THANK YOU SO MUCH! I started the conversion and couldn’t figure it out using the directions. So I came on here and found your video! I rewinded and watched over and over as I did my conversion ! Thank you so much ! Great video!
This video helped me more than the instructions the kit came with. Fantastic Video, could not have done this without the video. There are some small differences coming from a box stock xl5. You have to remove the bumper to access all five of the screws holding the front assembly to the chassis. I suggest putting the screws in a divided box or cups, then labeling the piles. Thanks!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Im brand new to rcs and this is my first upgrade. You went kinda fast for me, lotd of rewind and pause, but I literally could not have done it without your help. Again, thank you so much! Great video, please keep them coming.
Looking forward to this, just orderd my LCG kit for both my 4x4 and 2wd slash. Knew the 4x4 would be easy but ive never taken the front or rear of the 2wd one off. Thanks for the video it helped!
I love your upgrades vids man, you should be hired by traxxas to do a tutorial series lol or sponsor you on these videos, the vids are very very helpful! thanks again!
Thanks for this video, It came in very hand... One Note though... Now maybe this is a change in how the kit was made at the factory since this video was made.. But I found that even stock straight out of the box you still need to remove the bumper mount from the transmission. Otherwise the rear end doesn't just slide off.
Hi there, I'd just like to say thanks for the video. I'm new to all this and your video helped me up-grade the slash in a manner that I could keep up with :) Nice one Dood.
Great video. Thanks to you I didn't even have to look at the instructions ! My red STRC battery strap still seems to work. Im not sure why yours wouldn't work. My only issue is getting the front suspension how I had it with the stock springs. For me it seems the new springs are a lot shorter and changed up my suspension, but if I leave the HCG springs on without spacers it seems like a little to much. Have to play with it.
Nice! You won't regret converting creature to lcg! I think it's one of the must-have upgrades for the slash 2wd and 4x4. They become better bashers and better racers. I really suggest it.
Well done!!!! Excellent from start to finish! I bought a different color chassis too, didn't care for the blue. Do you have a video of how to dye the chassis?? Thanks!
I REALLY want to see Creature decked out with leds that would be cool.. i also just got my lcg kit after seeing this and glad i found darkecliptic heart. helps me find upgrades and cool looking cosmetics add on's that my local dealer doesn't sell
Jason S If its brushed, yes they will barley reach but not fully, so they'll come unconnected. I honestly don't know what to tell you other than if you want to keep your stock system, dermal down the chassis and screw holes and ridges that the esc normally sits on and double side tape your esc further back on the chassis, or you could get a VXL or castle system which will reach the motor.
I can't believe traxxas did this. I have the vxl but traxxas should have added a extension for the brushed motor or said that this won't work for the brushed. I would have called traxxas and tell them. they could send you 2 bullet extensions to allow you to have the brushed motor as a backup. I would do that if i were you.
David Morawsky me neither man! my friend had to solder longer wires from a different brushed motor on to his titan 12t just so it could reach the esc. But not everyone can solder well.
+Racing2Learn It still does require the servo saver. The only reason why I don't have one on here is that I have the proline performance steering bellcranks with the servo saver integrated into the bellcranks.
Man your videos are what keep me working on my slash, I want to upgrade my slash but money is kinda hard to use I'm wanting to get the sidewinder like yours but idk how good it is, could you make a run video or just tell me how you like it compared to the veleneon
Hey man I did this lcg chassis and I hooked up all electronics and now when I turn it accelerates and I get nothing when I put throttle I get nothing also when I steer I gets the throttle and the steering servo wants to steer but it won't I don't have the little spring that goes in the servo saver because I can't put It on
I just started a rustler build! My very first rc ! I broke it on the second time running it so I need upgrades badly! Please help what's the best aluminum parts I can get for the 2wd rustler and the motor needs upgrading as well but I have limited funds so that will have to wait for a while! Any advice will help
The front turn buckles are to long that connect to the turn rods so the travel has been affected so I have to trim them at order new ones! Don't know why they came with two extra holes
If u had the budget when u bought the car you would've saved a lot of money by getting the 70 mph one, then you wouldn't have to replace the engine until u choose u wanted to be getting like 100 mph instead of 70mph, good shocks for the rustler would be pro line shocks, if u have a local hobby shop you should be able to go in theyre and ask then for best shocks, but that also depends on your budget, I bought the pro line pro spec shocks for my slash and they were $53 at my hobbytown, so depending on ur price range will depend on how fast u can upgrade to alluminum, I'm slowly going to allmuinum because I don't have a great budget,
Hey man that old frame not to be mean but can I please have it I want to git my fleat bigger becouse all I have is one and it a stampede 2wd and man I cant do much all I know about mine is how to tack off the motor and esc and ur videos help me with that
One of the better “how to” vids I have seen on RC. Keep doing what your doing!
Where was this video when I needed it? Dude you crushed all the lengthy videos I’ve seen. Kudos!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I have to thank you because your video made it so easy for me to install my LCG. Your truck is very nice I really like all the upgrades.
