Best trout fishing in the country. Just went couple weeks ago and caught some nice trout. 1 was 18 inches but I released it. I see why the rule is 18 inch minimum now there. Let everyone else enjoy the fishing. Only keep the giants
I must have missed it. Went 2 wks ago my first time and the flow was LOW. Caught only minnow browns. Noticed there were a lot of crayfish in that river. Might try a crayfish pattern.
That section yielded my first big brown a couple of years ago after my fifth time on the water with no results previously. It was very gratifying, but your big brown surely put mine in perspective as to what a BIG Brown can look like. Good show!
Thanks Lucas! Didn't end up going through Wildhorse till real late so didn't stop. Check the comments on your channel and I'll let you know when I'm going fishing.
How far down from the reservoir dam was this? I've never seen so many browns caught at once. I usually catch rainbows and cut throats with a few browns in between
Been fish 4X this season. Had been using 6X but lost too many big fish. Doesn't seem to make too much difference except have to use a little heavier bead to get the fly down.
They do plant Rainbows and browns but there is a healthy population of wild and holdover fish. It has some big browns and that is the allure of this river. I know the Great Lakes area has huge Browns. You probably got a laugh when I said I had a huge Brown😂
@@pythomp8390 Hell no those were awesome. There is big lake run browns up here but I prefer the river trout that live in the headwaters year round.Biggest ones are usually 20 to 25 inches but pulling trout that size from streams and creeks is very gratifying.Hey hope all is well out there and thanks for the reply.🍻

Your nailing them bad ass
Awesome brown👍 that is what I was saying at Billy Shaw Reservoir. Need a bigger net.
Very nice... The E. Walker reminds me of late summer wet wading, in sandals, and the millions of crawdads nipping at my toes! Good times!
Definitely! However I don't wet wade too much anymore. I'm old so slip and slid a lot. Would get too many bumps and scrapes!😢
Well done my friend! The brown at the 14 min. was awesome.
Thanks Scott!
None stop
You need a class on how to handle fish
That was wild, I was rooting for you on that big brown. Great fish.
What size tippet?
