@Ballade Sports, sorry for responding 2 years so late, but at @5:28 couldn't you just simply decrease the rotor size to 280mm instead? The holes would line up and you'd get your bigger pads as well.
For the replica calipers, do they have piston seals like the newer Spoon calipers? I noticed with the old monoblock they don't have those outter rubber seals like stock OEM calipers have on their pistons (to keep dust/dirt out).
So is this made in the same factory you got the replica from or did you send your design to a different manufacturer? Ether way what is the manufacturing country?
I was wondering if you can help me out. I’m thinking about getting Spoon Sports EK9/DC2/ZF1 4 Pot Monoblock Caliper 45020-MBF-G00/G01 for 01 Acura Integra ls what size rotors do I need to run.
The rwd and fwd calipers should be different because the caliper placement. The lead piston would be in a different position on the s2000 vs a tsx or integra. The s2000 front caliper sits facing the back of the car. And the fwd honda calipers sit towards the front bumper. This is why tl brembos don't work well on the s2000. The lead piston position is flipped so it does bite or feel right at all. So I'm assuming you're solution is going to have the pistion lead piston configuration of the s2000 twin block?
Don't wonder. Know for sure! On our listing photos show a template! Print to size and check it behind your wheel! Something the most major competitors never provide!! balladesports.com/collections/brake-caliper/products/s2000-logo-engraved-4-piston-brake-caliper-kit-direct-fit-model Its at the end of the photo reel.
Very interesting video. Thanks for making this, I was looking into endless 4 pot brakes for my S13, and they have pictures showing either monoblocks, or the older design twin block. Not sure if it's just the dealers using a stock photos for simplicity but it's pretty confusing. Also, for people out there, they are making fakes of both spoon and endless brakes. Watch out and make sure you're dealing with a legit seller.
Very informative video and the ingenuity is brilliant.... I just wonder if the spoon twin block would bolt on directly onto the DC2 spindle with 300 mm rotors from an s2000? Thank you for the information mate...
Great question!!! Yes it can use a Acura RSX DC5 Integra front brake rotor 300mm with our new twin block!! Original Spoon twin block is only made for 11 inch rotor 282mm. But now an Integra 5 lug can have a bigger 300mm brake upgrade with Ballade S2000 Twin block!
If spoon made the monoblock with the ITR/NSX pads it would be a win. And tbe extra mass of the monoblock helps keep brake temps cooler. Monoblocks be stiffer which in turn creates less heat. Too bad they went to smaller pad design
Hello, great question!!! If you change to a larger 12 inch!!! This makes it a BBK for DC2 R. Email us at info@balladesports.com and we can put together a kit for you.
absolutely awesome time and work into this no doubt but $200-300 difference between the real legendary Spoon calipers. Or few hundred less for Brembos or 6 piston Wilwoods. That is tough competition to say the least in that price range. I’m sure you’re doing well tho & you deserve it because that is dedication man. Nothing but props to you 👍🏽👍🏽🤙🏽
Nice video - prefer the red over blue on the Spoon calipers and at almost half the price the Ballade calipers are very attractive. l've also noticed that you've added the 2020 anniversary front bumper - looks good. Do you like the mod? I'm adding mine now. Would love to see a nicely made front splitter/lip for the anniversary bumper - the Renote looks great, but the product is a bit fragile and a bear to install.
Thank you very much. Yes the 20th bumper is much nicer in person than what many had trashed it at TAS release. Most new products take time to grow on people first. We like the renote look. Hope some more come our soon. We may have something available next year.
Wait you sell these? Is that not straight up plagiarism? I love it when someone takes one thing, and it doesn't work for them, so they put so much effort into making it work, I do this quite a lot and respect it, nice work 🙂 you haven't just accepted something that isn't perfect for your use 👍

Yes we did take that into consideration already
the S2000 are based off of the Mugen active GATE that they use on the dc2
Can you replace the rear drum brakes on an EG Civic with the Spoon 14-inch rotors and fit the twin-block calipers into said calipers?
Wonder if these would clear my Volk Racing 17” Ce28n wheels??

Does the twin block a direct bolt on the BB4 and BB6 Honda Prelude?
Yes
Still prefer monoblock over twin, and radial mount over lug mount from personal experiences.
Good morning Sir if i use volk wheel te37 size 15 inc / 6.5jj / offset 36 can fit or not
Any idea if these clear Titan 7 wheels?

Surely the pad is too large for the disc? It's larger in every dimension?

will this caliper work on ITR knuckle?
DC2 or EK9?

Awesome video on explaining the difference of Spoon Calipers vs Ballade. 👍🏽 great work!
Cringed @1:19 he dinged the twin block on the mono block.
