The 'tube worm' fossils are Crinoids - they were sea creatures (though look like plants) that attach to the sea bottom - similar to a sea anemone. It's normal to just find sections of the stem.Thanks for yet another stunning cave vid - best wishes from Scotland.

@@joshstauber3335 That's one thing I both admire and detest about these videos! 😅 Every video they stumble apon some new, God-tier secret location, like straight out of Indiana Jones, and I always really want to know where it is so I can respectfully explore it too, LOL! But try as I must, 90% of the time, I can't find it, and I'm normally pretty good at tracking down cool places.
@@joshstauber3335 I hate when people don't disclose cave's or mines .Im new to this exploring hobby, and I live in AZ so it's good because there is thousands and thousands of mines but it's bad because there are a couple things that make it more dangerous than other places. Anyways my point is it saves my ass if the professionals with all the equipment got down and find out the air is bad or a hundred other reasons that I would say nope not going there 😂 there was a awesome website that gave you all the names and what material was mined . and if it was mapped out , plus a difficulty level
@@davidgibbs1083 people don't disclose these locations so that inexperienced people don't take on a challenge they aren't prepared for (and also to prevent vandalism). caving can be a safe activity if you follow safety protocols, but caving is definitely not safe if you enter a cave you just saw on youtube and thought "I could do that." obv not saying that's you :)
one thing you could try is joining a caving grotto near you. they're clubs filled with knowledgeable and experienced cavers who'll be able to point you in the direction of the "secret" locations and can take you with them on trips so that you have skilled support
Yeah, ^they've been respectful to the caves, but we definitely can't say the same about the countless people there before them who've been spilling their mocha cappuccinos all down the walls! 1:02
I just love your channel. I’m a 72 year old woman who wish I could be there with you in my heart and in my mind I’m still 18 and can be there with you. I also appreciate the fact that your boys have a respectful vocabulary. So many other channel is the people vocabulary should be blip blip blip out yours doesn’t need to be, and I’m grateful to see that in young men.

Amazing how you can walk through the woods and see a little hole and go into the hole only to find an amazing cave that seems to go on for a long way down and out. Makes you wonder how many other such caves exist that haven't been discovered yet...
Surely tens of thousands minimum across the US. I always wonder how many caves are just underneath us at any given moment, caves that just haven’t quite yet breached the ground so we can find them

Same. I'd be terrified to crawl through a tiny gap under all of that rock. I have a hard enough time watching other people do it, but the fact that the video got uploaded to the internet is kind of a guarantee that everybody made it out. Imagine if they took several omni cameras with them and turned it into a VR experience. Each cave system could be DLC.

I had to give up watching it - before 2 minutes in - because I felt so claustrophobic - and I don't think of myself as being claustrophobic - but this did it for me.

Ive been Geocaching for 14 years... but that has to be the coolest cache ive seen by far. ive done some 5/5 caches... but this is like a 10/10 haha. Epic footage and beautiful formations. thanks for the journey and sharing your experience!

Almost crazier to me, is that you can be walking around up top without ANY idea what's below you. This is an entirely different world that 99.9% of humans will never experience. Insane.

Honestly it's insane how deep such a small hole opens into. Like imagine just hikinh not paying attention viewing the landscape. Then BOOM, you're hundreds of feet in the earth. That's just crazy.

@oriraykai3610 Right, especially on old properties. In the Midwest if you come across a couple fieldstone rubble that could of been a base from a structure keep your eyes down and look for more stone where the long grass, shrubs grew. Boards in time will rot and in time a thin layer of dirt and weeds will grow on them. I've come across a couple and I will stack stone around them to make it visible.

I finally climbed a big old growth tree and I'd be willing to climb a steep cliff, but I just cannot conquer my fear of going underground. I'll be buried in the dirt one day, but I am not eager to go there ahead of time. I am having anxiety just watching this! I sure admire you for doing this.

When it comes to going under ground in a cave, I have no balls. knowing that you made this video lets me know you survived the exploration. I get chills just thinking about getting trapped in a cave. You dudes are crazy, yet I love seeing all the cool things under are feet that you bring to life. I use to be a fossil rock hound in my younger days, and just loved seeing some of the things you discovered I am so glad there are crazy adventurous folks like you to bring this wonderful stuff to all of us who lack the ability to do this kind of exploring on our own. Amazing formations! Incredible how alive a cave is with tiny amounts of minerals in the water dripping in creating a natural art gallery in the pitch black. The cave doesn't care if anyone ever sees it. You guys are very fortunate to do what you do.

I have been enjoying your cave videos for about 6 months now. This was such an awesome cave you found! Thank you, gentleman, for what you share with us “normal” folks. I have viewed other cave channels, but yours is the BEST! Why? No music, no blasphemy (you say, “Oh my gosh!”), no excessive banter, perfect commentary, great camera work, great editing. I watch these with my 17yo son and you got this old guy yelling, “SKETCH!!!” all the time and my son laughs. Thanks again! Be safe!

