  • This Mine starts with a shaft that goes down about 150 ft. It splits left and right and leads to all sorts of cliffs and other drifts. I think It was worked from the early 1900's until the late 1900's, and they mined talc here. Not much of an ending to this cause I ran out of battery. part two of this explore can be found here: • Using Rope To Explore ...

I Like their Catch Phrase... "Let's go and check it out!" I used to explore places like this with my friends back in the day... lots of cool old Silver and copper mines in Arizona and up into New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, and the 4 corners area where Colorado meets the other 3 states. Lots of un places to see. I'm only 57 however, an accident put me into a wheelchair 13yrs ago, so no more mountain climbing, trail hiking, and old cave/mine explorations anymore. I'm now living vicariously thru your incredible videos. Thank You for reminding me of the fun and excitement!

I live in Gainesville Georgia and there are a lot of mines. There is the copper mines close to Dahlonega, I've been to them and they are dangerous. It was rumored the a lady named Sheila I forgot her last name was killed and threw down one of the shafts. I know she was killed because I worked with her, her body was never found. Her boyfriend was arrested for the murder. She lived about 5 miles from the copper mines.
