Might be a dumb question, but does this in any way affect the lifespan of the vehicle? I’ve been waiting for this but I’ve since hit 100k miles and wonder if I’ll expect increased engine issues. Please reply, thank you.
RIPP Supercharger systems will not affect the engine durability. Supercharged engines, not unlike turbos, operate in vacuum almost all the time. When in boost, at full throttle, the forces on the engine are still lower than the engine's own rotational forces. As a general rule, the worst thing you can do to your engine is over rev it (exceed the vehicle manufacturer's specified red line), run non-premium fuel, overboost your engine via pulley changes, and modifying your vehicle with aftermarket heads, cams, etc. without retuning the computer and fuel system to accommodate such changes.
I have a 2014 jgc summit with air sus. 70k miles. Will this ripp hinder longevity of the vehicle forcing it to work harder? Was thinking g of getting a new ram1500 limited or larimie GT. A ripp on that would be cool

Hello @carter_live4650 At RIPP we believe being 100% real with customers. Obviously a turbo is more efficient for any engine, period. HOWEVER. when were talking about a jeep, a turbo is not the best direction. Some reasons include, Heat Turbo Oil and Coolant lines Turbo lag Intake air temps The Vortech V3 blower in our system is remote mounted to prevent heat soak, we also use a front mount intercooler to properly cool boosted air before going into the engine. Of course, Those are great questions. 1/2: Due to the tuning, and the upgraded injectors, there should be no issues with fuel consumption. Depending on how you drive, it could even increase your MPG. 3: We do not have a 0-60, but we have plenty of videos planned. 4: Due to our extensive testing process, and the tuning, we have had no issues with long drives and the internals of the vehicles. As long as the correct maintenance is done to both the kit and the internals, you should be alright. 5: We have not had any issues regarding overheating with our supercharger kits. Since we use superchargers and not turbo chargers, it is using the rotational force of the crank, instead of exhaust fumes, as well as there is a intercooler that cools all of the air down, lastly, the oil does not heat up to the degree of a turbocharger. 6: Please check out or link to the product here: rippmods.com/products/2016-2021-jeep-grand-cherokee-3-6-v6-supercharger-kit?_pos=24&_fid=ab12b0a13&_ss=c for more information on it, including pricing. 7: Yes, we build all of our supercharger systems so that you can build and maintenance it at home, though we do recommend someone who either has experience with our kits in the past, or experience with superchargers. We do not have any machining to your vehicle that you will need to do to your vehicle, so you can defiantly do it at home. Still waiting for a reply on the torque and what the 0-60 time is on this before I purchase one?? I would like to think the 0-60 would be just under 6secs
Hello, while the vehicles are certainly capable of 0-60 hits we do not advertise those times. With the amount of variables that exist from weather. hp. tires, road surface etc. it is something that opens all aftermarket parts companies up to upset customers over .3s variances. Torque is around 320ft/lbs
@@RIPPMODS thanks for the reply but there must be a rough estimate with a variable of plus 3 secs or so If they say a standard Jeep grand Cherokee does 0-60 in 7.3secs
Can this kit handle and generate 20-25 psi of boost and if so how many psi max can this kit generate with pulley upgrades given the proper custom mods/upgrades are made to engine !!! How far are the limitations of this specific kit
20-25psi would be in the 650hp awd range (800hp at the crank). The engine would never handle that amount of boost pressure. Our standard supercharger kit will produce 10psi add about 175hp to the Cherokee. Brining you up to 375hp... with some further tuning you can probably hit 390-400. What's your horse power goal?
I have a 2017 jeep overland, would this kit make the check engine light come on? Or would my warning lights work normally? Also does it impact the longevity of my engine ?
Assuming your actually pulling a 393 WHP that would convert to over 500HP on the AWD v6 Grand Cherokee ! Isnt that way too much boost for the engine ? Or am i missing something and not converting properly ?
I believe you're attempting to calculate flywheel horse power? The drivetrain loss is about 22% on this vehicle so power at the flywheel would be 479. Regarding boost pressure, our kits produce about 10psi. We have pully options for builds that want require more boost, but the 10psi range is safe... there's room to grow if you need more.
@@StevenLNew Internally the engine is identical. Turbo isn't the only option, there just isn't room for a centrifugal supercharger. Other superchargers may be able to be fitted with some custom work