Thanks for a great video. I appreciate how you you explained the servo differances. Really helpful.
Thanks dude this video helped me a lot! It was hard for me to assemble the front part but after this video it was easy!
Looking forward to this, just orderd my LCG kit for both my 4x4 and 2wd slash. Knew the 4x4 would be easy but ive never taken the front or rear of the 2wd one off. Thanks for the video it helped!
Thank you for the video, just installed this on my slash and your video was a great help.
very nice, you are extremely good at making things clear.
very nice man Creature is looking BEASTLY!!
I love your upgrades vids man, you should be hired by traxxas to do a tutorial series lol or sponsor you on these videos, the vids are very very helpful! thanks again!

Very nice man. I just got my 2wd slash vxl-tsm 3s not even a month ago and already switching to lcg haha. My first big dawg rc also
Lost me at 2:48. I have stock and removed a total of 7 screws, yet the front assembly won't budge.
Hi there, I'd just like to say thanks for the video. I'm new to all this and your video helped me up-grade the slash in a manner that I could keep up with :)
Nice one Dood.
Nice well detailed video. Easily one of the best upgrades for a Slash 2wd.
My motor wires don't reach after this mod, any help??????
Dude that is the best tutorial ever
I got mine in to day :) and will be using this video to help install keep the vids coming

Andy99monster I’m debating on wether or not I should get it I feel like it will bottom out and get stuck more often
1:55 - 2:10 he said "waterproof receiver box" like 5 times
Lol he did
XD

I just got a traxxas 2wd lcg kit along with rpm shock towers and it took me just over 3 hours to install
Very cool Creature looks great!
I love your upgrade videos for creature! I'm thinking about getting the LCG chassis and GTR shocks for my Slash VXL
Well done!!!! Excellent from start to finish! I bought a different color chassis too, didn't care for the blue. Do you have a video of how to dye the chassis?? Thanks!
There is grey, black and blue. I was thinking Plastidip.
2 words. Bad ass!
Creature is amazing now!
Can't believe Slash 2wd LCG kit was OLD!!
What is the point of the new chassis?
U need some proline trenchers on those green rims they r sweet tires on the truck
It just looks better with LCG. Great vid.
great vid. pretty easy upgrade with a huge impact.
Excellent tutorial! What did you do to shorten the servo arm?
i came to your channel for help on my rustler too
Hey nice video what servo arm are you using ?
Hi ! Nice video, what kind of servo horn are you using ? . 25T ? How large ? Thanks
Wow thanks for the video. Helped a ton!
My motor wires won't reach after this mod, any help ???????
I REALLY want to see Creature decked out with leds that would be cool.. i also just got my lcg kit after seeing this and glad i found darkecliptic heart. helps me find upgrades and cool looking cosmetics add on's that my local dealer doesn't sell
Thanks for the help. 🤙🏻
I think i need to get this. My slash flips alot in grass.
It'll help
great video thank you it helped quite a bit
Great vid now I have to get the LCG
Cause my chassie is broken and it hard to get one some of hobby store are to far away
thanks so much me and my brother race and we wanted to get lcg kits and i had to do the work and i found this vid and I sub.
thats a beautiful truck i want sc truck now I don't really like trucks but hey i haven't tryed my 4wd truck yet so i cant complain
Someone please help, my motor wires won't reach now, what's up? All stock but the lcg kit.
I got a castle! Thanks
Jason S you're welcome! Good choice on the castle
David Morawsky me neither man! my friend had to solder longer wires from a different brushed motor on to his titan 12t just so it could reach the esc. But not everyone can solder well.
Do you even drive your RC's? They are so clean!
where can I get that servo arm at , good vid
Excellent video! So no servo saver needed?
+Racing2Learn It still does require the servo saver. The only reason why I don't have one on here is that I have the proline performance steering bellcranks with the servo saver integrated into the bellcranks.
I see, thanks! How do you like the proline bellcranks? Debating between those and the other aluminum options.
+Racing2Learn For performance I'd suggest he PL ones. However if you're really into bashing I'd highly suggest the Aluminum one.
Thanks for your advice! I've been a long time subscriber, love your videos! They're a tremendous help!
Where did you get your heat sink?
Seems like the stock ESC doesn't work. My motor leads are too short
best upgrade ever!!!
My motor wires won't reach after this mod, what's up?
jdssurf what kind of motor do you have?
The stock brushed motor..........
I'd love to know what the actual cost of these upgrades are. Got to be 5x what you have spent.
the lcg chassis is 30 bucks
Phoenix Errlybird
plus the 30 other donated upgrades.
Are their any running videos of the updated Creature?
Sadly no. I'll try to upload one as soon as I can :)
Okay! :)
nice, i upgraded my slash, and after watching that video i feel stupid, because i took so many extra steps
All hardware is provided ?
Thx this was really helpful!
Is the receiver box waterproof?
Lmao
I did this install
I needed to see you do it
All the videos you just did with creature LMAO
How was the performance ? Still rolls easily be honest lol.
