Robby Layton should have been at the Premier, or at least recognized for his phenomenal paint work on the replica truck. Disappointed he wasn't mentioned.
My dad was an extra in a few John Wayne movies. He thought the world of the man and his eyes lit up every time he heard his name or seen something with John Wayne. His favorite story he would tell was riding in a wagon next to John and the conversation they had. RIP JOHN WAYNE AND GERALD STRATTON
My old stomping grounds. Used to be at the Stockyards Rodeo every Friday night for the radio station for a year. Those trucks are so awesome. The respect for John Wayne is palpable. Love it all.
Glad I didn't miss the final John Wayne truck addition. Both trucks were beyond amazing. Robby's team did an awesome job getting the 1968 Ford ready for the presentation. Kinda wondered if the Sparks team would make the trip on time. Sparks did it's usually outstanding preparation for the team to make the trip to Texas. Both trucks were viewed by the Wayne brothers and the one sister. They were each more proud than ever to be the children of the one and only John Wayne, star of movies, and the founder of the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. The foundation trains physicians in the further treatment of cancer. Those fully trained Cancer Physicians move out to various points of the world to treat cancer.
This is so great. The Greatest Man who ever graced us on the silver screen Mr. John Wayne His son is doing him proud. Stagecoach is definitely one of the best.
I wouldn't call him the greatest, considering that every part he ever played, was basically the same. Angry American kills bad guys. Sums up his entire career
Can’t believe Robbie Layton never got a mention for all the great paintwork he did! Normally when u build a car all the material providers mechanics wrap/painters get their logo sticker put on the car but to not get a mention is sad!
You guys did an amazing job on the trucks really nice….John Wayne is an absolute legend he definitely loved our country and our 2nd amendment always RIP JOHN…he also raised good children too …thanks hans and both D S and the rest of team…
Great job guy's. Robby needed to get a little credit for what his team done. Hope you ever wins it really needs it. John Wayne was one of a kind. Love all his movies. Thanks for the video stay safe guy's.
Amazing job guys. Thank you for sharing it, with the whole world, so they can enjoy for many more years. And thank you to the Wayne Family, for picking Sparks Motors for such a special project to honor your Dad.
I would love to see your fab guys getting more air time, especially the guys that do the metal work the fella that built the bumper from scratch is a genius!
Brings back amazing memories watching John's movies with my father.. Man, come home on a Friday night from school and sit and watch a John Wayne movie with my father, man he loved the "DUKE"..
My shout out is to Mr. Chameleon aka Brett the polisher and Robby Layton also The John Wayne Cancer Foundation and last but not least the crew at SM/CO.
Please give thanks to Robby Layton. He did all the body and paint work on this truck and amazing job. Now looking back, this all is starting to make sense and maybe the reason Cole left Sparks. The Dave's are good dudes, but this whole thing wreaks even though it was a good cause.
I’ll see you right now you guys always impress me the way you guys can fix in build trucks is amazing. You have a good team Heavy D and diesel. Dave have an awesome team that works with you guys to make the clients always happy all you guys should be proud of the work that you do to John Wayne trucks came out awesome he was a true American pioneer.
WOW, WOW, WOW, ............. Talk about a job well done. WOW........... Sparks motors, and the entire crew stepped up BIG time on this one. This is one to be proud of for sure. So much planning, fabricating, attention to details.......... Both trucks are outstanding!!! A true honor to the Duke, and his family. Ethan Wayne....... I see looks so much like his dad in his younger days. Patrick Wayne...... I swear it's almost like seeing the Duke himself walking around. Looks like his daddy for sure. Amazing job guys. A major one for the records............
This is truly amazing, John Wayne has been a part of my entire life (31 years). My dad is such a fan that he named me after one of John's characters, Cole Thornton.
My buddy Jimmy R.i.p. grew up with Ethan and the Wayne family in New Port beach .Jimmy has some great storys growing up with this family .on the movie sets ,Ethan and Jimmy would hang out with the stunt men they were the cool guys on the set.they were on the set of Mcwean and the stuntmen rigged a Cadillac to fly in the air on the beach and roll over three times they put a charge in a big pipe on the passenger side to help the Cad roll when the charge went off they realized they over did it and the Caddy rolled ten times the driver got out and said THATS A WRAP!
A cool closing shot would've been the whole team, everyone who took part in putting the truck together, standing in front of it. Especially Polish Smurf.
D I've got to be totally honest with you and say that you have to be enrolled in the custom truck hall of fame as and when they finally decide to get custom fabrication specialists like yous guys recognition for your all of your top shelf projects that you have been involved in! Congratulations on your top quality workmanship as usual!!! You've gone and knocked it out of the park, as per usual 10 out of 10 hansom job guy's 🥳
When I was a kid in OC, California, my father swears that John Wayne called our house by mistake around Christmas and wished us a happy holiday season. He lived in Newport Beach at that time, so it's possible. Even if it's not true, that's my favorite Christmas memory of all time. I'm so happy to see what you guys have done for the Wayne family. Is that your favorite charity?
The Duke would be sitting in the heavenly sheriff's office smiling. "You guys are crazy: she may wear a yellow ribbon, but... I hope you know why I wore the silver star." 🌏🇭🇲
Great Job everyone of you guys that worked on the truck your awesome. I don't know of any shops that would have been able to pull that off in the amount of time that you had to get it done in
You guys definitely out did yourselves on this one.. A great job for a great man... John Wayne was a legend !!! He attended USC and was a brother at my fraternity, Sigma Chi.. ' All Honor To His Name '.. He would be proud.
It's funny seeing Dave and Hans next to that life-sized figure of John Wayne. lol. He was 6'.4". That life-sized figure is on a platform, so it is an inch or so taller, but it does show what a tall man he was. That figure had him much heavier, John Wayne was 6'.4" 170lbs. he was really thin.
Robby did an amazing job.👍👍
Thank you Robby Layton, the paint is amazing
Robby Layton should have been at the Premier, or at least recognized for his phenomenal paint work on the replica truck. Disappointed he wasn't mentioned.
The point of this channel goes beyond a shiny paint job and shiny objects it has to do with Sparks helping people out in Hawaii , in person.
Yeap 👍
Robby Layton did a great job!!!
@@shoutingatclouds1050 He still should get the recognition.
Hell yeah he should of been
Amazing paint job congratulations to Robby Layton!!!!!

I spent my childhood watching John Wayne movies. Reminds me of great memories with my parents that are no longer with us. Thank you ❤
My old stomping grounds. Used to be at the Stockyards Rodeo every Friday night for the radio station for a year. Those trucks are so awesome. The respect for John Wayne is palpable. Love it all.
YOU GUYS KILLED IT !! Nothing special ,it's just standard of how Sparks motor operates .You guys are in a class of your own.
John Wayne was an amazing man and it is incredible to see his legacy continue to improve the lives of people with cancer. What an incredible tribute!
