This is a special place that I fished since the early 2000’s. A spot that was not gated at the time and the fisherman were able to drive along the levee rd. My personal best and STILL currently the biggest bass is a 8.2 lbs Large Mouth which was caught and released here. Also, the first time catching a 30” striper while using a live bluegill for bait was here. Unfortunately, even after the homeless camp, this spot is still trashed up. My family and I picked up 2 garbage bags full and it didn’t even make a dent. Enjoy the place because panfishing is phenomenal atm but please clean after yourselves!
YOU are the most unselfish person here on fishing videos. Most fisherman here never reveal the spots and that is very selfish I think. Its stuff like what you do motivates people and kids to fish and have fun. I mean u dont run out of fish because u told them where to fish. This helps people to enjoy the sport and share. I agree with you, not so sweet being selfish with sites. Though this area is private propriety. So bit of a difference there. Personally been there when they requested people leave and police were called.

@@FishingWithAlexS I hear you... just speaking from my experience with that location. We directly or indirectly dealt with them. So more or less heard or was in those conversations with them. So to this day I honored that.
A few years ago me and my buddy went fished on the far right side in Guard Rd and we see striper boils there. We throw out topwater and man it was a blast at that time we pulling out lots of keepers. The boils lasted about a good hour. Then, after that the boils stopped. Both of us got our limit on stripers.

Way back in the day, guard rd was a nice place to go fishing... then the homeless epidemic hit, and that place turned into a dump... ranchers put up that gate, and you could no longer go too far back... anytime fishing with the Familia is definitely a success...
The homeless are gone now and I remember driving out here before the gates were up. The bluegills are on fire right now. Tons of limit from all the fishermens. Go get’em

@DaysSpentWell i have in the past... just take your garbage with you... you'll see where you can on the left once you get there...

Homeless used to camp right in front. My father used to take us here to fish way back in the 80s. Took my kids there. Way back then the farmers used to let ppl fish until idiots kept trashing the place and aholes kept dumping stuff all along the bank.
Haven't been there since the kids were in elementary school. They're all in there 20's and even 30's now.

Guard Rd.. used ta be my fav bass spot back when I was younger. Lots of catfish and blue gills are in there atm
use to fish there alot too. but stop after them people started staying there in rv. wasnt comfortable bringing my kids there.
Yeah, it's pretty tough to see some Old Spots get trashed up. That's like some memories right there, getting disrespected by others.
For sure! Pack in and pack out. It’s not that hard since we all have grocery bags. Teaching my son to clean after others but I felt I didn’t need to show boat it on video for views. Thanks for watching and for the comment!

hey man any good spots for carp fishing? as crazy as it sounds I've been trying to catch them on a fly off a paddle board but its been rough. Any shallow mud flats around with them? been fishing lake natoma alot
That sounds amazing to do on a paddle board. I usually target carp in knight landing but it’s loaded with mosquitoes and kinda eerie being out there with no civilization in sight lol

Its been on fire out here. The homeless got kicked out but unfortunately the fisherman’s still trashed the place. We got a one person limit so fast and I saw at least 6 different limits of bluegills/redears. Go get them bro!

Be careful brother.. Putting bluegill in a container with water is considered as transporting.. you will get fine by fish and game. Tell all the people out there.. Stay safe.

Nice video to be sure! Though if I may good buddy, I'd reconsider posting the GPS to there. That is actually private property. Been there a few times when they've booted people off and warnings were given. I had an indirect connection to the location with someone who actually had an arrangement with the owner.
So yeah just careful if you post locations to private property.

@@FishingWithAlexS Not a thing in a way kind of hard to know. Though easy way if you're not certain it's public, and doesn't look so. Best to try to find out. My father when I was young would actually knock on peoples doors (when possible) and offered them cash or part of the catch. Was hunting then, but same thing for fishing.

I out fished by Grandfather and father near there when I was a child. 38.072442, -121.417112 is the GPS for a bridge near there where many videos have been put on YT for bluegill fishing.

You can depending on the species and if you caught them in the same body of water. Bluegills are fine to use as bait

Sorry, I didn’t see it that way. Just want everyone to have a decent spot to make memories. Unfortunately, all fishing spots are claimed by someone so it’s hard to pick and choose which is appropriate to not upset the locals. I’ll think twice next time I decide to make one of these
