After I read my bible this morning, I came into TH-cam instead of praying straight afterwards. My excuse was my head was feeling fuzzy and I was going to do it later. I was about to watch some other random video, but then I clicked on this one and wow. I loved hearing everything from this perspective. It’s so mature and God-centred, it’s amazing. I think God also spoke to me through this video as well. Almost a year ago, I met a boy who I developed feelings for. He was my first ever crush (I was 20 at the time, how weird) and we became really close really fast, but he told me fairly early on that he wasn’t ready for a relationship. That hurt me, and I tried to back off, but he didn’t change how he was acting around me. This lead to us getting even closer and we started holding hands/cuddling. I didn’t really know what I was doing and I just went along with it. Long story short, he ended up cutting things off and we’ve never been close since. It’s taken me a year to move past it because it really hurt me. I didn’t guard my heart and I let my emotions rule me, which obviously isn’t wise. I know God used this experience to help me because ever since it all happened, I’ve changed so much, especially in my faith. Kian, when you were talking about how your heart was guarded and content when you met Kyle, I felt God remind me that that’s how I need to be and will be some day. That I need to trust in Him and I’ll find the right person for me at the right time. I truly love your videos so much and admire your passion for God. God bless you and Kyle ❤️

i really enjoyed watching this vlog but i think it's important to distinguish between lust and idolatry. while neither are good and God calls us to flee from both of those sins, i don't think that guarding your heart and making sure you don't get emotionally invested is lust - i think you were trying to make sure this new guy didn't become an idol (which is great and super wise!). i just think it's important to make sure we don't automatically associate being excited about a guy to lust.

God knows your desires & He will hear your but you have to give yourself over fully to God. I prayed for a few years for a spouse and I didn’t hear anything about it. I was careless and lived in sin. THIS year since I’ve given myself over to The Lord, He has sent a messenger from out of state when I was on vacation a message to me. She said that God has a husband for me since I’ve been asking with much more! Trust in The Lord. He may have some work for you to do first before He places your husband in your life.