Hello @chaseboy225, That is a great question. It all depends on how you drive the vehicle. If it is just a street vehicle, and you are cruising down the highway most of the time, the gas mileage should stay the same, if not, increase slightly. If you are hitting the acceleration/ drag racing/ making that sweet, sweet power, the gas mileage should stay around the same, if not, go slightly down. @@tawajnmitchell5852 We don't tell anyone this because it is wildly untrue. The factory Pentastar is 10 years and 12,000 RIPP Supercharger kits strong. There are a handful currently making 500+whp on their setups with nitrous, meth injection, E85, etc. Like any engine and aftermarket power adders one can certainly find the limit if they choose to push for it without proper knowledge and/or the wrong tuner.

Hell yeah, finally! Haha. Might need to cash out my extended warranty that would otherwise be void anyways and throw that money into this Ripp kit next year lol. Does the kit include a new PCM? Or do I need to buy one? The site is not speciation.
ALL 2015+ 3.6 Jeep Grand Cherokee's will require an unlocked PCM from HP-Tuners. (unlock service included with supercharger kit) once your order is placed you'll receive an e-mail with instructions.

Late to the game here, just bought a 19 v6 Grand Cherokee. Do you recommend the high performance coil packs as well or are they included, since that number was using them? Also most aftermarket boost options I have seen for other vehicles recommend a better exhaust system, I don't find that anywhere mentioned on your site, is it recommended or required?
Hello @chasedown26
We loved working on that vehicle during R&D. The coilpacks will have to be purchased separately, they do not come included in a purchase of the supercharger kit for that vehicle. Wouldn’t twin turbo be more efficient?
Hello @carter_live4650
At RIPP we believe being 100% real with customers.
Obviously a turbo is more efficient for any engine, period. HOWEVER. when were talking about a jeep, a turbo is not the best direction. Some reasons include,
Heat Turbo
Oil and Coolant lines
Turbo lag
Intake air temps
The Vortech V3 blower in our system is remote mounted to prevent heat soak, we also use a front mount intercooler to properly cool boosted air before going into the engine. It has no stray coolant lines and produces little to no heat.

Can the 845re transmission handle the torque of the supercharger on the 3.6l jeeps? I have a 2016 grand cherokee high altitude
Yes, we have been selling these for a very long time. Remember the 845re is designed to tow a considerable amount of weight. The entire drive-train has proven itself fully capable of handling our power. Check out this FAQ video (th-cam.com/video/ZS2yF9dAkkU/w-d-xo.html), it covers this topic and a few others as well.
How does this affect fuel consumption? How much more does the car eat? How much from 0-60? How bad will the transmission and motor be in the long run? No overheating? And how much does this setup cost? And would the average person be able to install on their own? Thanks
Of course,
Those are great questions.

I’ve watched a couple of these videos and was curious, what exactly changed with the grand Cherokee V6 that these kits are now making almost 400awhp compared to older ones that only made 365awhp?
It is more so that he earlier kits were also early on in our development of the Pentastar program. There is a smaller pulley on this kit as well as a couple of years worth of tuning R&D. The 11-15 kits are capable of making the same power.

This kit is not CARB certified yet but will definitely be. We'll be announcing when it is.
Everything works as normal, just a lot faster. No dash lights. Engine longevity is not affected.
@@RIPPMODS thanks will be saving to get this kit !!
Yeah 10 psi wont be hurting anything
Why nothing for the Cherokee 3.2 V6?
I'm not looking for 400 HP (all though that would be cool)
Anywhere in the low to mid 300's would be great!!!
The engine is mounted transversely therefore there is not enough room to fit the supercharger.
