Very cool. I have always wanted to fish there but my fly fishing is concentrated on the Sacramento River watershed. Still, that region tugs at me like the proverbial streamer hook set! The Walker Lane is special to me on many levels. Google that and my name if you want to know why...

Sign of a good fisherman is when the line is in the water more than its not......

Pretty easy to access the river? Never been
    Mostly on the rubber legs?

Yeah the access is good on the Nevada side around the Rosachi Ranch. This stretch is on a private ranch you can access through Kens Sporting Goods in Bridgeport. About 50/50 split on rubber legs and whatever attractor nymph I had on top. Most big fish came on the rubberleg

It's too bad that California's killed off most of the brown trout strains they get Giant everybody needs to protect hatcheries and not let their state take over the hatcheries when a state takes over your hatcheries they ruin it all they did it here in Colorado we used to have all kinds of unique strains of trout and now they're all just been hybridized with each other and screwed
