Hello Team throtl, this is just an idea which I had in my mind while watching your videos for about 2 years. I think you should initiate a separate channel like "Throtl School" where you provide step by step guidance on assembling these new parts, showing how it's done and what are the pros and cons to select any part etc. It's basically you show in depth teaching and guiding people to obtain the mechanical knowledge and many more etc. I know you talk about in detail about these parts assembling but what I suggest is step by step instruction videos. There will be some extra effort but I think you can create these videos while recording the main video, I believe this will help people to obtain more knowledge when the necessity arrives. Love watching your journey and keep it up guys 💪💪🔥🔥 🇱🇰
Haven't watched the video yet. But some race's require a independent braking system from the primary for redundancy. As a emergency stop, using a electronic parking break makes that easier than having to run lines and a reservoir or a cable. This is purely speculation of course on the why they did it.
And you can still run a hydro brake for the rear off the main caliper. I'm a huge fan of a secondary caliper park brake. Keeps the heat off the pad and rotor when you stop after getting hot.
Nearly every single big brake kit for the rear does not/can not incorporate a hydraulic handbrake without adding a second smaller caliper. This is one of the only kits that incorporates the electronic handbrake into the main unit
I would run a hydraulic rear hand brake(drift) in parallel with a 1 way check valve using the rear 4 piston calipers. Still keep the E-brake single piston as well for parking.
Waiting for the final result before judging the overall look. But I think with a bumper that polarizing, a hardtop and wheels will determine the final look.
Watching you guys videos makes me miss working and tuning on Japanese motors. Miss all mine from the past. Hopefully 1 days get back to it. In meantime love the work you guys do 😁👌👌👍
I'm surprised Will didn't address the functionality of the soft top + e-brake. Curious to know if the Willwood accounts for that functionality or if Will had to work some sort of programming magic to make it work. For those that don't know, the e-brake has to be engaged in order for the soft top motors to function on an S2000.

They showed a S200 in Initial D doing a downhill race with the turbo AE86 with Takumi, Keisuke made a uphill and downhill race with a GT-R, they were called, respectively Foot of God (the S2000) and Hand of God (obviously the GT-R R34)
Shouldn't be soldering anyways. There's a reason why majority of connections from factory are crimped. There are specific reasons to solder. Also why would you want electric parking brake on a RWD. Should have thrown a hydro in there.
My two cents on the build so far. The rear bumper is throwing the look of the build off for me. Not a fan, but thats personal preference. The E-brake, that should 100 percent be powered without the key on. Every modern car with electronic e brakes maintain power while the vehicle is off. Besides those two minor things, I’m loving the build so far. Keep up the great work!
@12:34 what about if the car is in gear, or if the car is driving and that switch is accidentally applied, by driver or dipshit passenger, will it lock up rear wheels going 75 down the freeway? some sort of safety over ride for that?
So I’m confused, the e brake is for emergency stopping not only parking. But if you can’t hit the electronic e brake when the car is moving how is that going to work?
All this chassis stiffening but no spoon rigid collars? You are still gonna have chassis flex until you take away that slack from where the subframe connects to the body....
I feel like displaying all the stuff on a table and explaining what they are is too much like an infomercial. And who likes infomercials right? Could you just just talk about what the products are in a more informal way like while you're installing or halfway done? even after it's installed.
