Picked up the snappy mount when I ordered my LCG chassis to replace my custom mount that was the same as yours. Then was looking over different forums on the LCG just seeing more of what people said and of course on the bottom of one of the pages there was a link to this new ESC mount by my favorite upgrade company. Now I'll have to order it. Thanks for me videos really nice to see the parts being installed be for I even purchase them. My beast is closer to yours but my theme has been blue and black matches my NAPA Chassis body.
Joe Schmoe If you have the SV3 SCT system, the built-in fan will fit. If you just got the Castle motor fan and stuck it on top of the ESC, it doesn't look like it will.
I think traxxas lipos are horrible, theyre 25c 5000 mah 2s is over $50! And Jang from URC did a review on their old ones and he wasnt impressed at all. I use SMC 2s 40c 5000mah lipos and they are only $25 each! Yes $25 each! And the run soooooo good. Just google smc batteries and u will find their site
***** I think that the ID batteries is a gimmick to make Traxxas control the Battery market. I hate the new plugs and would prefer to use the Chargers and Batteries that are already out there.
Will this be able to fit on the rustler? Right now I have the Snappy R.C. Esc plate for my sidewinder and I really don't like it. Also, will the Castle esc fan fit while in the cage? It would be a bummer if it doesn't.
Honestly no. After playing with both of them for a while I have to side with the Velineon system. But the castle system has a better price and it isn't that much worse then the Velineon. In fact the difference is really small.
If you're running an SCT, I would go with the Castle Sidewinder SCT combo with the 3800kv motor. It's not much faster than the VXL, but it can handle 3S better and has loads of torque, I picked up a combo brand new for $100 on ebay.

Braden Wuesthoff For the price and performance, GensAce seems to be the best in my opinion. Traxxas and MaxAmps are expensive.