It is absolutely astonishing that there exists vast spaces as gigantic and beautiful as this underneath everyone’s feet and only a rare few even know they are there!!! I mean who would ever guess by looking at the small opening in the forest floor that there would be this massive, beautiful and fascinating space down there?!? 😱

Kind of scares me when thinking about that. Could be standing over a giant, deep asf cavern with only a few inches of rock of a false floor keeping you from plunging down. Sink holes seem to be wide spread ☠️

Ah, yes, there is that and there is the even more scary idea: with unbelievably vast spaces such as this one more than likely everywhere down there, who knows what type of creature or creatures may live down there 😱🤔🤷🏼♀️

Thanks for not giving locations. These are the kinds of things that should be known to those who seek and build the skills and respect to properly explore. I’m the same with other outdoor locations of interest. These days, you blast locations on social and you get 100 Sprinter Vans full of Vlogger/influencer D Bags trying to commodify and extract the fun from everything by turning everything into “consumables”.
1000% agree, not to mention all the looters who never put in the hard work, but destroy everything and all the benefits for others, and all the rarities in these caves. I love to see a respectful group enter these places
This one isn't easy to find by any means. Caves like this will turn you into a consumeable lol. I'm glad they found it. I was always curious about what was over there. Not to worry about 100 vans. You'd have to be extremely observant and have a word of mouth guide to even consider attempting to find this one. Also camping isn't allowed in the parking area. Vloggers would find themselves with nowhere to stay. No worries. They won't even be able to find hotel rooms available anywhere within 50 miles. Even if they stayed in the nearest large city, it's a 2 hour drive and a one hour hike. There's alot of details to consider about this one, many of which will have retreated back to their vehicles once they realized that they are covered with a couple hundred ticks.
@@dennismcginnis I this 2 bit? I have listened to podcasts that detail the incredible danger of this cave, trying to find pics/ vids to see it. Rusty Riley’s story of it gives me incredible respect for these amazing explorers.
And they throw their trash everywhere.

So amazing that that tiny little hole in the earth opens up into these enormous caverns and the most amazing cave formations I've ever seen! That giant pure white stalagmite was just incredible, never seen anything like it! And I gotta say, it'd be hard not to pocket some of those cave pearls. 😉 It's nice to see how respectful you guys are towards the formations though.

Awesome video! I've been in love with caves and mining since I was six..70 years ago. My dad mined uranium near Moab and I camped with him on the claims and would wandered..my favorite find was dinosaur bones laying on the ground near one of the mines..almost lost my bearings finding my way back to camp..pretty scary!

Another great video! Sometimes when I watch your videos, I just keep saying, "Oh my God!" because it's so magnificent. One of the things that makes your videos so good is the LIGHTING. You guys light caves up so they can really be seen. Too many caving videos consist more or less of only the spot of light from the flashlight moving over the details of a scene that can otherwise not be seen. I really appreciate this

These videos always make me wish a dev studio would make a full caving experience videogame where you're an explorer in a fantasy world delving caves and finding ancient relics and ruins.
The caves are based on real caves like in videos here and on Caveman's channel. (Giant caves vs claustrophobic caves), but you mix in fantastical environments as well.
No combat at all necessary, just a game fully about exploration and finding interesting things, from magical utilities, to things that you can use for Base Building to build your own settlement on the surface, which itself wouldn't be lacking for exotic scenery.
A 100% peaceful game with no violence needed. Explore. Discover. Build. Create. Navigate caves, climb mountains, solve ruin puzzles (Climbing and caving itself being like a puzzle itself, in where you can fit, where you can safely move next, etc).
If they nail that, they could include Hunting and Agriculture as DLC, or part of the base game if they think they can do it easily enough to not need to wait for extra funds via dlc'ing it.
No fantasy could copy the reality of this !

@@MacGuffin1234 No. It'd be something in the ball park of Tomb Raider - Death Stranding - Breath of the Wild, and Some open world games.
But cutting combat, the devs focus on the mechanics of exploration. They'd have to pioneer a lot of tech for how to do caving right, it'd require a lot of physics, feedback, and camera tricks to pull off crawls and such.
By all means include combat, but it shouldn't be the focus.
If there is combat, it shouldn't be RPG-like combat, rather, it should be Monster Hunter-like combat-> a focus on the occasional boss monsters.
Outer Wilds fills some of those and is a great game.

This makes me think about a sinkhole that opened in a neighbor's yard. For a short time a hole opened so dark no flashlight could light anything in it. A side collapsed and the hole was hidden again, and eventually the sinkhole was filled over. Since then, how many people have walked over it, completely unaware of the possibly large cave below their feet. More interestingly, how many times do we all walk over caves maybe as big and cool as this one, without a clue of what lies beneath. This is one of my favorite videos you've made.

Twins, your videos are incredible, this cave is unbelievable. However, what you are doing is incredibly dangerous. Please be careful because accidents happen so easily. On another note, the geology of this cavern is so interesting. I am in the drilling business and we drill oil wells that are between 15000 and 25000 feet deep. The drill cuttings come up and we inspect them for traces of hydrocarbons and sometimes find polished looking stones which look exactly like these pearls in your video. Other times we lose circulation and all of our drilling mud disappears into the hole. I have pumped more than 200,000 gallons of drilling mud into a lost circulation zone, and it never returns. There must be giant caves deep underground that are so big, we could never fill them up with fluids. The zones are called "lost circulation zones" and you guys are definitely in one!
It is really crazy that when we walk everyday, this kind of stuff is right under our feet. Really cool vid and funny seeing a geocache there too.

I don't understand why you compare this to building our country? cave exploration didn't build this country. every country in the world has had great explorers risking it all to see the most unexplored parts. It is just called history and eventual discovery of things over time. this video has nothing to do with "keeping our country great" people have been doing this for fun for a long long time. your comment would have been much better if you just said "this was a great video" no need to project propagandized terms onto a simple cave video that somehow relates to keeping the country great.
