Hi from a swede:) She did that song for her dad. He jumps into the water to save another person. The person survived but her father lost his life.
Laleh is amazing. She produces almost the entirety of her songs herself too, plays several instruments and have even acted! She is an amazing person.
She is also a producer, sound engineer and song writer for many well-known artists. For instance "Stone Cold" by Demi Lovato which she both co-wrote, produced, engineered, did background vocals on and played piano and synth.
Fun fact about Laleh: she’s written a ton of songs for other big artists and is actually a cowriter on Stone Cold by Demi Lovato. Demi and her wrote it together.
Also, I’ve actually been a backup singer of hers for 2 shows along with a vocalist group I was part of and she is not only extremely talented but she is also so, so kind.💞

She played that song live in utøya in Norway after the right-wing terrorist shot alot of teens dead at Island of utøya Island in Norway. She made the performance 1 year after the terrorist act.. ❤️😭
Well the concert was held in Oslo and not Utöya but yes the rest is correct.
Laleh is extremely talent. Playing all the instrument herself in most songs. Using her voice in different ways and many of her songs have a deeper meaning.
This song has become the official song for those 69 teenager and adults who was killed at Utøya in Norway by Anders Breivik. The same day he killed those 69 he also killed 8 people in Oslo.
I can't help to think that a heinous crime made by a Norwegian national was met by a young Kurdish immigrant from Sweden. This is the song for love, remeberence and hope.
The first song I heard of hers was Live Tomorrow and that is still a fave of mine 15 yrs later.
Laleh is maybe the best we have here from Sweden, please try more from her, especially the early.. ;)
She is a kurd/iranian genius who flew as very little from Iran with her parents and grew up in Sweden.
Anyone who reacts to Laleh is worth respect. Somehow that girl is too good for the rest of us.
You should watch the clip from the memorial concert for the victims at the mass shooting on Utöya. Most of them teenagers
