- Marcus and Heidi Wing have been friends of Sparks Motors since before Sparks Motors existed. Beginning of this last summer Heidi was biking in a race and within hours paralyzed from the neck down. Heidi brings a lot of energy into the lives of those she touches and we wanted to share that energy and excitement with you all.

I'm so in spires by this story, she is not just sitting in a wheel chair and asking for donation. She is doin everything in her well being to get out of that wheel chair. What an inspiration. This story HIT home with Me l to am in a Wheelchair from a car accident and I am paralyzed from waist down. GOD Bless Her l hope she will be walking soon as possible l totally understand the struggles with the Insurance problems. It's now been 18yrs I've been in my wheelchair Thank God that I am able to drive l have a Van that's the ONLY thing that keeps Me going without my Van l would be lost enough of me. Again I'm Sooooo HAPPY for this Lady what a Amazing Awesome story l Wish Her the Best of everything GO GIRL WALK GIRL WALK!!!!!!
OUTSTANDING !!!!!!! I love to see these situations with a positive outcome . I my self was born crippled , had to wear full leg braces for the first eight years of my life . If it had not been for the local crippled children society the outcome WOULD HAVE BEEN different. The support of loving people and emotional support is beyond measure.

omg this story hit me so hard i started crying. i to had a bad bike racing acadent 3 years ago braking my neck in 2 places that pinched my spinal cord giving me a look at life as a head on a stick. i got almost everything back after surgery so i know the strugel she is going through. keep up the good work. i would like to say it gets better but only she knows if it is true. the power of the mind and sperit is a wonderful thing. insperational.
She’s a fighter! Spinal injuries are a nightmare. I’m so proud of her. In March I was a passenger in a commercial vehicle wreck. Had to go through very painful rehab for months. Grateful to be alive and walking.

My heart really goes out to you. I am a paraplegic myself. Paralysed after having a stroke and 53 years old. And I am still fighting. I Ve gained the use of some of my movement in my left arm and hand but still unable to walk. My memory is no good. I sometimes stumble with what I'm saying. Same thing happened to my brother in Motocross this past year. It's extremely hard to witness something like that happen to someone you love. He's making as many PT as he can get into. We're praying for the good Lord to let him walk again someday. Prayers for Heidi and her friends and family.

This story is a love story. It’s about woman that found herself in a different situation than she had ever thought she’d be in. An energetic, active woman enjoying life. It’s about how her husband loves her as much, if not more. It’s a different kind of love. This story could be about me too. While I did not have an accident that affected my mobility, a fast onset of a debilitating disease did. And my husband shows me that same love every day as he battles insurance to cover the things that will keep my life from being robbed further. So I truly related to this. I wish Heidi every success in her recovery and I want to thank Marcus for being a wonderful partner to her. You’ve got this!

I crashed into a tanker at 20knots, the tanker sank.
My dad broke his back in 06 i believe, ups ran into his door jam and peeled open his door, he was unlicensed btw, the cop asked the ups driver what happened and hensaid i thought he was making a right turn and my dads turn signal was still on amd the cop looks at him an says, are you sure. He spent years in bed he can walk now many years later, but he did lay in bed for a few years and didnt do anything... Now hes back working again. It can be done depending on the injury.

It helps greatly that she is still young, much greater chance of reconnecting all the millions of nerves and getting feedback from the muscles.

The moto community is hands down the most family oriented community and I don't mean blood family. My brother inlaw got paralyzed 8 years ago. Complete. Waist down. I don't think he got all of the medical help he could have. It's great to see this woman progressing.

This shows if you fight and never give up you can overcome anything. Heidi is a straight warrior, a 100 mile bike race? She's already chanced the impossible, and now she's coming back to do it again. What Marcus said was completely true, & rehabilitation clinics shouldn't be so financially stressful on people, it shouldn't be determined by financial status... I've made my donation & I hope everyone that is able to donate to this warrior will. And the Sparks Team, it's amazing what you guys do for people. Much love, keep killing it.
As a person who uses a wheelchair because of a spinal cord injury, this one his home. I just want to say good for her that her injury was not complete and that she will have the chance to walk and regain a lot of function. Others, like myself, have complete injuries and have to rely on wheelchairs for our freedom and that is okay too. I hope she gets it and I'm glad that she is a fighter
Most with the right encouragement, mindset etc will always overcome. It’s the motivation you are given. That goes for drug addiction as well. Pray for those folks and help as much as you can. It can and will make a difference
After an accident can be very difficult. She's obviously a fighter, she is overcome a lot. And hopefully she makes a full recovery.

I've been following Heidi's story since it happened. She's a badass and absolutely inspiring.
The Husbands words about the limited help/therapy etc is so on point and many people with the many types of injuries/disabilities end up going with the flow , because funding is limited .
That's another argument for another platform,but you know that there needs to be change.
Just shows you that if you fight. You can overcome adversity. She has the fight and she will walk again. It will definitely be a long battle. I wish her all the luck in her recovery❤

My wife got paralyzed one year ago and seven days to this day. Our biggest struggle is insurance is canceled paying for our therapies. She’s stuck in her chair trying her best but you’re right biggest thing is the insurance doesn’t cover anything after the hospital so now we’re stuck here wishing we had people like you do and a big family around the house but doesn’t always work like that. I’m glad y’all are getting better and she’s making progress. Keep your head up.
Get her in a swimming pool. It’s the most healing exercise for paralysis. I’ve been working on it for 5 years.
