Buy a Handi-Man jack and those t-post will come out easy peezy!

I just google that and yeah that would work amazing. We did the east ones by hand and for the hard ones we used a 10’ 2x6 with a chain at the end and a cinder block. We would then make a big lever out of it and get them out. But we really appreciate the input. Those jacks are really handy so I will be adding one to my tool collection soon!

Not sure how familiar you are with Septic systems, I've owned a home with one and lived in another. I'm surprised you didn't have an inspection done of the system prior to buying the property, I'm also surprised the previous owner lived in the house for 14 years (?) and had no idea about the location! That potentially tells me he never had the solids tank pumped out and depending on size and house size solids tanks occasionally need to be pumped out. If you don't know more about the system and its location or the last time it was inspected/pumped, I would spend some time looking for it or hire a professional to locate and check it out. The last thing you want is a poo storm in the house or your Airbnb property. Just my $0.02.

We dug around and found it recently!! That is a very good 2 cents! And a great idea- thank you. We are going to do that for sure. We found that one of the joints isn’t completely sealed (ew) so we are getting that fixed and we are going to get it pumped for sure. That would be so AWFUL if that happened.

@@buildfixflip Just one more thing that I remember, and the company that services/pumps out the tank probably will suggest this as well, is a product that can be added to your toilet that increases the digestion that happens in the solids tank. One of those things you should do on a schedule from a maintenance perspective. Good luck!

@@Cheiron19 that’s a really good idea! Thank you! I’m sure that prolongs the life of the tank huh!
