Great video as always Looney, the best tunes are connected to the themes and meaning of the series and characters, not simply grandiose visuals and great lyrics ^ ^
I liked this video, but I would have liked to hear you compare The Magic of Friendship Grows to True, True Friend if you were going to bring that song up. Between the 2 songs, I personally would pick the former since The Magic of Friendship had a bigger impact on me, even though True, True Friend is still awesome. I think that song stuck in your head due to how catchy it was too because that can play a big deal for sure. Still good video Looney.
Sad thing is; true true friend was originally in the script, but I switched it out for leaves from the Vine. Don't remember why, but I might make a follow-up with that one...that said, I'm glad you liked the video ^^
Yeah, I always say I'm going to try and do videos again, but it takes a while for me to get around to it....guess the turtle mascot was a fitting choice XD
Not to be all "ACTUALLY" but technically the Lion thing does sort of come up. Once. When Steven tries to store the rejuvenator there only to find out he can't.
there is some thing to be said for Daniel Ingram who writes many very catchy songs and can imitate any style vs Danny Jacob who makes a few stand out songs but nothing I want on a Play List or Rebecca Sugar who writes beautiful songs that can add to a moment but only has a small hand full that mean any thing to me. Paul Williams also does a lot of good stuff but Muppet Movie songs I enjoy while Muppet Show and Muppet Babies songs I skip . The Ghost and Molly McGee also writes a lot of fun songs, but again nothing I would sing in public or play on a play list . Kipo songs I also love but they don't stick in my mind that well. lapti nek is a great song that feels perfect for that part of the story where as Jedi Rock feels like it comes out of no place and distracts us from the story to be showy. Batman never had much in the way of songs but Say That We're Sweethearts Again is verry memorable and Mayhem of the Music Meister is a lot of fun to sit threw. and as great as Owl House is it would get me more emotional if a Rebecca Sugar song plaid over the end of King's Tide just like how that one song they play at the battle of Toad tower works perfectly in that one moment. On them other hand The Songs from the likes of Teen Titans Go or Spung Bob I could go with out hearing again. The Loud House songs I love some of the ways they use Luna but episodes like Save Royal Woods or the songs from the movie where they went to Scottland were just not needed. Fraggle Rock has many great songs but a lot of it gets a skip. The Songs in Love Hina are great and so are the ones in Azumanga but a lot of Kadocha songs I skip and I ignore the songs in Real Ghostbusters. Chipmonks those songs are cover songs so they don't count the Dino Spumoni songs from Hey Arnold, the Beats from Doug, the cover songs in Tiny Toons, the funny songs in Animaniacs I love all of those. Songs in Strawberry Shortcake I tend to space out over. and so on. I also enjoy "love makes the world go round" from Powerpuff girls
5:08 oh I get it now, this is why certain scenes in a *lot* of Vivsies stuff doesnt really work for me. Too many times her team thinks "this would look really cool" before thinking about how it would actually effect suspension of disbelief and fit into the story and pacing. Another example of this is the robofizz Lulu land song. Ironically when he starts referencing the song being talked about right here. Its kinda funny but it breaks the pacing and feels really off.
9:21 this scene was 100% pure SPITE. The story board artist that made this scene made it very clear by other scenes they made that they dont like people who do theories. They left the chest open with NO EXPLAINATION. Just something that was teased, and then you get NO ANSWER. Very frustraiting.
@@citrusella-nomorecraptions I looked it up at one point, I think its all on the wiki or something. Went through the series just to nail down exactly what each boarder did to the show, all of them have at least one bad episode, but there are a few stand outs of people bringing the show down in general. For example I know everyone loves Paul Vilco's funny meme faces but if you look at the episodes hes done, and then the man himself, hes probably a pedophile. He just looks like one. Anyway, to the point, this scene if I recall correctly was Hilary Florido (may have been Lauren Zuke but I cant recall) anyway they worked on the epiode "rocknoldo" an infamous episode basically making fun of fans that make fan theories and such. They hate theorists, and that was the only reason I liked the show at a time, so I dont really like them. If theres any I like, Jeff Liu is a standout, and if Colin Howard didnt do so much filler he'd probably be my favourite SU writer.