What size are the shorter bell crank screws as I am not ordering the full kit, but only what I need. Saving quite a bit of money that way.
Hey bud, where did you get the mount for the controller? So it will screw into my lcg.
Yo where’d you get the green wire shrouds
I found out the screws I was asking about for the steering bell crank are 3 x10mm.
Man your videos are what keep me working on my slash, I want to upgrade my slash but money is kinda hard to use I'm wanting to get the sidewinder like yours but idk how good it is, could you make a run video or just tell me how you like it compared to the veleneon
he made a video comparing the two already
What is the plate you use in this video to mount the castle esc to the lcg chassis???
where can I find the black one
Just installed this on mine but my original slash didn't have nerf bars so what screw length and size do I need
What are those green wire cover called on the motor wire darkeclipticheart
Could you tell me what servo arm was used
My front assembly won’t slide off, any help?
What esc do u use? And where did u get that mounting plate?
Jake Lukanik that’s the RPM mourning plate and I think it’s the Castle Sidewinder 3
Where can I get those mud flaps that you had
Rpm mud flaps you also need rpm rear bumber
Can we see some running videos of something please
You're kind of like RaceGrooves and I like that.
How?
Nice upgrade no outtakes
Sometimes I get lucky and don't have to take reshoots.
darkeclipticheart I know the feeling lol
is kojot rich or somthing, should send some parts my way
Doesn't the lcg reduce the spring/shock effectiveness?
Did I mention I get these really annoying seasonal allergies?
I am new to rc so what is on his motor
Hey man I did this lcg chassis and I hooked up all electronics and now when I turn it accelerates and I get nothing when I put throttle I get nothing also when I steer I gets the throttle and the steering servo wants to steer but it won't I don't have the little spring that goes in the servo saver because I can't put It on
Plug the ESC into channel 2. You plugged it into channel 1. Plug the servo into channel 1.
I broke my stock chassis. Do you still have the stock you may wanna sell?
Sorry but I already gave it away.
The upgrade I have waiting for thee lcg
darkeclipticheart how do I reverse the steering on my remote and how to I adjust the arm to the servo, I am new to the RC world. Thanks for your help.
I just started a rustler build! My very first rc ! I broke it on the second time running it so I need upgrades badly! Please help what's the best aluminum parts I can get for the 2wd rustler and the motor needs upgrading as well but I have limited funds so that will have to wait for a while! Any advice will help
Did u get 70 mph or 30 mph
Mason Hackler! The 30mph ! I bought a aluminum hop up kit for it but some parts don't fit so I gotta order them again!
The front turn buckles are to long that connect to the turn rods so the travel has been affected so I have to trim them at order new ones! Don't know why they came with two extra holes
If u had the budget when u bought the car you would've saved a lot of money by getting the 70 mph one, then you wouldn't have to replace the engine until u choose u wanted to be getting like 100 mph instead of 70mph, good shocks for the rustler would be pro line shocks, if u have a local hobby shop you should be able to go in theyre and ask then for best shocks, but that also depends on your budget, I bought the pro line pro spec shocks for my slash and they were $53 at my hobbytown, so depending on ur price range will depend on how fast u can upgrade to alluminum, I'm slowly going to allmuinum because I don't have a great budget,
Wait, so we don't need skid parts for this upgrad ?
Nope. This setup doesn't use them at all.
Nice
My esc keeps blinking green can you help me please
i did everything u did with my slash and now ther is something wrong with my motor
Um it does not have anything to do with the motor so you probably did something terribly wrong.
Did u ever figure it out
So u cant put a 2wd body on that lcg?
Kana Rc Yes you can put a 2wd body on it.
darkeclipticheart 👌👍
Could this work with the traxxas slash on board?
Probbably you will have to find more room for the sound unit it all depends
Yes you can place the audio module in the front of the chassis..sort of under the shock tower
were Can I get the battery extension from?
You can get it at your local hobby store, or if none can buy on eBay or Amazon. The model number is TRX5827x
+impjig What genesis RC said
How do you reverse the steering??
Maxwell LZ depends on the method of programming done with your transmitter
Maxwell Kollasch u hit set the red little button and hold it make sure your care is on then turn your wheel clockwise
Hey man that old frame not to be mean but can I please have it I want to git my fleat bigger becouse all I have is one and it a stampede 2wd and man I cant do much all I know about mine is how to tack off the motor and esc and ur videos help me with that
my servo is running backwards
Look it up how to change its simple
+QuentinC trust me
Creature has had Back Surgery.
I just broke my servo tf did I do wrong
Did u figure it out
Your next upgrade should be lights :)
Anyone know if I can use the stock battery brace with the low-CG upgrade?
Garrett Codd I don’t think you can but I’m pretty sure the new chasy comes with on
can you give away the creature chassis
I'm going to do a giveaway for it on the next RC Weekly.
WOO
Am I the only one who has a million random screws lying on the floor in a big pile? 😂
