say
BRO your kids are getting whooped real bad you should help them instead.
Mac OS Monterrey has a lot of API
It should be timed at the startup soon tbh.
If u know the ram management u know wt it is 😅
I boot tested my early 2009 20 inch iMac on leopard vs my late 2015 21.5 inch iMac on el captain and somehow the 2009 iMac booted first
its not surprising, because THE OS IS NOT THAT MASSIVE as Monterey for example.
@@MikhaKey but also the late 2015 iMac is like a lot more powerful than the early 2009 iMac
@@danhutchinsonbackupyou’re still loading a much more massive OS no matter how you look at it, booting up isn’t the same as benchmark tasks.
@@-xnnybimb-9398 but then both my late 2015 iMac and my early 2009 iMac both running el captain the newer iMac boots up first??
@@danhutchinsonbackup same OS, so of course the more powerful/newer one will be faster. Before we were talking about an older, smaller OS on an older computer that doesn’t have to work harder to boot it up, here we are discussing an older computer working harder to boot up a newer OS than a newer computer that is much more compatible with said OS. It really is not the complicated.
Please give that macbook air the. Macbook air is my favourite...
At least they are faster than my iMac, it takes few minutes it to start
No, I am your father 🤺
What apple have done with the intel processors🤦♂️
We would be good without sound on this one bro
That is because the old os is lighter
Luxury MacBook...
I feel bad for you
try installing monterey on the 2015 and see who wins
Older OS uses less resources. A better comparison might be have the M2 use a fresh copy of El Capitan.
I don't believe the M2 cores are use until after the OS loads.
Plus if the M2 is the 256GB version, isn't that a reduce speed of the 512GB and other faster SSD?
Bro is breathing like Darth Vader
M2 has quite a slow SSD compared to M1
I got macos monterey on my 2015 MacBook air
Same
I did until I installed Ventura via open core legacy patcher
Is it faster and do you think it would be faster than El capitan
mine starts much faster
WHY IS HE BREATHNG SO LOUDLY HELP
The MacBook Air 2015 is capable of running maximum up to macOS Monterey, you should update it, to it, more security and features when you use it! But you have indeed upgraded to an M2 MacBook Air though! :P
Edit: but that’ll probably reduce the boot up speed for your 2015 MacBook Air.
Lol
how 💀
because the NAND chip on the 256gb M2 is half as fast as the NAND in old Macs.
It ok with the voice because I’m nice mean to Xbox
The intel chips use a lot more power
Hi are these both silver. I’m trying to see if the new silver is darker than the old MacBook airs
Yes
Newer MacBook Air is Space Grey
Is it stock, sir?

Why is this so true
notchbook 💀
Could you please think of an actual insult
@@Llamuhell no
Thats because i think the m2 one the ssd is more full than intel
edit: el capitan uses less resources then monterey
What?
More full, is what he's probably saying
@@justaprankbro yeah i dont really like typing that much
This bro is talking garbage
Unfortunately I don’t agree. El Capitan is a OS optimised for performance while the new ones are not.
Which Mac is this, the screen is much taller
The title says MacBook Air M2, by the looks of it, it’s the 13 inch model.
Just wait till you put a ssd in the 2015. It loads ridiculously fast.
it already has an ssd lamo
That's what I was about to say, it already has an SSD?
体ごついのぉ
newer OS, more Bloatwares.
windows is way better
el capitan is shit that it wouldent load roblox for me that i updated to catalina cause its better
So i heard that macbooks aren't supposed to be shut down, is that true?
Yea
montery sucks it starts so slow
Probably because you still have an HDD?
Shit ahh ARM CPU. For a M2, Monterey should be super lightweight.
My 2012 MacBook Pro boots faster than that shit. ( Into Monterey, using Hackintosh ofc )
