      1 John 4:7-9
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

      What does readiness even mean?

    • @Hephzibah40
      @Hephzibah40 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@jccarty1477 I guess you are right in a way (who's ever "ready" right?) But what I meant is God is working on big changes in my heart mind and soul and even physically! God won't bless me until I'm ready in the manner of following Him better! And only God knows if I even will be! I'm good with that! God bless you all! I hope this better explains what readiness means (to me).

    • @jccarty1477
      @jccarty1477 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Oh, course. It's just a convo I've had with people over the years. I could argue that I'm not ready because I'm not in a stable job etc. Or I have a temper or certain addictions. But I've listened to enough stories to realise that nobody is 'ready'. No one ever really has their stuff together. And as soon as you think you do, a close relationship will shine a bright and uncomfortable light on your other areas.
I'm starting to shed that phrase now as the older I get, the less sense it makes.

My boyfriend and I almost decided to get engaged after two months of dating, but we decided to wait a bit longer (we’re also still in college, so that was a factor too!), and I’m so glad we did! We’ve been dating for a year now (and getting to know each other for a year and a half), have had highs and lows, and I can definitely say that you learn so much about someone through conflict! My boyfriend is the same way with needing space, whereas I’m much more of a “talk it out right now” type of person, so it can be difficult sometimes, but it’s so good to start learning these things before marriage! Y’all just have to give each other grace and remember that y’all think differently, feel differently, process differently, and that’s okay! After our biggest fight, we decided to do the Dynamic Catholic Better Together Inventory (great for anyone, not just Catholics!), and it was so helpful! We were able to talk through so many things that hadn’t come up before (or if they had, we hadn’t discussed in detail), so I think y’all may really benefit from taking a look at it and having some of those conversations! 💗✨

One big big thing my fiancé and I do after we have a misunderstanding or disagreement is that we have a long deep hug, genuinely apologize, and tell teach other that we love, value, and appreciate each other. We understand that we both move very differently in the world and have very different ways we communicate and handle conflict. But when we come together out of love and mutual respect for each other we can always find a solution.

KIAN & KYLE! I love you guys! Conflict is a great way to learn and grow in a relationship. It can be something that brings you closer together as a couple but yes you have to have experiences with it in order to know best how each other deal with it. It’s not uncommon for guys to need their space and girls usually want to communicate through it. I highly recommend the relationship books “For Women Only” And “For Men Only” by Shaunti and Jeff Feldhaun. It goes in depth and explains many common differences between men and woman that is so helpful to get to know each other better and feel known and heard.
Another tip is reading the book he will read (For Men Only) before him and highlight or add notes to the things that really speak to you as an individual, and vice versa have him read (For Women Only) and add his own notes so that when you both read them you have personalized copies that give deep incite into your partner.
Praying for you guys! So excited for you to get married. May God bless your marriage and be glorified through it.

Have a Wonderful and Blessed day!!!
We all living in this world, in this country...God the Dear Lord and Savior made us all, he made the human race, he made all shades brown, black, white, red, yellow. He in his word never mentions race or division by color he looks at Born-Again, and lost, Jew or Gentile. We need to realize if we hate someone due to the shade of their skin we are telling God, the Mighty "Great I Am" he messed up. I really don't believe that is a good idea no matter what shade we are. He also tells us not to murder or take vengeance as it belongs to him.
Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
We are living in the last days and everywhere we look we see the signs!!
Please don't believe everything we see and hear from the media, and from this world. Trust What the Lord has told us and remember he is the only one that is the same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
We need to pray daily for one another. We need to stop buying into the media and the deceitful ways of the enemy; which is Satan.
If you have never trusted Jesus come to him today!! We are living in the last days and know not what a day will bring. I am praying daily for our Country.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

I 100% get where Kyle is coming from on needing the space after a conflict builds up. Working out or exercise when you are feeling tempered can help release a lot of that tension that is built up. That way after it is released he can come back with a clear head and talk to you in the loving way he wants to and not let anger or frustration control his tongue and cause him to say something he didn't mean. Then y'all can communicate and talk things out in a way that is fruitful. Love that you two are so open about sharing moments like this so everyone can learn from them. Its easy to think people online are perfect so its very humbling to see that everyone struggles with things but God blesses us through them all.

I believe that what happened to Kyle is called Emotional Flooding... There is a lot of examples and explanations online and ways to help prevent it. It often occurs when a partner feels that the other person is becoming too heated or the conversation is going too fast that they have a hard time slowing down and processing all the information, leading to wanting time and space to be able to return to normal heart beat and process everything to be able to discuss it logically and calmly. There are great books and advice for learning to manage emotional flooding, expecially by John Gottman (from the university of seattle). It also helps explain why Kyle may prefer to pray alone in those times, as it can be too hard to stay clear and focussed when together after/during the argument. For Kian, it can be scary or feel lonely to be left alone midway in an argument. Taking a moment to reassure you, and let you know that Kyle is in fact praying while he is gone, and that he loves and will fight for you can be very helpful in reducing the stress Kian may feel while she's waiting for him to return to the conversation. Sending lots of love, C.

I respect that you keep it real. You show the awesome parts of being in a relationship (what everyone wants) and the difficulties that come with it as well.
To people watching: Yes, all relationships will require work. Inner work. No, your relationship will not be the exception. And to my single people: enjoy singleness.😂

Kian! You need to read the book called 'For Women Only' by Shaunti Feldhahn. It explains how men's brains are wired differently in all aspects of relationships and marriage. There is multiple chapters about this 'needing space to process' issue. I think it would really really benefit you and Kyle's relationship. There is a brother book called 'For men only' by Jeff Feldhahn (the husband) that Kyle could read at the same time. (Or audiobook 🙂)

I would love if you did a video on “manifesting” or the law of attraction. I’ve seen several people talking about this and it seems secular. Would love to know your stance and if you think it’s biblical or not.

Lee Young hi 👋 I use to practice law of attraction before becoming Christian and the reason it isn’t biblical is because it makes YOU the creator of your reality. Basically you are your own God... and it works but it isn’t coming from God especially if your main goal is to manifest worldly things. (Ex: house, money, cars, followers, ect.) That’s why we say “your will be done” in Our Father prayer. His will not ours.

Lee Young I know you didn’t ask me but I’d thought I’d let you know my experience with it since I use to practice it

Personally for me. I think instead of Law of Attraction, I think for Christians it’s faith.
In terms of manifesting.. ppl debate.
I feel if it’s alignment with Gods plan, your faith of Him, and with Him. It makes sense.
Like faith to get into this school (& lets say you don’t, you really wanted to still- God planned that for a reason). I will say at this point I’m content with anything God has thrown my way or my path.
The only thing I truly manifested was a scholarship (in His timing not mine- I needed additional funding for this school year). And back at my community college ... a parking spot daily closer to campus since it was too many ppl enrolled that year so parking was limited 😂
      First come, first serve.
I do know LOA and manifesting is something ppl go beyond. They tend to mix it with spirituality practices.

Grace Callie it’s nothing terrible😊 it’s just some water misters. I do remember Kian saying she lived in a hot area such as Arizona if I remembered clearly. Because of that, if you’ve ever visited a hot place like that, if you go out to a restaurant or sometimes in any public space, there are those misters. They Also have them at Universal Studios!✨❤️

For my husband and I to avoid my shutting down when I feel like I’m starting to shut down I ask for a time out 5-10 minutes to organize my thoughts. Helps a lot ❤️ I also love how you added that you felt closer after dealing with the conflict. Conflict actually should bring you closer to your partner in the end and it’s so important that people talk about that!
