Gladly in the UK 🇬🇧 we're never really that far from civilization - most places are at most 20 miles from a road or track. Plan better for all possible problems.
I think I remember reading the most remote place was in the Scottish Highlands and it was only 7 miles away from a road. That said, I the road could have been pretty far from everywhere else!

Good point about walking at night. Can be easy to hurt yourself walking at night or rushing and panicking 🇬🇧 🇳🇿
